nils didier gomez Nils is offered in a range that easily accommodates all interior design requirements. Sofas, one-arm sofas, lounge seats, armchairs and footstools make all kinds of combinations possible: individual sofas, very large sofas created using 2 one-arm sofas, corner compositions, combinations of one-arm sofas and lounge seats, and more. The Nils sofa was named as a homage to Nils Holgersson, the small boy created in 1906 by the novelist Selma LagerlĂśf, who crossed the skies of Sweden on the back of a goose. Both the structure and cushions of this sofa are 100 % clad in goose feathers and down. Because of this, it has a particularly welcoming and pillowy appearance. The back, seat platform, and armrests all may be easily disassembled to facilitate delivery, house removal, or cleaning. The contours of this sofa at first may seem to be simple parallelograms but they have been intricately designed to be harmonious and balanced with generally low-lying lines. Their simplicity is counterbalanced by their soft appearance and the sophistication of their stitching. The blend of simple and edge-to-edge stitching on the structure gives Nils a ‘made-to-measure’ feel with laid-back elegance, almost like a pair of stonewashed jeans designed by one of the great fashion houses. The twin needle stitching on the back cushions adds a refined counterpoint.

uzumé éric jourdan Uzume [pronounced Ouzoumé] is the name of the Japanese deity of happiness and good humor represented in Japanese art as eternally smiling. This is undoubtedly the same kind of wellbeing created by this welcoming upholstered bed with its soft lines. This low bed, offered in 3 heights, features curves characteristic of Eric Jourdan’s style. It rests on the ground like a giant cushion, a real invitation to relax. The headboard and bed frame are entirely covered in foam, which is then covered in polyester quilting and a full inner cover. The final layer of material may be chosen from the vast number of possibilities offered within the collection. In any case the covers are fully removable for easy maintenance.

et cetera pagnon & pelhaître Etcetera, a vertically-constructed program, serves as a complement to the existing Book&Look and Mixte ranges. Etcetera is comprised of assemblies of side panels, shelves, back panels, and fronts. At the most fundamental level Etcetera is a range of shelving, but it is further enriched by the additional functions of an occasional unit: storage (opaque or glass doors, shelves, drawers), TV equipment, and lighting. The name Etcetera is suggestive of the program’s dimensional possibilities. It is always possible to tailor Etcetera perfectly to your particular space because of the ever-present option to add to its height or width. Etcetera’s elegance stems from rigorous aesthetic choices, as much in terms of its dimensions as its finishes.

amy dondoli & pocci The designers of the Amy armchair had an overwhelming desire to create a piece that would envelop the body completely. The soft, organic curves of this chair do just that. Because the chair is made from a one-piece molded shell, the designers were afforded the necessary freedom of form. This made it possible to fashion a nest of sorts whose seat is just as welcoming as its back. Scandinavian influences from the year 1956 are present in the design of this chair; however, while Arne Jacobsen’s Egg armchair is all taut lines, the Amy armchair makes the clear choice of soft, comfortable cushioning.

racines pagnon & pelhaître To celebrate 30 years of collaboration with Ligne Roset, Patrick Pagnon and Claude Pelhaître have designed a dining table with extremely sophisticated contours. The Racines table responds perfectly to most functional needs. Its already generous length can be extended thanks to its integral extension leaf. Its width can also be extended, making it the perfect choice for a cele¬bratory or festive meal. This stable table is rock solid whether in its opened or closed position. Its toughened glass top adapts well to everyday life and is easy to main¬tain, while its transparency allows the beautiful design of its base to shine through. Four Fifties-style tapering legs are linked by a central crosspiece with 2 junction-pieces to create this one of a kind base. The entire base is worked from natural or black-stained solid oak.

vik thibault desombre Vik’s design is very minimalistic with a 50s/60s feel. The softly rounded shape of the seat and back evoke feelings of comfort while the welcoming angle between the seat and back and the inviting thickness of the upholstered foam padding bring that to life in a more tangible sense. The Scandinavian-style modesty of the seat contrasts with the sophisticated architecture of the base supporting it. Four legs worked from solid ash lend the chair a graceful look while providing firm stability.Very light and easy to move around thanks to the optional handle. A glance at the back of the chair will show that the seat appears to be mounted delicately on a cradle formed by the summit of the two back legs. This small detail contributes enormously to the elegance of the Vik chair.

cuts philippe nigro Philippe Nigro expressed his love for repetition and variation on a basic shape with the creation of Cuts, a stackable system that plays with concepts of straight lines and angles. In 2013, he continues this idea of design by applying it once more to this occasional table. A flat surface is transformed by cuts that define 4 separate tops at varying heights. The irregular architecture of the resulting table contrasts beautifully with the fact that it is made of a material only 1/4’’ (8 mm) thick. This paired with its immaculate whiteness creates a more than attractive result. Each of its four sides offers a different profile but always an unspoken grace, like a paper plane.
