WEEKLY TECHNICAL REPORT 31 OCT TO 4 NOV 16
NIFTY 50 8638.00 (-55.05) (-0.64%) This week markets open with a positive note. Nifty traded between 8690 and 8748 even as sharp buying was seen at 1 pm. Nifty managed to close above its crucial psychological of 8700. The Nifty closed with a gain of 16 points at 8709. On Tuesday, The Indian equity market has opened in red due to Global cues are weak as seen during overnight selling in US Index S&P, which fell by 17 points from the high of 2149. The Nifty closed with a loss of 18 points at 8691. The Nifty opened at 8722 hitting a high of 8723 and low of 8663. On Wednesday, the Nifty saw of profit booking where it tested the support of 8600 before closing at 8615. The last day of the October F&O expiry. And the Nifty closed with a loss of 76 points at 8615. On Thursday, the nifty closed at 8615 in the October series. which was the same price at which the series started. The new series has some major events like the FOMC meet in the first week of November and US presidential elections on November 8. These events are expected to bring in volatility in all global markets including India. On Friday, the last Trading day of the week; the nifty manages the support level of 8600. And the support for Nifty stands at 8575-8600 and the resistance stands at 8650. The narrow band might continue as the Diwali holidays and festive mood might lead to lower volumes. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 8709.85, made a high of 8736.95 low of 8550.25 and closed the week at 8638.00. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a losing of -55.05 points or -0.64%.
