We enjoy solving problems through design, producing inspiring products that are integrated into practical and stunning learning spaces. We believe that classrooms should be places where students want to learn and work places should inspire and motivate. This year sees the addition of a height adjustable collaborative desk so that all users can choose to stand and collaborate together. Each locker is accessed via an individual code lock (with a code chosen by the user with a master key overide) or a key. These compact locker modules are designed to sit on work surfaces and within shelving but can also be stacked.

Manufacture

Build quality is paramount. We use materials and manufacturing processes that ensure our furniture can withstand the inevitable knocks and scuffs, while retaining its good looks. Welding, rather than crush-bending, is robust and looks better. Alloy inserts make joins ultra-strong and compact laminate tops are a solid piece so the edges won’t peel off your tables. It’s this attention to detail that makes all the difference.

Delivery

When do you want it delivered? And where is it going? Is there a lift? And can we just check that you definitely want this colour, on glides, not castors? We want your order, your delivery and your installation to be right first time. That’s where our sales support and scheduling teams come in. They will calmly guide you through the process (and make sure you don’t order Reception-size chairs for enormous Year 11s).

As a group we have stringent targets to reduce our emissions and mileage as well as our paper consumption. We segregate all our manufacturing waste for recycling and we comply with the WEEE directive, battery directive, RoHS and Packaging waste regulations and directives.

Assembly

Our installation team are all fully trained zioxi employees. We don’t rely on third parties to deliver our furniture (unless it’s a single item and you’ll know exactly what to do with it) and we don’t just leave it in reception for you to deal with. We unload, unpack, install, make sure everything’s working, show you how to use it, clear away the packaging, sweep up and – once we’ve seen the smiles and you’re happy – only then do we leave.

Our furniture doesn’t simply roll off the end of a machine. It’s a fundamental part of zioxi quality that our unique designs are assembled by our highly skilled production team. They use quality components to create products that are a cut above in terms of quality.

Case Study

University College London

The refurbished library has 105 study spaces. These can either be computer spaces, or, they convert with a touch of a button to study spaces without a computer. zioxi were thrilled to work with UCL on a project to supply study space furniture to increase the number of fixed computer positions throughout the University. The aim of the project was to add 600 student positions across 12 sites in London to increase the number of fixed computers for students access. The furniture installed was a combination of solutions. Some areas had steel framed bench desks with adjustable monitor arms for all in one PCâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s. A space efficient way to maximise the number of students to be accommodated

in a work space whilst providing ample room for each student. UCL were keen to make as many desks as possible multipurpose so students could bring their own devices as well as using the IT provided so zioxi designed desks with integrated computers that rise and lower at the press of a button with Power and USB access on top to allow the students to plug in laptops/phones. Each space had a height adjustable desk to ensure DDA compliance. In the library zioxi designed a bespoke reception and installed an acoustic meeting pod for quiet meetings and study.

Arnot St Mary

zioxi worked with Arnot St Mary Primary School to create a large open plan Discovery Hub divided into several zones.

the area open and the LRC was furnished with zioxi t41 desks with powerHubs, a BookHive and Park seating.

The brief was to furnish a new large open plan learning space providing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.

Two separate classrooms were also furnished, one with zioxi t41 and Lunar tables. With the ability to be easily moved t41s are ideal for smaller group or individual work. The second room was fitted with zioxi T chairs and s41 soft seating and the area was divided by a small BookWorm with additional soft seating for a more informal approach to learning.

The open plan design was broken up into three main zones for IT, flexible learning and a mezzanine space. zioxi designed the IT zone with desks integrated with cable management for the iMacs, a TeacherWall® for lessons and resource storage and magnetic glassboards for collaborative brainstorming. A BookWorm divided the IT suite and LRC whilst keeping

The mezzanine floor area included s41 Hex, Hug and Boo seating. The colours throughout the whole space are bright, bold and inspiring.

Parkstone Grammar School

Parkstone Grammar School asked zioxi to create an incredible sixth form resource area and media centre and a bright and modern study and relaxation space for their sixth form students”

atmosphere and create zones for socialising and downtime. As the room is used by 300 students daily for private study and relaxing, the kitchen area was fitted with poseur tables with seating to outside views.

The space needed to be multifunctional and flexible, allowing for a range of ways of studying and the area needed to feel formal and grown up and be broken up into zones. To make best use of the space zioxi t41 desks with wired powerHubs were added to the room as part of the study area, with coloured glass boards for collaborative work. Plenty of soft seating was included to create a relaxed

The media centre brief required a space where students would spend long hours so the furniture needed to be comfortable and it was also used as by the cinema club so all the furniture had to be flexible, whilst also secure for the iMacs. zioxi introduced P8 powerUp tables so all the desks could be transformed from worksurfaces to IT desks in an instant which were perfect for the space.

Seymour Park Community Primary School

zioxi worked with Seymour Park Community Primary School in Manchester to create a brand new state-of-the-art IT suite. The brief was to completely revamp a large IT room drawing inspiration from innovative tech spaces such as Google. The new space houses 30 computers, acoustic Teacher’s pod, flexible classroom area and a Reading/ iPad hideaway. zioxi designed the IT zone with P1 desks where monitors go up & down at the touch of a button or remotely by using onView. The flexible zone combines easy to reconfigure soft seating and hubTables with powerDomes so the students can plug in their

devices, a TeacherWall where there’s space for display screen, storage & laptop charging bays, and a CubeWall with a reading & recording hideaway designed to provide a quiet place to learn for students that are easily distracted. An acoustic pod provides teachers with a quiet place to mark work or hold meetings whilst doubling up as a quiet space for children to record podcasts for digital projects. The colour scheme in the whole space is bright, bold and inspiring. It was a real pleasure working with Seymour Park on this project and they are very pleased with their fabulous new learning space!

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

zioxi M1 collaborative desks were the chosen solution for the schoolâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Active Learning Lab.

Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine were looking for integrated technology furniture for their new Active Learning Lab. Active learning encourages deeper thought, analysis and collaboration in order to strengthen learning and requires furniture that facilitates this. zioxi integrated M1 collaborative desks were the chosen solution. Seven M1 desks were positioned around the room in a circular configuration each accommodating eight students. Dual screens were installed at the end of the desks allowing the students to collaborate together by sharing images from their screen with the other

students at their own collaborative desk or around the training room. The space needed to be multipurpose with computers provided for student use. These computers also needed to be hidden away when necessary to allow for laptop use within the space. The M1 mechanism is the perfect way to do this. Simply press to reveal the monitor, mouse and keyboard, which all rise out of the desk ready for a learning session. Different colours were used to differentiate each bank of desks and comfortable chairs were added to finish off the space.
