Base is square tubular steel with graphite or oxidored powdercoat finish; glides are steel with chrome finish or brass. Covers are not removable. “Designing this chair involved creating shapes by folding graph paper. We made a comfortable reading

chair that was visually light, as if to defeat gravity.” As the chair took shape, so did the idea for a graphpatterned textile to reproduce the effect of the models. Kvadrat, the Danish textile company and global partner of Maharam, worked with the designers to produce a special jacquard to recreate the paper grid, together with the Moroso logo and 2010, the date of its introduction. Swarovski collaborated with the designers for a version with a glittering shadow-line of crystals to define the grid. The cerebral and mathmatical textile juxtaposed with the glamorous and sparkling crystals produces a chair of understated elegance.
