Infusion Bays
In nature, mangroves protect the shoreline from damaging storms and winds. Mangroves prevent erosion by stabilizing the sand in its tangled root system while maintaining water quality by filtering out pollutants. Similar to the plant itself, The Mangrove aims to be the root system that leads patients to health and recovery.

The NEXT office was inspired by the movement and harmony of both the natural and urban environment. The office flows from organic, to more rectilinear urbanlike structures. To truly understand these relationships, inspiration was drawn from art, utopian city plans, and films such as James Cameron’s Avatar. Goals: Create office space that provides multiple postures and levels of privacy Project Type: Programming, Sense of Place, Corporate Design

Palmita Palmita was inspired from the leaves of a coconut palm tree. The form was abstracted into a semi-circular wall sconce while maintaining a relaxing and tropical feel. Warm light glows and filters through the leaves making Palmita the perfect mood lighting that simulates a calming Caribbean getaway. Basswood pieces were laser cut to fit together without the need for nails or screws. Even the digitally printed piece slides easily in and out of place when needed. Palmita meets the balance of new and
familiar.
Goals: Create and detail a unique luminere. Project Type: Fabrication, Custom Detailing

Studies Interior design is unique in its balance of the conceptual and the functional. Prior to focusing on “literal spaces, I took several semesters of architecture studios to learn about space in an abstract way. I did many types of spatial studies; some studied existing architecture by wellknown architects and others were studies of my own work. The medium of these studies ranged from models to diagrams to drawings.
Spatial Study, 2017
Landscape Palimscest Study, 2017
Alvar Aalto House Study, 2017
Spatial Model Study, 2018
Artwork One of the reasons I first became interested in interior design was my love of art and creating. I studied art for four years in high school and fell in love with the process of research, conceptualizing, and finally creating. Island of Dreams, 2016
I have had the great fortune of recieving recognition of some of my work. In 2014 my drawing Feline Great won awards at the national level. The work was showcased a local art festival and printed in the art competition’s yearly magazine. Another piece, Music in Motion, won first prize in a local art competition. The artwork was bought by the festival committee to use on all of their promotional items including flyers and t-shirts. The local newspaper published my work as well as a photo of me and a short interview. This moment was one I will never forget.

ABOUT ME
I was born in Puerto Rico, but spent my whole life in Central Florida. Being the oldest of 3 daughters I learned that patience, hard work, and good instincts can help you in almost any situation. I love to create and find beauty from the world around me. My passion was fostered early on as a means for my mother to calm her hyperactive daughter through arts and crafts. Through my high school art classes, my hobby turned into skills I still use at the University of Florida. I consider myself lucky to able to do what I love, and look forward to what the future has for me.
