USER CENTERED DESIGN
Design a product to alleviate women’s pregnant edema by offering massage. The product should emanate none or low radiation thus considered safe for pregnant women and the fetus. This specific product should be user friendly considering pregnant women’s changing body. Additionally, it would be more useful if the product has extra functions whic improves women’s pregnant experience. The product should retain its value after the pregnant period.

Recreate the hand/wrist section in a realistic rendition that is able to simulate various possible scenarios to train resident surgeons. It should be a sustainable simulation system that educates resident surgeons on key executions of distal radial fracture. The product should be affordable

A distal radius fracture is a common bone fracture of the radius in the forearm. Because of its proximity to the wrist joint, this injury is often called a wrist fracture. Treatment is usually with immobilization, although surgery is sometimes needed for complex fractures.

This project output has been approved by cooperative doctors and was considered of commercial value. Since the only simulation method on the market was extremely expensive and was disposible, which could only simulate limited types of DRF, this academic project has potentials to improve and explore.

TARGET Manage and sort mass data, arrange information in a well organized structure which afford better readability. Use programming method and image language to convert abstract information into direct, visual information. Include an interactive interface, the interface should be able to help users analysing and understanding information in certain ways.

DATA SOURCE Shanghai Jiao Tong University Internet and Information Center collect its on campus trading record in collabration with OMNILab. The information is confidential and will be published only for conpetition or academic purpose. These trading records include trasactions in canteen, bathroom, supermarkets, etc, which in a way reveals campus life.

Just like numerous stars floating in the galaxy, data is something incalculable. When combined in different structures, they convey different meanings, the same as mysteries galaxy. Therefore an idea of organizing these data in a way which is floating and galaxy-like formed. TRANSACTION

BRIEF OF INTERFACE It is an interactive system that process massive data and convey information in a simple form. 14 most active merchants are included and each is represented by a cube. Meanwhile, each blue or pink circle represents a male or a female. They are scattered around the area according to its transaction time and amount of money. In contrast to simply summing up numbers, this method of visual language preserves more original information, and gives your eyes more impact and direct message.

Comparing these two graphs, dots in the first graph are more scattered, which means people go to supermarkets at a more random time than to the canteen, which comply with common knowledge
These two graphs tells us that canteen 4 has larger flow of rates than canteen 6. Because canteen 4 lies near graduates dorms while canteen 6 lies near labs. We alse learned that males tends to spend more on meals than females.
Different from canteens or supermarkets, transactions in common bathrooms have a clear upper limit, because the bathing fee charges 2.00 at a time.
