CHELTENHAM MARKET
Traditionally rearing both Rainbow and Brown trout in tanks and ponds on the farm for over thirty years, Donnington provides Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds with some of its finest tasting local trout produce. The trout are reared in crystal clear water from the headwaters of the River Dickler, located right on the farm, which provide the trout with their exclusive fresh clean natural flavour not normally associated with river farmed trout, and are entirely free from pollution and non-GM sources. Bred and grown on the family run farm, a longestablished stone farm building surrounding the beautiful Cotswold Hills, the trout are traditionally smoked and freshly prepared to order, ensuring the freshness of the fish is kept to a high standard and that food miles are kept to a minimum. With a farm shop on site, visitors are welcome to look round the tanks and ponds and watch the process of your order taking place, guaranteeing you the essential knowledge of exactly where your fish has come from. Donnington conceits with the optimum selection of trout products, from up to 8 pound large whole trout, fresh trout fillets, smoke roasted whole trout and fillets, smoked paté and cold smoked trout, all of which are available fresh from the shop and the market. The market provides a great platform to sample some of Donnington’s delicious trout from the heart of Gloucestershire for a fraction of the cost, and will inspire you to try something you’ve never thought of trying before. You’ll find Donnington Trout Farm at Upper Swell, Stow-On-The-Wold, Gloucestershire or at Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford, Cheltenham, Bourton-On-The-Water and Stroud farmers markets each week.
