This intensive studio will engage in the design and construction of a exible multimedia exhibition system for The Exchange G a l l e r y i n V i c to r i a H a r b o u r , D o c k l a n d s Melbourne. The project will involve the design of a d i s p l a y s y s t e m t h a t i n t e g r a t e s fo r m , structure, surface, light, projection and s o u n d to c r e a t e t r a n s fo r m a t i v e s p a t i a l conditions. The completed apparatus (constructed using digital fabrication techniques) will need to be adaptable for an ever- changing program of events that will take place in the venue over the next year. The proposals will encompass ideas for a video interview booth, an exhibition display system and an audio visual/projection structure. The project needs to strive to be carbon neutral in its construction. This will involve the careful choice of sustainable materials and a design for disassembly approach to its conception.

The Knowledge Market is an initiative of Victoria Harbour, Melbourne's waterfront residential development on the CBD's doorstep. A t h r i v i n g h u b o f p e e r - to - p e e r n e t wo r k i n g a n d l o c a l c r e a t i v i t y, t h e K n ow l e d g e Market hasan ever-changing rotation of activities that anyone can get involved with. Currently the Knowledge Market is hosted by The Exchange, a year long project exploring ideas around community living in urban environments through workshops, exhibitions, forums and community events currated by RMIT University.
