The site located in the old city of Jinan. The surrounding urban area has already be developed in 2017. The east of the city is the HeBin park, The scenery here is beautiful and the environment is superb. This program is special and different from the traditional library. The use of the space need the readers to discover by themselves.

When it comes to books, libraries come naturally to mind.Large and medium-sized cities in China have their own libraries, most of which exude the sacredness of knowledge and the supremacy of authority.There is a kind of general pride behind them, imposing bullying people. In front of such a giant architecture, as ordinary people and ordinary readers, we also seem too small.These buildings are too formal, too serious for the personal, murmuring pleasure of reading, and the breathable, secure environment that bookworms crave is not available in a regular library.By chance, I walked into the classical gardens in the south, the private Spaces of ancient scholars.By speculating on the pleasure of sitting and walking in a garden, we enter into another kind of imagination.I began to conceive of a new reading environment.There, the feelings of a person in the midst of it are what I care about most, not the so-called knowledge and authority.I began to have a different library in mind.

I hope the library will be spacious and clean, and integrate with nature.

I hope I can find a comfortable corner in the future library, so that I can get into the world of books.

In my spare time, I hope to have a library, which is full of books and shelves.

Hopefully, there will be beams of light in the library, filling the whole space with a pleasant smell mixed with memory and imagination.

The government increase more public facilities. Gradually meet the needs of business and culture, more and more Public buildings appeared. They are all normal. Normal public buildings cant not meet the need of rapid increase in population. government increase more public facilities. Integrated communication spaces are needed.

With the urbanization development, the residents hope a more comfortable, cozy place to experience the excitement and joy of reading.

The gallary under the slope provides a flat and open space, an extension of the public realm.

The phototype of the gallary is a historical reference of the plaza before 1995, allowing spontaneous social life and club activities in campus.

The steps of trapezoids forms a grandstand towards the mountion, a naturel expressions of publilicity. The curves of the steps generates a gathering and focusing tendance of audience.

With every step I took on the stairs, new horizons opened up to me.

It's not just the layers on the ground that are explored in the library. It's a new experience to go to different heights in the same space, with light diffusing down the steps in an unusual way

It was huge, exactly the kind of library I wanted.The scene is real, but it seems to take place in the story.

Long narrow paths and different sizes of doorways lead people to curious places. There is a hole in the wall, and the hole covers the hole in the back, which seems to embed one world into another, and layers of depth of field are like a story's mystery.

As I looked around at the people reading or chatting, I was reminded of my school ‘s QingRenpo.

Only a corner was visible, but there was something larger hidden, and it was tempting to wonder: what was behind it?

the community in left-behind village

The transformation of the village left behind in the city, which is forgotten by local young people. In the villages which is in the city, young people go out for work and settle down in the big cities, leaving only the elderly, children and migrant workers. They live in a very poor environment, and their life is boring and tedious. This project focuses on solving the problems of life and entertainment of left-behind elderly and children and also can provide a warm home for the workers.

The site belongs to Jinan with a long history has weaked business system. Because of the lacking of commerical all over the site, life is very inconvenient. Most of the residents are children, elders and the teenagers who come from surrounding cities and try to make a living here. There are only two education institutions, the primary and kindergarten, The schools would be closed after it's operation time and there is no place for children to play. Moreover, the lack of retirement organization for the old people is a big trouble of the site.

There are a lots of problems of the site. I interview different groups of people and make a conculsion. The people in different age has different demand. The elders are lonely and can not associate with the society. The childern do not have the places to makes friends and do some activities. The teenagers can not find jobs and the lack of recreation annoies them. So I want to design a house serve for many generations .They can assist each others and live together like family.

The difference of the usage of the different aspects contribute to the difference of surplus of energy. The different generation house can take advantage of this circumstance to invoid the waste of energy and operate the circulation of energy better. In detail, the business, one the most important part of the different generation house, utilize the electricity more in the daylight, so the residence and entertainment which use the energy little in the daylight can delivery the enery they do not need to the business part in the daylight.

Haiyang have lots of industrial buildincs since 1960. Now the equipments in these buildings are unable to work anymore. Recently, this company develops rapidly and the director of this factory wants change this place into a commercial complex because of the construction of subway.This project aim to improve recreation for local people and appeal more visitors. The site is surrounded by the sea, but there is very little public space, and the whole place lacks green space and communication space. The project focuses on the creation of the internal environment of the building, propagandizing the local and surrounding culture, and bringing different experiences to tourists.

Entering the interior of the space, I set up a sense of ceremony, through the cambered wall to distinguish the reception area and the rest area, so that different Spaces have independence.

Through the changes of the platforms, a multi-layer retreat is formed, providing convenient public places for people. The connecting corridor links the six blocks and increases the connection between the them.

The structure of the building draws a minimalist and powerful line, presenting the cleanest and clearest state of nature. Against the blue of the sky, the senses are full of extreme enjoyment.

From a distance, the building was faintly visible through the trees, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city, like a hidden nest of white trees.

Layers of stairs show the state of trees growing upward, bringing a sense of order in the light and shadow.

In front of the building, the outdoor courtyard is presented in a circular state, as if embracing the whole nature and the guests, adding the first sense of ceremony to the space. the flow of life and time are hidden by the whole space.

White is not only a color but also a deep feeling. The infinity white materials and the blue sky form a dialogue with each other, forming a scene of the unity of water and sky, just like a spiritual lake in the space.

The vortex acts as a medium connecting the upstairs and downstairs, and the symbiosis of the space is further emphasized through the open volume allowing light to penetrate into the underground space.

the curved structure wraps the spaces, as if entering a forest. Floor-to-ceiling glass offers views of the landscape outside, blurring the boundary between the interior and the city.

What is happening now in this space, is unfinished, is full of contingency and uncertainty, people do not have a clear direction , but there are a variety of possibilities for them to try.

Sunlight shines through the vortex into the underground space, adding a layer of vibrant color to the space.

The choice of corridor orientation and platform adds environmental considerations, providing an excellent vantage point for observing the sunrise and sunset.

As far as the eye can see, the landscape is connected with the outside and inside, allowing the whole body and mind to be integrated into the beautiful sight.

The minimalist space structure creates a natural healing state of life, and beauty happens everywhere.

The multi-sided, multi-level, multi-angle and multi-directional space provides readers with different experiences, and the light from the entrance becomes the guidence.

The pure white world, let people relax the mind. They can feel the poetry of life in nature.

growing Residence

This project is a collective housing, located in Jinan, the World's First Spring City, which degelates the historical and cultural development of Jinan Spring Water. Starting from the elements of emotion and life, and combining the elements of communication, cultural transmission, economy, education and nature, it integrates the characteristics of houses and streets in the old urban area and puts them back to the site. The unique process of growing soja and making tofu with spring water are included in the project, so that the residence can return to nature, and the users can have a better understand with the history of the development of Quancheng and the unique characteristics of old Jinan .

The north of the site facing Daming Lake, which witnessed the development history of Ji'nan springs for thousands of years, and the site is facing Baihuazhou which is an important constituent of the Ji'nan spring's system. The old streets and alleys around the site also add a historical charm to the historical rings.

The problems in the site and the solutions

Through the investigation of different people's one-day activities, I found that many people have common activities but the site do not provide suitable venues for them to communicate. Streets and alleys have not been well utilized as important places to provide communication. With the development of the areas, streets and alleys have gradually decreased, so the characteristics of old Jinan's streets and alleys have been reorganized and put back.

The roof is used for planting. Planting brings people back to their original unrestrained pastoral life. Planting provides a unique space for people's activities. The roof provides sufficient light for planting, which is conducive to making full use of roof space. The abundant outdoor communication platform provides people with abundant space for activities such as experience, communication, rest, reading and so on. The whole building is multi-functional, multi-purpose and multi mission.

People can eat, chat and enjoy the scenery in the courtyard on the platform.

The kids can play in the exoteric space in the first floor with the structure which can help present a diverting scene.

People can get in touch with nature by planting soja in the roof. They can lay down in the plants or stand on the platform to appreciate it.

On the first floor, we use Baihuazhou and Daming Lake water system to introduce spring water into the site to provide irrigation water for planting. At the same time, we combine water system with structure to assist tofu processing and provide playgrounds for children. We put the tofu processing process on the first floor to facilitate water intake and reduce the impact on other spaces. Make the whole first floor be open and full of vigour and bring people back to nature. Soybean-growing and manual tofu workshops are conducive to bringing good economic benefits and forming local characteristics.
