mperceptibly, I have stepped on the road to
design. I was an audience outdoor 4 years ago but now I have become the actor who is on the stage. Although there were some struggling fragments during the process, design do had brought me a lot of happiness when my works were highly approved. In this collection, I have chosen some of my favorite works to express my attitude towards design. Parts of the works are partial to commercial design while others are purely the expression of personal ideas.

This is a book about embroidery stitch centering on the theme of HOME. I have searched for various stitches and displayed them by hand painting. In this design, I embroidered the pattern on paper in order to emphasize the sense of touch. This can be regarded as an experimental book. Its unduplicated characteristic is just in accordance with the peculiarity of handcraft, which is unique.
SOLUTION To be honest, it’s easy to solve the problem of heavy workload, which is to improve efficiency and cost time. Actually in the earlier stage of the paper embroidery, I have made some attempts to decrease the needle trace on paper by using some knacks.
CHALLENGE It is a great challenge to make this book, and the process of making it is also full of difficulties. Heavy workload is the most difficult point, for the book is
The method of thread stitching is used in the book binding. Color of the thread is based on the whole book’s hue. Distinct effect is demonstrated in the book by this design and readers will find unexpected surprise in the binding gap when browsing the book.
One of the highlights in the book is the fore-edge design, which uses serge stitching, a skill in embroidery.
Lots of step figures are displayed in the book, drawn by watercolor with needle pen.
The part of inserts use the method of silk-screen printing and embroidery.

THOUGHTS It’s my first time to make APP. It went quite smoothly thanks to our tutor’s guidance. The whole APP, which we only took 2 weeks from drawing at earlier stage to online running, was amazing and also made me cheerful.

OVERVIEW This is a group cooperation project about popularizing Pehchaolin( a domestic make up brand with a history of 80 years in China). The cartoon is the final presenting effect. I was in charge of the drawing in the last progress. Based on the previous research, we excavated Pehchaolin’s unique selling reason, which was emotion added value. The whole cartoon was embraced with two keywords of Nostalgia and Heritage.

SOLUTION
This is a packing design of cube sugar, which I adopt the style of illustration. Four watercolor paintings were hand sketched to create quite and comfortable atmosphere. The whole tint was gentle in order to deliver a feeling of leisurely enjoyment in the afternoon. I also designed a vivacious logo for this brand.
In this challenge, I made great attempts and read a mass of books to seek for inspiration. I had no choice but to continuously working, regardless of the result. I therefore made out scheme one after another, even if it was denied by my tutor. When recalling that times I am deeply impressed by my persistence. Maybe it is the stubborn spirit deep down in
