1. Select a suitable place to install the ZIP Bait Tunnel, away from possible puddles or flood zones. Clear vegetation at either end to maximise the chance that target animals will enter the tunnel.

2. Secure one of the tunnel sections to the ground, forming the base of the tunnel. Use the two 200mm TEK screws. You can use any two of the four holes shown here.

Note: Tunnel sections are identical.

3. Place the bait cup into the centre of the lower tunnel section. In the right position the bait cup will sit above the base of the tunnel, meaning that the bait will remain dry if water enters the tunnel.

4. Prepare the second tunnel section, which will form the ‘lid’ of the tunnel. Place the O-ring in the central recess, as pictured. This will help to maintain a waterproof seal.

5

5. Remove the cover from the MotoLure chassis by loosening the wingnut all the way, lifting the cover slightly and sliding it away from the wingnut end.

6. Place the MotoLure base onto the tunnel lid. Line up the screw heads on the MotoLure with the depressions in the tunnel. The Do Not Touch signage will still be visible.

7. While maintaining pressure, to ensure the O-ring stays in place, flip the tunnel and place onto a flat surface.

8. Attach the chassis to the lid using the four 25mm TEK screws with neoprene washers.

The screws go into the chassis from within the tunnel lid. Ensure that the O-ring remains in the recess. This an important but fiddly step.

7

9A. Remove the red bung from the MotoLure syringe.

9B. Turn the tunnel over so that the MotoLure is facing upwards. Place the syringe inside the chassis by inserting the nozzle into the outlet then pushing the top of the syringe down to fit snugly. You may need to unwind the motor rod by hand, if it is in the way.

10. Engage the lure by winding the rod by hand (or with a drill attachment) until the mayonnaise has begun to dispense. Place the tunnel lid (do not attach yet) on top of the tunnel base.

11. Check that the MotoLure is dispensing mayonnaise into the bait cup by lifting the tunnel lid to see inside. Continue winding the rod until mayonnaise appears in the bait cup.

9

12. Place the motor into position, ensuring the label is facing upwards. Lift the locking mechanism on the motor driver, connect the motor driver to the connector and rotating the motor bolt if required. Push the locking mechanism down so that it clicks.

13. Turn the motor on, by placing a magnet against the top left corner of the unit. You will hear the motor whir. This will dispense mayonnaise into the bait cup.

14. Attach the tunnel lid to the tunnel base by inserting the 50mm TEK screws with neoprene washers in the four corners and two centre holes, as pictured.

15. Put the chassis lid onto the MotoLure and tighten the wingnut by hand.
