SKA
Vieja Skina es la primera banda peruana de ska tradicional que rescata sonidos tropicales del caribe y los fusiona con la vasta riqueza musical peruana. Creada en el 2007, el combo instrumental lanzó en el 2011 su primer álbum titulado Ayahuasca, el cual contó con la producción de Mario Siperman (tecladista de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs), Victor Rice (productor del emblemático sello Moon Ska), Manfred Schulz (productor alemán de artistas como Mr. T-Bone, Moon Invaders, etc.) y Mad Professor (renombrado productor de dub). Este disco tuvo gran acogida entre el público y la prensa especializada, lo que permitió entrar en compilatorios nacionales e internacionales y realizar giras por Ecuador (2013), México (2014/2015), Brasil (2015) y Colombia (2017) participando en importantes festivales de dichos países.

Sus ocho integrantes han compartido escenario con grandes estrellas de la música internacional. Destacan en esta lista los legendarios The Skatalites, Doreen Shaffer, Groundation, Pato Banton, Michael Rose (ex Black Uhuru), SteelPulse, La Maldita Vecindad, Desorden Público, Hugo Lobo,Onda Vaga, entre otros. A fines del 2017 , la banda presentó “El regreso de la luna verde”, disco que cuenta con la participación de varios músicos reconocidos del ska a nivel mundial, además, de haber sido mezclado por Sergio Soffiati de OBMJ de Brasil y masterizado por Mario Siperman.
