our new Fresh deck topsheets give dC boards that poppy feel you get from a new skate deck. the topsheets add a snap and life to the boards that you can only get out of natural wood. they may look pretty but these topsheet laminates are pure performance, with several seasons of testing behind us to prove it. the graphics are screened on the wood just like a skate deck, and the wood is then sealed to protect it from the elements, still keeping its natural feel.

after receiving rave reviews and awards Radius to Flat has earned its spot on every board in our line. the ﬂat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you ﬂoating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge.

dC’s Camber Core is the secret ingredient that allows us to give our anti-Camber boards the pop of a traditional Camber board, yet remain fun and playful. this unique feature helped our boards win several awards last season. by adding a unique arch shaped profile to the wood core, the fiberglass takes on a completely new geometry, like that of a bridge. we’ve integrated this “arched fiberglass” shape into the anti-camber zone to give the boards more pop and added resistance when flexing the tip and tail. this also gives our antiCamber boards the stability of a traditional camber board.

the structurn base ™ structure is scientiﬁcally proven to be a faster base in all conditions. Just the right amount. IntRodUCInG:

devun and Lauri couldn’t be more different. devun is the backcountry godfather and Lauri owns the streets. In 2011, they both had pro models with anti Camber but after testing a variety of camber profiles throughout the season, they both ended up loving one profile in particular: micro Camber. the board is flat through the center and has a +1.5mm of positive camber in the tip and tail. Combine this with the dC’s revolutionary Camber Core, you get the feel and pop of a full camber board while maintaining the forgiveness and pow float of a flat board.

ian Jones did such an amazing job with lauri’s tattoo he decided to make it his board graphic. here, ian talks about their experience. how long have you been tattooing For? 9 years

when did you First get into tattooing? when I got out of the military. when I got my ﬁrst tattoo the shop was really busy, and a lot of people needed things drawn for them so I offered. they liked what I drew so I began hanging out buying beers for the tattooers and eventually learned how to tattoo.

how old were you when you got your First tattoo and what was it oF? I was 21 and it was my daughter, alanna’s name. I had always wanted a tattoo but I never knew what I wanted to get. I knew I would never regret it since she is a part of me forever. I had the tattoo over my heart because from the day she was born she consumed my heart.

describe the tattoo that you’ve done that you are most Proud oF. I take pride in every tattoo that I do, I put my heart and soul into every drawing because it is all a reﬂection of me. I would never want to look back and think I could have done better.

how did you come uP with the design For lauri’s tattoo? he brought me in a general idea of what he had in mind. From there I formed an image incorporating his ideas of family, as well as leaves from Finland (his home country).

you and lauri are obviously Friends and i know you enJoy board sPorts.... I have been surfing and skating for as long as I remember. the first time I snowboarded I was 21 and my father taught me. now that I live in Utah and there is a lack of waves, I find myself riding a lot more. although I still go back to Cali as often as I can to visit my family and surf.

what is the thing you esPecially like about the design you created For lauri? that he allowed me to directly draw it on him and trusted my vision.

how was lauri’s First tattoo eXPerience? he sat so well, and ﬁnished a 3/4 sleeve in 2 sittings. It was such a chill session, so it was more like a party than actually working, it went by so quickly.

it’s on lock! Lock and Load Camber is a new approach to “traditional” camber featured on the mega and PLY series. we started out with traditional camber throughout the midsection of the board, and then lengthened the traditional contact points of the board to create a ﬂat, stable platform for locking on to rails and loading up the tail for huge ollies. this skate inspired camber profile has allowed us to create an entirely new feeling of power and stability in these boards.

Fun in the Park. even more Fun in the Pow! simply put, anti-Camber means the board is flat between your stance, and curved away from the snow outside the stance. we adjust the length of the flat spot, and the amount of anti-Camber to determine how the board is going to perform. a long flat spot is fast and stable, while a shorter flat spot is more maneuverable. Likewise less anti-Camber translates to more power and drive, while more anti-Camber makes the board more playful and forgiving.
