Welcome to the first edition of the Husk Digital Magazine. We all know how scary it is to go off to uni and take responsibility for ourselves. So, this first edition is a self help guide into the sorts of products you will need during your living experience! We’ve added a couple extra bits inside which you might find helpful.

Firstly start by cutting your fabric to the size you want you’re cushion mine above is 18 , if you have a print on the fabric place them back to back. Make sure one side is at least 10-15cm longer as this will be your cover to holding the cushion insert in place.
At the opening on the shorter side, at the top, fold neatly and straight stitch across as shown above. You will now still have one longer section of fabric, flap this over the top of the other side and straight stitch over this only down the sides.
Then pin down the sides with a 1.5cm seam allowance as shown. Now straight stitch along both sides and the bottom leaving the top of the cushion open.
Turn the cushion cover inside out and you will see how the cushions opening section works. Place your cushion insert inside for your finish product.
