WEEKLY TECHNICAL REPORT 2 JAN TO 6 JAN 17
NIFTY 50 8185.80 (200.05) (2.50%) The Nifty index started trading for the week on a negative note. Nifty trader their month lows in intra-day trade even though Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley tried to calm frayed nerves. "PM Mr. Narendra Modi’s statement that those who make money from the markets are not paying their fair share in taxes made investors nervous". The nifty made a low of 7894 after breaching the important level of 7900. The markets in the December series saw heavy selling by FII's in the cash and F&O segment. On Tuesday, The Nifty takes a support at 7900 and sharp buying in the last hour of trading. market notched up its biggest single-session rally in about three weeks. On Wednesday, showed profit booking after touching 8100 and closed at 8034 a day before expiry and the Nifty closed with a marginal gain of two points at 8035. On Thursday, In Market, huge volatility we saw due to expiry of December series derivative contracts. The data for the Jan series shows that short positions have been squared off. On Friday, The Nifty January Series is starting on a positive note. opened gap up by 16 points at 8119.65 and continued its rally by adding more 77 points taking it in the day high of 8197. The Nifty managed to close above the critical level of 8150. Nifty has ended the year 2016 with a positive note by closing 3.01% or 239.45 points above last year close from 7946.35 to 8185.80. We had recommended on last week research report (see our weekly report 26 Dec 30 Dec 16) [we advised to Nifty future If Nifty future trade above 8050 then the target will be 8150-8250. OUR TARGET ACHIEVED ON FRIDAY 30 DEC 2016 NIFTY MADE HIGH AT 8207]. The Nifty50 (spot) opened the week at 7965.10, made a high of 8197.00 low of 7893.80 and closed the week at 8185.80. Thus the Nifty closed the week with a gaining of 200.05 points or 2.50%.

The 5 days EMA are placed at 8092.15
