Punta Arenas is a small town located in the southernmost Patagonia region which has many historical landmarks and heritage buildings, while local residents are proud of their abundant history and significant city location. The local community is planning to build another fire station to meet the townplanning regulations while the incresed number of people who choose to stay in this city. The main charactor of heritage building in Punta Arenas is arch. The arches have been cutted, stretched and combined to form new orders as the key design idea for this project. Arches are not only the support elements for structures but also expose to outside as part of facade. The different size of spaces which formed by arches provide more than enough functions as request. In addition, the public courtyard gives another functionality to this fire station for people to relax and chill.

04 river & flow International Competition - Year 2017 Commercial Building Hangzhou, CHINA
Water flow is the inspireation for this design. There is no specific pattern for water flow in nature, it is always changing, from day to day, and even minute to minute. Water could be many different forms under certain conditions, soft as liquid, hard as ice. However, both water and water flow always represents the shape of external environment. This commercial project has wide river front views, but the limited site width which cut by a major road bring a challange to it. The unique shape and facade will attract visitors to expercience the interior spaces and get close to the river.
The curvy walls formed the interior spaces and circulation spaces. The circulation or movement from people within a space are impacted by the building layouts. The curvy walls enhances the sense of extension of the space, meanwhile, it merges the interior spaces with the river.

In this painting, a distorting and twisting spasm which doubles and blurs as if in constant motion. This painting to distort into reality - not away from reality - to reveal the truth and the essence of the person rather than merely paint an illustration.
