Base is steel with white epoxy powdercoat finish; on polypropylene glides. Removable and washable cover is a stretch, smocked black or white fabric designed by Tokujin Yoshioka.
The concept for Tokujin Yoshioka’s Paper Cloud was to use elements of nature and of human imagination to synthesize the texture and look of clouds. “In recent years, I have been fascinated by the elements of nature, because they ... have the beauty born of coincidence beyond human imagination. I have pondered expressing the texture of material in nature through industrial product.”
