A Letter From Us

If you're choosing to read this, know you are loved and greatly appreciated. With a pandemic and collective outrage gripping the world, it often is hard to feel happy and remain hopeful. Though these times of darkness and sorrow feel as though they are eternally lurking, they have made us more grateful for every day we get to spend with the people we love.

We, the Zipped community, choose to find light in other aspects of our lives and further channel our energy into our passions. Unlike any previous magazine we have released, this time we have chosen to focus on unity: get rid of the hierarchy and most importantly give voice to those who deserve it. We recognize our privilege and platform and are constantly seeking to bring you raw, unfiltered, and genuine content.

Our magazine is split-up into three overarching sections: isolation, identity, and creation. All are aspects that stemmed out of our current reality, representing our progress since the pandemic first hit. These themes will be highlighted by personal essays alongside original artwork and relevant articles.

Nothing is normal right now (neither are we) but we hope that these twenty-eight pages make you realize you are not alone. Times right now are shit. But it will eventually come to an end.

Sending virtual hugs always,

The Zipped Team
