On February 26th, 2023, Zion Hill Baptist Church hosted our electrifying Black History Month Program. This year’s program was curated by our new Youth Ministry Leader, Reverend Brenton Cox and the Zion Hill Youth and Children’s Ministry.

The program featured a moving congregational Hymn “Lift Every Voice and Sing” followed by special musical and dance tributes by the Azizi Children’s Choir and our Zion Hill Praise Team. Zion Hill’s “Kiroho” Spiritual Dance Ministry also performed Stand Up by Cynthia Erivo.

This year’s program also featured an intermedia showcase celebrating Black History and Georgia History set to Ray Charle’s Georgia on My Mind and an oral presentation by our Youth Ministry.
“Creating this special Black History tribute was extremely inspiring and to see our youth ministry come together to tell our story was touching. We all bonded as the program came together,” explained Cox.
Additional highlights from this year’s Black History Month Program included a performance of The Color Purple and a trumpet soloist by additional talented youth in our Youth Ministry. n
