Special thanks go to my teachers.When I first entered uni versity, I had no understanding of the profession at all, and through their guidance over the past five years, I now have some understanding of the construction industry myself. In particular, my tutor, Ms Sandra Ng, has been very patient in teaching me the most basic things, such as how to measure to reduce errors, how to find the information I want on the internet, and even how to make friends with the residents. At the same time, she has given me many opportunities, both in research and real projects. We went to the village together to talk to the villagers and stayed up late to write our thesis together, which was a wonderful and rewarding experience.
Special thanks to my parents. I come from a small city where studying abroad is not common. But my parents have always supported me unconditionally in pursuing my dreams. My mum has always been there to give me strength whenever I feel crushed by the pressure.
Special thanks to my friends. During my time at university, my friends and I collaborated on many jobs and we all have a full love for architecture and retain a passion for it. My friends have brought different perspectives to my thinking and taught me many things outside of my studies.
Finally, a special thanks to myself. I am grateful to my past self for choosing architecture as a profession, a profession that I love and that is full of possibilities. Whether it was the physically demanding construction work, the imaginative de sign work or the research work that required getting into the real world, I enjoyed it all. I can say for sure that architecture is the right profession for me.
