Where we’ve come from and where we’re going Wow, what a couple of years it’s been!! The growth of Zone3 has been phenomenal and we’re committed to make sure this continues. From our humble beginnings at Loughborough University, Zone3 has grown to become the number one triathlon brand in the UK and one of the fastest growing in Europe. Specialist Suits Align The Align has been designed based on feedback from a minority of swimmers wanting a neutral wetsuit with minimal buoyancy and no additional performance features such as catch panels. The panel design is based on our award winning Aspire wetsuit with a one piece chest panel made from Yamamoto #40 SCS Nano to allow for maximum flexibility. The suit has a reduced thickness on the body, side and lower leg panels as can be seen in the drawing below.

Children’s Adventure The Children’s wetsuit has been designed based on the increased demand for a quality, performance wetsuit in the smaller sizes. The suit is a mixture of 2mm, 3mm and 4mm neoprene thicknesses, with a panel design based on our Advance model. Zone3 has been known as the ‘hip’ brand by the youth and junior athletes for the last few years, so we hope that this suit will further cement that and ensure they continue to stick with Zone3 as they grow up. Swim Skins TheZone3 swim skin has been developed due to a number of requests from Ironman athletes who are looking for that extra core support and reduced drag during non-wetsuit swims. Made from X2R, a revolutionary woven fabric made in France. It is one of the lightest and most compressive fabrics available and is extremely hydrophobic with only a 5% water absorption rate. Evolution The new Zone3 Evolution wetsuit is designed for those athletes taking part in swim/run events where the user needs to be able to both swim and run in their wetsuit. A unique suit designed in collaboration with the Swedish winners of OTILLO. The suit is built for speed, endurance, comfort and functionality. The suit also comes with 8mm neoprene calf guards. Neoprene accessory range Buoyancy Shorts were first developed by Zone3 back in 2007 and although the concept has been emulated by other brands, Zone3 are the original inventors and have eight years of fantastic customer reviews behind them. They are designed to give an alternative to a pull buoy , give a more natural feeling of buoyancy and still allow the swimmer to kick. Having helped thousands of swimmers improve their technique the new range of buoyancy shorts will give swimmers more options as well as improved comfort and updated graphics. A new pattern helps give an improved fit and we have added a new soft and flexible high stretch waistband for additional comfort whilst also enabling the drawstring cord to be tightened with more effect. The shorts are available from 1st January 2016 and in three styles:

The Originals: 5/3mm

They are made from top quality Yamamoto Smoothskin neoprene and are stitched and bonded the same way as a triathlon wetsuit. Designed using 3mm neoprene down the centre and 5mm neoprene down the sides, these shorts offer core body buoyancy and help to promote hip rotation through the stroke.

The Premium Option: 5/3mm

The Premium version is made from a combination of Yamamoto #39 SCS on the front and back panels and Yamamoto SCS Aerodome on the side panels. This gives a softer, lighter and more flexible fit along with more buoyancy and hip rotation for the particularly heavy legged swimmers looking to refine their technique.

The Next Step: 3/2mm

The 3/2mm option is made from the same material as the Originals but aimed at those looking to progress their swimming to the next level and want to continue to develop their technique and efficiency but with a reduction in core support. The original 5/3mm buoyancy shorts were designed to allow swimmers to see the improvement in their body position and technique after training. The 3/2mm are the perfect stepping stone between the 5/3mm and no buoyancy support for anyone who found the 5/3mm version too buoyant. The thinner material is also more subtle to wear poolside.

Neoprene Warmth Vest This vest is designed to be either worn underneath a wetsuit during cold water conditions or can be worn instead of a wetsuit in warmer water. The vest is made from 2mm thick neoprene and is designed for comfort and flexibility against the skin. It features a high neck for comfort and additional warmth.

Neoprene Swim Cap The ultimate thermal protection for open water swimming. The Zone3 Neoprene Skull Cap provides warmth whilst maintaining good hydrodynamics through the water. It has a Velcro strap which joins under the chin so optimum fit is ensured.

Neoprene Strapless Swim Cap Although our standard neoprene cap has been engineered to be as comfortable as possible we understand some of you just donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t get on with a strap under your chin. For 2016 we wanted to take this to the next level, designing and producing a cap which manages to stay on the head with no strap at all. This has been done very carefully to ensure the size and fit of the cap is perfect.

Swim Sock An essential product to keep the feet warm whilst swimming in cold water. We found all of the other socks we tested werenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t long or tight enough and soon started to slip off the feet whilst swimming. The Zone3 socks are therefore designed to be tight fitting to ensure minimal water entry and help maintain a strong leg-kick. They are also long enough to be tucked into a wetsuit and have a Velcro strap to ensure they stay in place. The sole is made from a durable and gripping fabric to help with protection and control when walking to or from the water; whether by the sea, lake or river.

Neoprene accessory range continued... Neoprene Heat-Tech Bootie Sock Made with a fleeced lining for improved warmth, these booties are slightly thicker than our standard socks and also feature a zip on the side to enable the foot to go in with ease and allow a tighter fit. They also have a Velcro strap to help minimise water entry and a gripped sole.

Glove The primary function of the Zone3 open water swimming gloves is to keep your hands insulated from the cold. They are again designed to be long enough to fit underneath a wetsuit and also feature a Velcro strap to hold them in place. There is no webbing between the fingers to improve the feel in the water and there is also a silicone print on the palm for grip.

Neoprene Heat-Tech Gloves The new heat-tech gloves are thicker and have a fleeced lining for improved warmth. The gloves are constructed using a glue & stitch bonding to help prevent water entry and also have a Velcro strap and longer lycra sleeve to enable a secure fit.

Neoprene Timing Chip strap A race day essential with a focus on comfort to enable a secure and non-rubbing fit.

Zone3 100% Natural Glide Made in Canada with 100% natural ingredients, this glide is about to shake up the market by providing maximum protection against chafing. Developed in collaboration with experienced runners, cyclist and swimmers, the easy-to-use balm helps to prevent chafing and relieves irritation, inflammation and skin problems caused by friction such as blisters, skin burns and dehydration. Once applied, the ingredients penetrate the skin and create an efficient, comfortable and transparent protection against chafing. It is resistant to perspiration and water to offer maximum comfort to the user. The balm will not clog skin pores and naturally wicks perspiration to regulate your body temperature. Construction: The suits use either an innovative glue-bonded seam structure or flat-lock over stitching designed for maximum strength and comfort.

Lava Range Thanks to the massive success of our Lava collection over the last two years we are pleased to be able to put further research and development into extending the range and making the suits better than ever. We’ve significantly upgraded the fabric to an optical white woven fabric from France. This is still the market leading fabric used in the highest end tri suits and consequently used by a very high proportion of pro athletes. This fabric has been used on the upper body for maximum breathability, temperature control and freedom of movement whilst the lower body is made from a supportive compression fabric with a Coolblack coating to help keep the body cooler during prolonged exposure in the sun. Top & Shorts These garments have been made specifically for longer distance races such as Ironman. The Shorts feature the softest and most comfortable fabric possible, graduated compression, long distance pad and 360 waist band. Men’s Trisuits After the Lava Top & Shorts received the Editors Choice award and 92% rating back in 2013, Zone3 have had a lot of requests from customers to also develop the full suit. The suit uses all of the same features which make the Lava collection so highly rated. It is made from an ultra lightweight and breathable French fabric which is one of the softest and most comfortable fabrics available on the market. The suit also features graduated compression, a Teflon coating and long distance specific Italian tri pad. The suit offers overall comfort whilst combining it with performance during all three disciplines.

Men’s Speed Top The new Lava speed top is aimed at both Triathletes and cyclists alike. The top is made from a single piece of fabric with 3/4 length arms to help keep you cool and protect you from the sun in those warmer weather conditions, whilst also helping to keep warm during the cooler months. Zone3’s Vanquish is their second in command wetsuit but with a £425 price tag should be considered top-end. The first thing we noticed was just how flexible this suit is around the shoulders and arms. In the water this allows for great freedom of movement and helps with a fast turnover that’s linked to faster swim times. Also this helps to reduce fatigue, especially over long distances. This is achieved by using a single 1.5mm Yamamoto 40 SCS neoprene panel that runs from the left forearm, up the arm, across the upper chest and shoulders, and down the right arm. Each forearm has what Zone3 call their Sensory Catch Panel. This is essentially a water repellent Lycra panel that replaces the neoprene and helps to provide a good feel for the water. The chest area of the Vanquish uses a 3mm neoprene panel that helps with flexibility and allows the chest to expand. To increase buoyancy Zone 3 has sandwiched a ‘T’ shaped 5mm panel within this chest region. This is also designed to act as a roll bar to help with torso rotation. We didn’t notice this making a marked difference but it certainly had no negative impact.

We’Ve alWaYs been impressed by the performance of Zone3’s wetsuits, especially given their price. The Advance is the cheapest Zone3 model and, once again, its performance doesn’t give a hint that it’s below the £200 mark. The simple, smooth design was a real pleasure to swim in, with high-stretch, 2mm shoulder panels and just the right amount of buoyancy round the torso and hips. The neck is low and comfortable, though it was a tough suit to zip up – if anything fit is a bit small, as our tester should have been at the small end of the demo suit’s size range. The cuffs are snug and don’t let water in and, as with all Zone3 suits, the Pro-Speed Cuffs on the lower legs made it an absolute cinch to get off in a hurry. A great value suit. Bag this great suit if you’re on a budget – you’ll find no reason to upgrade for a while… Performance Value oVerall
