design: 1) Cu sulfate only (S) : 12 mg Cu provided by CuSO4 per kg concentrate;

2) Cu sulfate and (HMTBA)2-Cu (SM): 6 mg Cu provided by CuSO4 , and another

6mg Cu provided by (HMTBA)2-Cu per kg concentrate, or 3) (HMTBA)2-Cu only

(M); 12 mg Cu provided by (HMTBA)2-

Cu per kg concentrate. The level of diet Cu was determined according to NRC

120 d, and data collection began on d 20. The results showed that the average SM tented to increase compared with

those in the S and M. Cows fed SM also tended to show higher NDF and ADF

apparent digestibility than cows fed S or M. The plasma Cu significantly increased for SM compared to S and M. Cows fed S

had higher plasma K than the other two treatments. It can be concluded from this

study that replacing half of the Cu sulfate

with (HMTBA)2-Cu will increase plasma

Cu, and tended to improve NDF apparent digestibility and lactation performance.

Abstract

Increasing consumer

knowledge of the link between diet and

health has raised the

awareness

and demand for functional food

ingredients. Meat and its derivatives may be considered functional foods to

the extent that they contain numerous compounds thought to be functional. This review will attempt to outline the excellent

nutritional and dietetic properties of rabbit meat and offer an overview of the studies performed on the strategies

adopted to improve the functional value of rabbit meat. Dietary manipulation

has been seen to be very effective in increasing the levels of essential FA, EPA,

DHA, CLA, branched chain FA, vitamin

E, and selenium in rabbit meat. Dietary

fortification with vitamin E or natural products such as oregano essential oil,

chia seed oil, and Spirulina platensis microalga seem promising in improving

the oxidative stability of rabbit meat while also adding functional ingredients.

Finland blue fox (Alopex lagopus) has great reputation in pelt industry around the world for its large size and top-ranking fur quality; however, both the herd size and the average survival rate of purebred offspring are rather low in production systems in China. Surgical transfer of blue fox embryos was investigated as a means to increase the population fox and also as a possible means to conserve endangered canine species. The animals were chosen on the basis of synchrony in natural oestrus. During the reproductive season of blue fox, 59 embryos were flushed from 6 farmed donors 9-11 days after the first insemination, and 53 embryos were transferred surgically into the uteri of the 6 paired recipients with natural synchronized oestrous. Two of the recipients littered 4649 days after embryo transfer; one gave birth to 7 pups and the other 1 pup. This report describes the first successful embryo transfer in the farmed blue fox in China.

triggering nationwide concern about food safety.

Bi Meijia, the chief economic engineer as well as the spokesman for the Ministry of

Agriculture (MOA), told a press conference Tuesday that relevant poultry raisers and

processors have been shut down and are under close investigation.

The MOA attaches great importance to the case. It has dispatched a group of experts

Bi Meijia, chief economist and MOA spokesman said at a press conference that

the country's imports of wheat, corn and rice in the January-October period was up by 9.29 tons year-on-year.

The figure stood at 3.57 million tons for the whole of 2011.

Bi said that the surge was partly

China's grain output rose 3.2 percent year on year in 2012 to hit 589.57 million year of growth, according to National Bureau of Statistics data.

Bi said China will likely encounter limited room for further increase if only by expanding its planting area. The country

has to rely on technology to enhance the yield level for each unit of land.

China will continue to develop agricultural

By doing so, China can guarantee its grain security and "hold the rice bowl firmly in our hands" Bi added.

Through 20 years hardship, from a single product to the safe and controllable complete industrial chain, from a small feed factory to the leading

enterprise in the industry, from lowly added value production to the high-tech products benefiting

the society, TQLS Group always explores steadily and firmly and forms a new mode——integrated industrial chain “leading the national livestock development direction” .

As is known to all, TQLS Group is the largest egg enterprise in China, the largest duck raising In 1992, the foundation of TQLS

6000 employees and annual sales revenue of nearly 50 million through

20 years arduous pioneering, whose

remarkable achievements shock people.

“Technical innovation is not only the key to explore and expand but

also the fundament of existence and

development in TQLS Group. I always believe that innovation can create

value. ” In Chairman Lei wenyong’ view, the sword of TQLS Group is

to strive to explore and innovate to

make the livestock industry revitalize in Sichuan and exploit a brand-new field based on technology.

20 years arduous pioneering makes traditional industry revitalize

producing feed mainly did not attract much attention. At that time, there

in Sichuan and the modern factories of two giants in the industry were

some hundred meters from the small TQLS workshop. There were

only 35,000 RMB start-up capital (28,000 for a small truck, 7,000 for a

telephone and 250 for 10 beds) and 6 men (2 drivers, 2 girls, 1 youngster and the founder Lei wenyong; others were all laymen except Lei wenyong). 20 years rubs a sword. In retrospect,

TQLS Group changes dramatically——

TQLS Group has vaulted into National

Key Leading Enterprise in Agriculture

Industrialization from 35,000 RMB start-up capital and 6 men. Nowadays, TQLS Group has become

a large high-tech private enterprise with 51 subsidiaries throughout the

integrating the “guarantee company, bank, cooperatives and farmers” resources.

“Brand + standard + scale” operation

mode realizes the safe, quality and

efficient production; “new industrial

villages + industrial villagers + industrial key leader” development pattern benefits the government, enterprise and farmers…

TQLS pace has moved towards the whole

country with the integrated industrial chain mode. At present, TQLS Group has set up 20 industrial parks in Sichuan,

Jiangxi, Hubei and Anhui and formed great development momentum on the chicken, duck and swine industrial chain.

Innovation drive Gives TQLS the wings to fly

cover each key point involving with breed, feed,

A real pioneer has not only the heroic

technology in the complete industrial chain. This

persistence which never stops until the

farming, and disease prevention and so on, which

realizes the self-sufficiency from raw materials to is the difference of TQLS Group.

President Feng guangde explained that the health and safety of livestock and poultry farming

were not only related to the feed usage but also the breed, housing environment and many other factors. TQLS Group can provide green,

healthy and safe products all the time due to the realization of safety production monitoring on the complete industrial chain concerning with breed, feed, farming, disease prevention and sales

together with the technical innovation based on the biotechnological research of the Technical Centre.

In the chicken industrial chain, TQLS Group created

the complete industrial chain mode “breed chicks

+ feed production + laying hens farming + egg products sales”; in the duck industrial chain, the “5 rings” mode (breed ducklings + feed production

spirit which dares to make sun and

moon shine in the new sky, but also the goal is reached. TQLS Group is just the demonstration.

In Lei wenyong’s opinion, this proud

and confidence derive from continuous innovation practice of TQLS Group.

There were only three departments after the foundation of the enterprise, one of

which was the Technical Centre. Chairman Lei wenyong put forward the development

thought of “prospering the enterprise through science and technology” in 1995; at the time of setting up Feng Guangde Research Laboratory, TQLS Group owned

no more than 200 staff in 1997; TQLS

Group invested 1.1 million on building the

experimental base when the assets just increased to a higher level in 1999.

The first step is to possess the new technology

of the industry. Then it need find a match point among market, enterprise and can TQLS Group form unique advantages that scientific and technical innovation

is closely integrated with management mode.

To begin with, TQLS Group grows up due to the scientific and technological strength.

In the high-profile Feng Guangde Research Laboratory, the efficient and safe duck feed

R&D laid the groundwork for “Duck feed king of China”; the product of “Relieving

diarrhea from weaning” filled the gap in

the industry and got two national patents; “Biologically active protein” can substitute for antibiotics or be used as feed additive. To repay the society by the high-tech

products gets a “win-win” situation of brand and economic benefit.

Secondly, TQLS Group constructs a suitable business model for development. On the one hand, TQLS Group acquires

advanced technology by cooperative innovation model and then sets up

specialized enterprises to realize the effective transformation of science

and technology achievements, such as

duck feed manufacturer, chicken feed manufacturer, feed premixes manufacturer

the other hand, the development pattern

of Chinese western village is created by

sample project of new rural construction

in hilly areas. The great successful Sun Daily mode is copied continually in Jiangxi and An Hui.

Furthermore, TQLS Group is improving the organization system of technical

innovation. Technical committee is set up as the top administration in the enterprise,

w h i c h m a ke s t e c h n i c a l i n n ova t i o n

strategy, approves the campaign plan or executive measures, supervises strategy

i m p l e m e n t a t i o n a n d a p p ra i s e s t h e implementation performance. TQLS Group

builds a new technological innovation organization system with Technical Centre

oriented mainly along with technical innovation and continuous improvement

in other departments as a supplement, which involves with every employee.

Innovation drive gives TQLS the wings to fly. Facing the future, TQLS Group has

its own blueprint “making the most of industry and key leader advantages to

build a 10 billion enterprise and become outstanding quality and safe food provider

based on the technology of Feng Guangde Research Laboratory.

A series of Rumen Protected nutrition sources were developed through long-term cooperative research by China Agricultural University and Beijing Oriental Kingherd Biotechnology Co.,LTD.

1. 50% Rumen Protected methionine (RPM) 2. 50% Rumen Protected Lysine (RPL)

3. 25% Rumen Protected Choline (RPC)

4. 35% Rumen Protected Nicotinic acid (RPN)

RPM, RPL, RPC and RPN are obtained by coating methionine,

Lysine, Choline and Nicotinic acid with rumen stable fat in respective suitable proportions. The basic nutrition functions are the same as uncoated. The protective coat can reduce the loss in rumen digestion process, and thus improve the utilization rates furthermore than uncoated products. Experiment proved

that more than 85% of RPM, RPL, RPC and RPN in dairy cow diet will pass the rumen, enter the target absorption area, and

the release rates of the four products in small intestine are all up to 95%.The recommended dosages for one cow of RPM, RPL, RPC and RPN is 15~75g, 15~40g, 15~30g and 15~40g per day respectively.
