Sushi Edward van Vliet, 2008 Description Armchair and sofas, modular seating elements, an armless chair, a round ottoman in two sizes and a cushion and footstool. Upholstery is stress-resistant polyurethane foam in varied densities and polyester fiberfill on hardwood frame. Armless chair is injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam over internal steel frame. Joy cushion and footstool are injected flameretardant polyurethane foam. Back and seat cushions are polyurethane foam in varied densities and goose down. Feet are solid beech with dark grey finish. Covers are offered only in predetermined textiles.

The Sushi collection is inspired by the combination of textures and flavors in the popular Japanese cuisine. This sophisticated seating transposes the sensuality of taste to visual delight with its richly embroidered and woven textiles. Floral and organic tapestries as well as intricate embroideries – including the collection’s signature swimming carp – all combine to give each element a unique personality. Sushi is distinguished by these complementary upholstery fabrics, all developed specifically for the collection.
