The Trust is specifically aimed at the highest level of skier. It has all of the qualities required to excel in the most challenging terrain. The progressive tip (early rise camber) aids turn initiation as well as guaranteeing great edge hold under high g-forces. The relatively short radius sidecut (21 and 22m), combined with a considerable width underfoot (108 and 113mm), allows the ski to perform on both piste and in deep off-piste snow

Despite being very accurate on its edge, the ski gives you the feeling that you have nothing under your feet when in the air. You can throw rotations and inverts in total confidence. The twintip double-camber shape allows the skier to vary the amount of snowcontact with ease, making the ski hugely versatile and adaptable. The MOSQUITO is as impressive on the piste as it is in the park, making it a ski that will appeal to a wide range of the skiing public.

TOURING /// X-Series EN // In this specialist’s range of skis we have maintained our orignal three categories. We have increased the overall strength of the skis while saving weight across the board. The outstanding performance of these skis is due to their construction and performance mechanics of the materials - a Movement secret. The second generation North TPT has an increase in strength of more than 20%. Fibre bands have been added along the length of the edges in order to give the ski better resistance to impact. The wood cores have been widened along the full length of the ski, guaranteeing more grip throughout the turn. The core itself has evolved, now built in two wood densities; with higher density being used along the edges for added durability.

touring /// Bond EN // The touring range and the freeski range are the 2 market segments in which MOVEMENT has always been a leader, with a history of numerous technological innovations. We are proud to introduce a new ski to our touring/free touring range which we believe will revolutionize the sector due to its shape and form. The BOND is the ski for the increasing number of people skiing in places where edge grip and control are essential parts of the game, as well as impressive performance in all snow conditions. The BOND’s shape and tip/tail design, helps it excel in extreme traverses and on the most exposed pitches. It is an ideal ski for the hardcore ski tourer.

FR // Dans ce programme très pointu, nous conservons les trois catégories comme conçues initialement. Nous avons augmenté la résistance de ces skis tout en ayant réussis à gagner du poids. Le travail sur la mécanique des tissus reste le secret du fonctionnement extraordinaire de ces skis. La deuxième génération North TPT augmente ses caractéristique de résistance mécanique de plus de 20%. Des bandes de fibres ont été rajoutées le long des carres afin de mieux résister aux chocs ponctuels. Les noyaux bois ont été élargis sur la totalité de la longueur des skis garantissant encore plus d’appui dans les courbes. Une évolution des noyaux est mise en place avec l’arrivée de nouveaux noyaux mixtes renforcés sur le côté avec des bois de plus grande densité et d’une dureté supérieur à la moyenne DE // In diesem Ultraleichtsegment behalten wir die selben drei Kategorien wie im Vorjahr. Trotz zusätzlicher Gewichtseinsparung ist es uns gelungen die Langlebigkeit der Skier nochmals anheben zu können. Das richtige Einsetzen der Mechanik des Fieberglases bleibt weiterhin das große Geheimnis der X-SERIES. Die zweite Generation von North TPT ermöglich nochmals eine Erhöhung der Stabilität um 20%. Den Kanten entlang wurde weiteres Fieberglas hinzugefügt, um punktuellen Schlägen noch besser Stand zu halten. Der Holzkern wurde verbreitert, um noch mehr Kantengriff zu erreichen. Zusätzlich benutzen wir eine neue Mischung von Hölzern, welche an den Seiten durch Holz mit einer grösseren Dichte verstärkt wird und somit überdurchschnittlich strapazierfähig ist.

adventure /// Pariah EN // After the impressive JACKAL (developed by Paul Parker), Paul has developed a new ski for the ADV range. The PARIAH is the JACKAL’s little brother, with similar qualities but a wider range of uses. It is the most all-around ADV ski: wide yet very edgy, extremely light for the approach, snappy and solid for the descent. Its round flex gives it excellent edge hold. The PARIAH’s strength is in its adaptability to any conditions, making it ideal on mixed high-alpine terrain for the demanding new-generation of freetourers.

adventure /// Blaster EN // A worthy candidate to replace the Couloir, the BLASTER is a natural choice in the category where all-terrain versatiltiy is critical. The ski’s long, progressive tip allows easy initiation and control in difficult terrain, and on steep pitches where other skis struggle. The ski has a lively feel, directed towards good, athletic skiers at a high level. FR // Digne remplaçant du COULOIR, le BLASTER prend directement une place importante dans cette catégorie ou la polyvalence est de mise. Sa spatule allongée et progressive permet d’évoluer aisément dans les terrains difficiles et les pentes abruptes. PRODUCTION and

EN // We are entering into our 11th year of production at our Movement Skis factory, where we produce our full range of skis. Today, we are in a position to use all kinds of new technologies and to work with new materials and techniques in our ski range. Not a season goes by without big investments in new machinery so that we can offer you the best: a wide range of skis that are high-quality, reliable and high-performance. We use very few automated processes in our factory. Apart from the molding, routing of the cores, and base finishing of the ski, which require the pressure and precision of automated machines, every element of our production is carried out manually, with the highest care and attention to detail, as well as the strictest quality control. Out QC begins with the initial raw materials. The treating and sealing of materials is done in a humid production line which allows excellent bonding of materials, and a strength and reliability of the skis that is significantly higher than the industry standard. We pride ourselves on the attention to detail in every ski that we produce.

FR // Nous entrons dans la 11ème année d’exploitation de notre propre unité de production ou l’ensemble du programme de nos skis est fabriqué. Nous sommes aujourd’hui capables de proposer de nombreuses solutions techniques et de travailler les matières selon différents procédés. Pas une saison ne passe sans que de gros investissements en termes d’équipement soient fait, afin de pouvoir vous offrir le meilleur, et surtout un programme varié liant qualité, fiabilité et performance. Peu d’opérations automatiques sont réalisées dans notre usine. Mis à part le moulage, le détourage et la finition, chaque élément et chaque opération sur les différentes matières est traitée manuellement avec la plus grande attention et des contrôles très strictes sont mis en place avant le départ de production d’un ski. L’enduction des tissus est faite sous forme de voie humide, garantissant d’excellents collages et une fiabilité du ski supérieure à la moyenne. Une rigueur et une attention particulière sont accordés à chaque ski dans sa phase de finition.

C’est pour cette raison que ce choix est primordial et que nous ne laissons pas place au hasard en sélectionnant avant tout les bons fournisseurs et les meilleures matières disponibles du marché. DE // Seit elf Jahren sind wir im Besitz einer eigenen Fabrik wo wir unsere gesamte Produktpalette produzieren. Daher sind wir in der Lage, zahlreiche technisch innovative Lösungen anzubieten und die Materialien auf verschiedenste Art und Weise zu verarbeiten. Es vergeht keine Saison ohne große Investitionen in neue Maschinen und Technologien, um Euch das beste, zuverlässigste und leistungsstärkste Programm anbieten zu können. Es gibt nur wenige maschinelle Vorgänge bei der Produktion eines Skis in unserer Fabrik. Außer dem Holzzuschnitt, der Pressung sowie dem Endschliff wird jeder Schritt per Hand durchgeführt. Jeder Vorgang, jede Bearbeitung der verschiedenen Rohstoffe findet mit größter Vorsicht und unter strengsten Kontrollen statt. Die Nasspressprozedur garantiert eine exzellente Verklebung und eine hervorragende Qualität des Produktes. Jeder einzelne Ski wird in seiner Endphase nochmals genaustens kontrolliert. Die Wahl der Rohstoffe bleibt selbstverständlich einer der wichtigsten Schritte in der Produktion, da die Herstellung eines guten Skis nur durch die Auswahl der besten Materialien möglich ist. Daher wählen wir nur die besten Lieferanten und Materialien auf dem Markt und überlassen hierbei nichts dem Zufall.

REINFORCEMENT PLATES

EN // Wood is alive, strong and resilient, and guarantees the ski’s continued resilience and longevity. MOVEMENT skis use only PURE wood cores; no synthetic or composite synthetic/wood cores (wood with injected foam) – (except kids skis). These cores are shaped from the most select materials, and are very accurately calibrated for the optimum result. We certify that the origin of our wood cores are FSC or PEFC (www.fsc.org / www.pefc.org). we have eliminated in our wood core assembly process the use of toxic adhesives.

EN // Our topsheets are a 0.5 mm double polyamide (ICP8210), available in different surface treatments (corund / grip / noppe / glossy). The surface treatments are selected for each specific use. This durable polyamide has an anti UV treatment (no yellowing), resists abrasion, and resists deformation with high temperature fluctuation. The anti-stick grip surface treatment resists snow sticking and can be cleaned without damaging the surface.

EN // The tri-axial, pre-impregnated fibreglass binding reinforcement plates used in MOVEMENT SKIS are completely integrated into the wood core for the most secure binding retention. These fiberglass plates, unlike metal mounting plates, do not inhibit the ski’s smooth flex. The evolution of TECH bindings and their use on all types of skis has led us to integrate specific binding-mounting reinforcement plates that assure safety and reliability. The plates are wider and thicker and made of pre-impregnated fibres. It is recommended that you follow our mounting instructions carefully and, ideally, use a factory mounting jig for binding mounting.

DE // In keinem einzigen Ski von MOVEMENT werden synthetische oder Composite Kerne (Holz mit Schaum) verwendet (mit Ausnahme der Kids Skis). Es werden ausschliesslich auserwählte und nach unserem Bedarf kalibrierte Holzkerne verarbeitet. Das Holz ist edel und dynamisch. Es garantiert dem Ski Spannung und Langlebigkeit. Wir zertifizieren unsere Holzkerne mit einer Herkunft FSC oder PEFC (www.fsc.org / www. pefc.org) Bei der Montage unserer Kerne haben wir die Anwendung von schadstoffreichem Leim maximal reduziert und verwenden Leime auf Wasserbasis, um chemische Lösungsmittel zu vermeiden.

DE // Als Deckblatt verwenden wir für unsere Skis doppelschichtiges Polyamid 0.5 mm (ICP8210). Dieses ist in unterschiedlichen Strukturen (corund/ grip/ noppe/ glossy) erhältlich und wird je nach Einsatzgebiet des Skis ausgewählt. Charakteristik: UV-Schutz Behandlung (keine Vergilbung), AntiAbrasion, keine Verformung und hohe Resistenz bei Temperaturschwankungen. Prinzipiell bleibt der Schnee auf dieser Deckblattqualität nicht kleben und auch eine kräftige Reinigung kann ohne Risiko einer Beschädigung vorgenommen werden (grip).

FR // (Ancrage des fixations) La plaque de rétention placée sous le pied est complètement intégrée dans le noyau du ski et donne aux fixations un ancrage parfait. L’arrivée en force des systèmes de fixations LOWTECH et surtout la pose de ces dernières sur tout type de skis nous a décidé à intégrer pour des raisons de sécurité dans certains skis, de nouvelles plaques de rétention plus larges et plus épaisses fabriquées avec des fibres pré imprégnées plus fines et plus serrées. Il est recommandé de bien suivre nos instructions de montage des fixations et de favoriser une mise en place manuelle des vis. DE // Die Rückhalteplatte ist unter dem Fuss patziert und ist komplett im Kern des Skis integriert. Durch die starke Zunahme der LOWTECH Bindungssysteme in einem immer breiter werdenden Einsatzbereich haben wir entschieden, in einigen Modellen breitere und dickere Bindungsverankerungsplatten einzusetzen, die aus vorimpregniertem, speziell feinem und dichten Fiberglas bestehen, um einen optimalen Halt der Schrauben zu garantieren. Bei der Montage der Bindungen sollte unbedingt auf unsere Instruktionen geachtet werden und die Schrauben sollten per Hand angezogen werden.

FR // Aucun noyau synthétique injecté ou composé (bois et mousse injectée) n’est monté dans les skis MOVEMENT (excepte les skis kids). Nous utilisons des noyaux bois choisis et calibrés selon nos besoins. Le bois est noble et vivant, il garantit au ski nervosité et longévité. En plus d’une certification FSC ou PEFC de tous nos noyaux (www.fsc.org / www.pefc.org), nous avons réduit au maximum dans le montage de nos noyaux les colles nocives et artificielles.

FR // Des dessus en polyamide bi-couche 0.5mm haute densité sont utilisés sur nos skis (ICP8210). Différentes structures de surface (corund / grip / noppe / glossy) sont disponibles et définies selon le type d’utilisation du ski. Caractéristiques: traitement anti–uv (pas de jaunissement), antiabrasion, sans déformation et haute résistance aux changements de température. En principe la neige n’adhère pas sur cette qualité de surface et un nettoyage vigoureux peut être appliqué sans risque de détérioration (grip).

We do not compromise with our ski bases: MOVEMENT chooses the highest quality, high molecularweight bases. We use very hard bases, which make our skis fast and very durable. EN // Fibreglass is crucial for the effective mechanics of the ski. We develop and produce our own exclusive fibreglass and carbon-fiber mat that is perfectly tuned for each ski in our product range. They are specific for our skis—none of these mat products are off-the-shelf.

EN // We use three different types of edges in our ski production : a light version (1.8 mm) for touring and high-mountain ski models, a wider version (2 mm) for freeski, adventure, and freestyle and one for the rental line (2.4 mm). The edges get a special anti-rust treatment and are pre-formed before insertion into the compression mould. A rubberlaminate between the edges and the other materials guarantees strong adhesion and seals out water. The ski’s tip and tail are reinforced with ABS layers that absorb shock and reduce vibration on hard snow.

EN // Our sidewalls are a mix of ABS and fiberglass. The 3 advantages of this combination of materials are 1) durability, 2) shock absorption on impact,and 3) optimal power transmission/edge hold. As the edges have a rubber laminate that joins it, the ABS sidewall and the fiberglass, acting as a seal to prevent water infiltration that could compromise the edge’s durability.

EN // We have a very precise die-cutter that allows us to produce the most precise diecuts right in our factory. The diecuts are positioned so that they do not inhibit glide. It is also very important that all of our diecut colours are made out of the same material, eliminating irregularities between different-coloured materials.

EN // Our skis are molded individually in a double press. The wet process (impregnation of fabric mat with 2-component resins) is the way MOVEMENT produces its skis. This process consistently results in the most solid, stable, durable skis. The process assures our ski’s longevity. Movement skis maintain their “life”, their resilience, far longer than other constructions. Before the final „finish“ step, all skis are checked individually on a precise marble surface to be paired.

Frequent quality controls take place throughout the process, with the final phase being the protective hot wax coating.

EN // The VATECH system is a layer of vibrationdampening rubber inserted under the binding, for better edge grip and a smoother ride. The NOSE VATECH system replaces the ABS plate on skis with a tip wider than 135 mm. This rubber layer smoothes the ride and dampens vibration of extra-wide tips.

MOVEMENT WARRANTY All Movement skis are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase for the original purchaser as long as the Guarantee Card has been completed. The guarantee covers the collection of the skis up to 2 years from the date the ski was delivered to the local distributor. In the case that the purchaser cannot provide proof of purchase, the guarantee shall be valid for 1 year from the date the ski was delivered to the distributor.

If needed, Movement will repair or replace defective products that are under warranty. Movement will send a credit note to the distributor to cover the cost to the distributor of the defective item. Any modification made to a Movement product other than by an authorised Movement partner will fully void this guarantee. All warranty claims must be made by the purchaser with their local distributor/retailer.

The following are not covered under this warranty: - Impacts caused by rocks, tree stumps, rails or other surfaces than snow - Scratches, nicks and scrapes in the topsheet - Fading or disappearance of graphics due to abnormal use or negligence - Minor irregularities in the base of the ski, including where the binding is mounted damage caused to the ski by improper mounting or adjustment of the bindings - Normal wear and tear - All damage caused by any use of the product other than for snow skiing

EN // The integration of NORTH TPT technology in the X-SERIES is growing into a great success. We are continuing to explore this new way to apply performance fibres as we introduce a second generation of custom fibres into the X-Series. Dynamic performance, increased strength, and better overall skiability were the three main areas of focus in our evolution of the application of the TPT technology. Our research was based on the placement of fibres in certain angles to achieve the desired performance. We remain convinced that the secret to successful ski construction is based on intelligent use of wood, tri-axial fibre glass and carbon, as well as the addition of certain hightechnology materials.

EN // It is clear that ski performance depends on the following parameters: flex, torsional stiffness, shape, construction, and camber. All of these parameters must be correct for the ski to function for its purpose. For that reason, each of the skis in the Movement range is individually calibrated for its intended use. Ski tips are of paramount importance to ski performance. Tip design can help the skis to react more quickly. The performance of a ski tip depends on its length and width, how it absorbs shocks and vibrationss, and, as a result, how it helps the skier get more overall enjoyment from the ski. All aspects of the ski’s geometry has its own part to play in the ultimate performance of the ski. The flex and torsional characteristics of the ski have to be in perfect harmony for the ski to feel balanced and predictable in all snow conditions. The camber defines how much of the ski is in contact with the snow, and plays a decisive role in determining the maneuverability and feel of the ski.

freestyle EN // Three new models of skis are launched this year in this category, a category which demands constant evolution and improvement to stay ahead of the game. Within the five models in the 11/12 Freestyle program there is a shapely model called the MOSQUITO, designed to be more piste-friendly, and the SCOOP, which is the pure freestyle/backcountry replacement for the BAGGY. The FLY SWATTER and the EL LOCO remain unchanged. The Junior range is redefined with no less than 6 different sizes of skis that are now available.

EN // For a year now we have been an official partner of MARKER bindings which have proven to be one of the most reliable and safe bindings on the market. Three Movement-branded bindings will be available for the rental market, as well as three more models with higher DIN settings, principally for the Freeski market. Our rental poles are a range of quality aluminium 7075 and alu/ fibre glass models specifically manufactured for the demanding rental market. The handles are moulded for comfort and usability.m The tips and baskets are all interchangeable. EN // Marker continues to be the clear leader of the freeski binding market at the same time as becoming a force to be reckoned with in ski touring and free-touring bindings. All of our selection of bindings is perfectly compatible with each of the models of MOVEMENT skis.The principal advantage of these bindings is the relatively wide positioning of the attachment screws on the skis which allows better transmission of forces and pressures to the edges resulting in better precision and control on hard snow and in demanding conditions. The vast majority of the bindings in the range work well with touring boots and profiled soles, making them perfectly adaptable to either piste skiing or high-alpine touring.The general performance of the ski is optimised by the lightness and elasticity of the binding products which allow a healthy and progressive flex throughout the ski.A specific binding range is also available with MOVEMENT graphics, as well as for the rental market to compliment those specific skis. The manufacture of the poles is 90% carried out in Europe for any aluminium, titanal, fiber and carbon fiber models. 100% of the materials used in manufacture come from either Italy or Austria. Three of the X-Series pole models make up the 10% non-European manufacture because their pure carbon fiber production is very technical and requires a specialist treatment process. We have opted for high-quality materials and finishes for all of our pole range, no matter which model. The same is true of all of the accessories (handles, baskets, basket holder, plastic or machined-aluminium inserts, hand straps, steel or carbite tips). For each range of MOVEMENTskis you’ll find numerous suitable options of poles in our programme. Also available is a large range of poles specifically for the rental market.
