from The LIU – April 2023
by zhbcatl
Come experience the power of loving, praying, and serving as women gather in unity from the SIS (Sisters in Sync), Mothers’, and Prayer Ministries for a Power Surge Brunch Saturday, May 6, 2023, 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Love Center Fellowship Hall.
As you contemplate how God will speak to your spirit during this spiritually empowering Brunch, you can enjoy a wonderful meal prepared by a caterer that serves in the Zion Hill Culinary Ministry, experience God ministering to your spirit through the Emcee, Sister Adina Martin, hear the Zion Hill Praise Ringers under the leadership of Sister Barbara Denson as they praise God through chimes, hear the melodious sounds of Zion Hill Harpist Camille Richardson, and receive a Christ inspired message from Minister Sebe Dalieh, guest speaker for the Brunch.
You will also see and experience praise through dance, or hear a testimony that may give you hope for the future for you or a loved one, and may inspire you to realize your spiritual place of service for Christ, so if you’re unsure of where and how God wants you to serve, or you don’t think that you are qualified to serve, transform those thoughts and step out on faith that He has a role for you in His Kingdom.
The women of Zion Hill who serve in the SIS, Mothers’ and Prayer Ministries want you to experience a “Power Surge” and attend to learn how you can give God your best through service.
Acts 2:1-4 the “Day of Pentecost,” demonstrates the Power of God’s Holy Spirit when God’s people gather in unity for worship and service to Christ. Here is what Acts 2:1-4 says.
“When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from Heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues as of fire, appeared among them and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the spirit gave them.”
Can you imagine and visualize those Power Surge-filled moments provided by the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost?
The Power Surge Brunch also focuses on 2 Timothy 1:7 “God didn’t give us a spirit that is timid but one that is powerful, loving, and self-controlled (CEB-Common English Version). Don’t worry about whether you have a valuable role to play. God has gifted all His believers and servants with a role to serve inside and outside the walls of His Church. Be there to experience the Power Surge Brunch and, of course, the fun, fellowship, and door prizes.
