INTRO “Turning professional changed my relationship with snowboarding. It was the boom days for R&D and the rate of innovation was insane. I was representing some of the most forward-thinking brands of the time and I soon became entangled within the R&D culture that was so widespread. I dug it. Working in the week to advance the products that would put me on the podium on the weekends was addictive. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was learning my craft and getting hooked on it. My team at Amplid and I are doing our damndest to create progressive gear for the most committed skiers and snowboarders on the mountain; and in the meantime I get my kicks by experimenting with new geometries, technologies and materials. In my experience the little bit of extra float, grip, speed and pop that innovative, well thought-out ski and snowboard products add, can make average days special for every rider out there. As long as there are people who agree, Amplid will continue to extend the limits of current shred performance, earning accolades along the way and lifting people’s ability and enjoyment to the next level.” – Peter Bauer

CAMBER & ROCKER

The A.R.C´s own ideologies

Confusion free camber line choices: Each camber line is unique in feel and performance. Finding the right camber line for you is about understanding where, when and how you want to ride. Use the force or our guide young Padawan. Geometry and camber line are the two most impactful characteristics on how a shred will ride so that‘s how we break it down for you. Surfing spines on directional Camrock or nailing switch hardways on twin Hybrid-V, what‘s your style?

POPCAMBER

POP CAMBER POPCAMBER

Burly man-camber, designed for maximum edge hold and explosive pop. Pop Camber is best suited to high-end shreds where performance is paramount. It’s hard work to ride well, but being slingshot out of carves and launched high above the coping is all the reward you’ll ever need.

SNOWBOARDS | UNW8 SKIS | Syntax CRUSIE CAMBER

DIRECTIONAL AND TWIN CRUISE CAMBER

CAMBER POWER

A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise Camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like Pop Camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In Amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to Cruise Camber to improve buoyancy even further. SNOWBOARDS | SKIS |

Alter Ego S-ROCKER

S-ROCKER S-Rocker, the ultimate freeride camber-line, features a blend of cleverly placed camber and rocker. Rocker in the nose aids floatation and improves deep snow agility. A conservative amount of set-back camber improves tail hold in icy conditions and adds stiffness just where you need it; for stomping big landings, styling dramatic slashes and scrubbing speed.

CAMROCK

CAMROCK Amplid’s Camrock profile blends underfoot camber with rocker tips. A length of camber under the boot provides grip and reverse camber in the tips increases playfulness and deep snow performance. This ski-specific camber manifests itself in various forms in Amplid’s skis; skis intended for deep snow have a smaller camber area and increased rocker to improve floatation and fluidity. SKIS |

HYBRID-V

HYBRID-V Hybrid-V has a rocker section between the bindings and camber under the inserts. It’s a loose, easy to pivot and effortless to pop camber-line, that works best with freestyle snowboards. The addition of camber to this predominantly rockered profile significantly improves edge hold, stability and ollie-power. SNOWBOARDS |

MID RISER In our experience Mid-Riser is the perfect camber-line for no-compromise, freestyle inspired, powder shredding. Subtle rocker in the tips generate lots of lift at low speeds and an out-of-this-world, weightless feel at speed. Unlike S-Rocker, Mid-Riser isn’t directional, which makes riding and landing switch in deep snow that little bit easier. SNOWBOARDS |

KEY TECH STORIES

From the scientific underground

HANDLING

JEKYLL & HYDE GEOMETRY Appearances can be deceiving JHG is the concept behind Amplid’s latest generation of ski and snowboard shapes. Experimenting with dimensions like surface area and effective edge has resulted in shreds which deliver performance beyond expectation. Powder boards with big board floatation and the manoeuvrability of a jib board; all-mountain skis which finally deliver on that promise; these shapes have to be ridden to be believed! LIGHT WEIGHT

HEXO2 Rocket science weight-shedding technology Any brand that promises to deliver the lightest, most durable shreds on the market needs an ace up its sleeve. HEXO2 is Amplid’s ace, but strictly speaking it’s more like having a Royal flush in-hand than a plain old ace. HEXO2 is the combination of pre-preg laminates and honeycomb inserts, which are placed in carefully selected areas to minimise swing weight, without detrimentally effecting durability. FIBER SCIENCE

TARGETED COMPOSITE APPLICATION Engineered feel and performance enhancement Amplid’s skis and snowboards feature various Carbon, Basalt and Titinal configurations to dial-in the feel and performance. Whether it’s the damp, fatigue busting effect of Basalt or the snappy pop of Carbon Stringers, we apply these materials in exactly the right quantities, in targeted locations, to deliver the ultimate riding experience. LONGEVITY

ABUSE BASE TECHNOLOGY Life extending, heat dissipating, miracle matrix Featured in Amplid’s urban and park focused shreds, the Pocketknife and Antidote, Abuse Base Technology is a thin gauze of metal particles beneath the base that dissipates heat away from hot spots. For regular rail riders hot spots caused by rail-on-base friction are the main cause of unwanted gauges. DURABILITY

STOMP GUARD Defending against early season shark attacks Stomp Guard is a thin layer of Titinal metal about 3cm wide that runs along a key area of the edges in the Creamer snowboard and Hill Bill skis. Placed between the sidewall and edge fundament and embedded in a rubber jacket, Stomp Guard is proven in lab tests to increase the impact force required to blow-out an edge by 215%. It also completely eliminates the chance of a core-shot along this particularly susceptible area of the base.

TARGETED COMPOSITES

TITANAL CENTRIBELT TECHNOLOGY

FULL CARBON JACKET

The lightest woodcore money can buy. Weightless Paulownia and Balsa are carefully arranged with stronger Birch to save valuable grams without sacrificing strength.

A countersunk band of Titanal metal, above and below the core, reduces chatter at high speed, increases torsional stiffness for better grip and intensifies pop.

Amplid’s Full Carbon Jacket is the most expensive fiber laminate in Amplid’s arsenal. Carbon’s tensile strength to weight ratio is unbeatable, it allows the use of thinner, almost weightless laminates to achieve the same flex profile. It’s responsive and energized feel are unique.

HEXO2 CORE TECHNOLOGY

You don‘t need to ride a crinklecut French Fry to get vice-like edge hold. V-Pop Carbon Stringers channel power from your feet to the extremes of your board‘s effective edge. The result is a snow magnet. The only side-effect we know of is explosive pop!

V-POP CARBON STRINGERS Spin to win with effortless style. Our HEXO2 core replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight recycled paper honey-comb, practically eliminating swing weight.

HEX MAT GLASS MATRIX Every gram that can be spared from our HEXO2 sleds is cut. Hex Mat is a prepreg biax glass with exactly the right amount of epoxy between the fibres. If left at room temperature this material will set so it is delivered to our factory in freezer trucks and stored at -20C.

BASALT SUSPENSION STRIPS LITE CORE Uber light wood varieties are cut, treated and aligned in a way only our factory knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientist baffled.

HARD CORE A poplar wood core with harder birch strategically placed beneath the bindings and along the edges for increased impact resistance.

Running along the topsheet in a V-configuration from the contact points towards the boots, these narrow bands of Basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping your edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the Rolls Royce feeling!

POP BAND CARBON STRINGERS A narrow band of carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to-tail. POP Band increases longitudinal stiffness and pop without altering torsional stiffness. Shreds with Pop Band feel livelier but remain forgiving.

OMNI CORE The P10 Superlight wood core is the industry standard for lightweight, durable and versatile performance. We‘ve tweaked this core so many times there is nothing left to improve. IMPACT PADS On the Milligram we have added mulitdirectional glass pads in the binding area, to avoid dings caused by pointy corners of metal splitboard binding bases. These pads will enhance durability without adding undesired weight.

WDT POLYWOOD CORE Snappy and damp weren‘t two ride characteristics that went together before WDT. This isotropic wood composite core brushes aside heavy impacts and requires 50% less energy to manufacture.

TRIAXIAL GLASS Amplid uses Triaxial glass in the majority of its skis for greater torsional rigidity, which in layman’s terms means more grip and response.

BIAXIAL GLASS Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.

ABUSE BASE TECHNOLOGY

SINTERED 7 HD BASE

Max effective edge and square centimetres in a min board or ski length. Unsinkable but nimble powder boards, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and edge-hold and the ultimate allmountain ski recipe.

Abuse Base is a thin, weightless metal coating placed between the bottom layer of glass and the base. The metal gauze conducts heat created from sliding rails and boxes away from hot spots and disperses it throughout the base eradicating heat deformation.

Amplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like shit-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.

CHOP TIPS Extra short tips with a tight kick radius permit the maximum possible effective edge for extra grip on hard snow conditions. Not for powder.

SINTERED 7 BASE

STOMP GUARD Stomp Guard Tech is a thin strip of featherlight Titanium - Aluminium alloy sandwiched into our shreds in just the right places, reducing the risk of core shots caused by rocks close to the edge and increasing edge impact strength by up to 215%.

EXTRUDED 4 BASE

ALL-TERRAIN TIPS A smooth kick radius and fuller tip outline improves deep snow floatation without adding swing weight.

A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies’ bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.

TANGA TECHNOLOGY

If we didn’t tell you, you’d think this base was sintered. Amplid’s mind-boggling extruded base material offers next level glide properties and rarely needs waxing.

A partial, hardwearing topsheet material deliberately used in areas where chipping might otherwise occur. This minimalist approach reduces weight for touring.

SHRED READY

FLOATATION TIPS Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.

NUKEPROOF ROUNDTOP Botox for your skis: To protect the topsheet from aging, our latest ski construction offers the best solution against chipping: Thanks to our 3D mould the PE foil gets welded over a small radius onto the sidewall.

MAGMA EDGE ABSORBER There‘s no such thing as “good vibrations” when you‘re haulin‘ ass. We place a thin strip of rubber between the edge and the sidewall to iron-out any unwanted bumps.

We‘re not going to sell you the best shred you‘ve ever ridden and leave the tuning to somebody else. We give every ride the best tune it will ever receive.

The dark force of skiing has been unleashed. Stiff and powerful, this angry, mountain-munching ski means business. Designed to slay the gnarliest lines in the world’s biggest mountains, the Infrablack holds an edge like it’s on rails, bullies its way through choppy snow and sticks big landings for breakfast. Amplid’s Full Carbon Jacket offers a stiffness-to-weight ratio that skis with fiberglass and even titanal construction cannot match. Sandwiched between its raw carbon exterior is a premium Lite Core with additional HEXO2 windows: Never before has a ski of such enormous proportions weighed so little! Despite its speed-oriented 30m sidecut and 126m waist, the Infrablack’s generously rockered nose and micro-rise tail keep it manageable in tighter terrain. The sheer girth of the Infrablack and its king-size nose make it a delight to ski in deep snow.

The Hill Bill is designed for skiers that are searching for the most progressive and creative, backcountry freestyle weapon for their arsenal; it blends agile handling with a surfy feel and effortless floatation. Very smooth, gradual tip rocker guarantees that the entire length of the ski, from tip-to-tail, is actively generating lift in deep snow. This auto-float design allows you to concentrate on the terrain in front of you and the trick in your head. Limited taper and a more centred mounting position make switch skiing in powder more natural. Because you never know what‘s beneath a shallow snowpack, Stomp Guard, a thin layer of Titanal running along the edges of the ski, increases the edges‘ resistance to impacts. On harder snow the Hill Bill‘s reactive sidecut, underfoot camber and Basalt Suspension Strips keep the ski well behaved.

Hidden beyond the reach of ski lifts there is endless terrain that remains undiscovered, and trust us, it’s loaded with fun lines and natural transitions. Previously these areas were only accessible to a strange breed of skiers known as skinners. The Facelift changes the game for freeskiers, now uphill efficiency meets downhill creativity. This fun and playful mid-fat ski, based on the geometry of the popular Multiplayer, delivers a surfy ride in powder and gob smacking uphill efficiency. Reducing weight isn’t easy, but by borrowing technologies from its award winning Milligram splitboard, Amplid was able to strip 800 grams from a pair of Multiplayers. Carbon replaces Fiberglass, because of its impressive strength-to-weight ratio. And because Amplid’s engineers relish any opportunity to show off, a special BBP core recipe substitutes comparatively heavy Poplar with lightweight Balsa and Paulownia in areas of low impact. Tanga Technology, a partial, almost weightless, topsheet used in key chipping areas adds durability without weight. Take your unadulterated vision of skiing to new places with the Facelift.

For skiing loaded pillows in Hokkaido or launching from hand-sculpted features in the backcountry of Tignes, Julien Lange always opts for one ski, the Multiplayer. Amplid has perfectly blended the worlds of freeriding and freestyle into one ski with true kill-it-all DNA. The Multiplayer has a directional, setback camrock which sets down big landings with ease, and its generous, early rise nose and Floatation Tips, which pack a lot of surface area, generate plenty of lift for skiing in deep snow. Basalt Suspension Strips keep tip flap in check, but the tips are intentionally softer than those of a freeride specific ski to encourage creative butters and more forgiving landings in deep snow when a stiffer tip might dive. On harder snow the Multiplayer’s comparatively tight sidecut transforms this mid-fat backcountry specialist into a credible carver.

Powering deep into its sidecut and being slingshot by the centrifugal forces into the next turn, this is what skiing the Alter Ego is about. It’s not a one trick pony either, it’s as competent at dissecting virgin corduroy as it is hammering through backcountry chunder or skipping across 40cm of untouched powder. The Alter Ego’s unique shaping and construction deliver exact handling and versatility. Titanal Centribelt Technology, a band of titanal alloy above and below the core, running from tip-to-tail, increases the Alter Ego‘s torsional stiffness and dampens vibrations for optimal control. Accentuated dimensions pair an aggressive sidecut for uber-cranky turns with plenty of surface area for floatation. Moderate camber and a pinch of early rise are the perfect seasoning for an awesome all-mountain recipe.

The Ego Trip Evolution’s innovative Jekyll and Hyde Geometry squeezes the floatation of a fat ski into a highly maneuverable and extremely lightweight touring package. Its curvy dimensions disguise a surprising amount of surface area, yet its 95mm waist keeps the ski capable on harder snow conditions and incredibly nimble in powder. With its smooth and broad All-Terrain Tips, breaking trail in deep snow is a breeze and S-Rocker’s setback camber provides good skin traction. A machined aluminium skin hook on the tail improves skin retention. Unlike many touring skis the Ego Trip Evolution has full sidewall construction to improve onedge feel and durability. Amplid’s flagship, weight-saving HEXO2 and BBP Core cut the ski’s weight to an impressive 1.5Kg per ski (@175cm).

There are many imitators, but only one Rockwell. From day one we knew this ski was special, but year-after-year, award-after-award, the Rockwell continues to build its legacy. We don’t think it’s too much to expect a ski to perform in the park, on the resort trails and in the backcountry. In fact team rider Alex Neurohr takes it for granted that 90% of the time the only ski he needs under his feet is the Rockwell. Exaggerated 5-dim shaping is what makes the Rockwell so special. Its tight sidecut radius and short effective edge bring the widest parts of the ski closer towards the skier’s boot, improving control in soft snow conditions. Extended contact points deliver abundant grip in hard conditions and all the extra surface area on offer helps the Rockwell to plane easily in powder.

The number of skiers that have reached their peak with the Syntax is astounding. Now with riders like Noah Albaladejo, Luka Melloni and Julien Lange shredding it daily, the Syntax’s legacy is in good hands. The Syntax singularity is its non-existent swing weight: HEXO2 inserts at the tips and pre-impregnated Hex-Mat glass strip unnecessary weight. It’s so light in the air and easy to whip around, that new tricks, tweaks and grabs are inevitable. Full-length, uncompromising Pop Camber is essential for performance on hard and groomed snow; the Syntax’s delivers bucket loads of grip and plenty of snap from take-offs. Because there’s nothing worse than clipping a landing knuckle, every Syntax has Amplid’s Sintered 7 HD base; if it’s waxed regularly there isn’t a faster base on planet Earth.

Acting on a team rider demand, Amplid’s R&D team set to work developing a ski that combines the buttery feel of a mid-wide rocker ski with the control and swing weight of a slopestyle ski. The result is the Antidote, a ski that’s pushing park riding into a more creative direction, a direction where style and line-choice are king. The Antidote‘s one-of-a-kind, shaping is the result of Jekyll & Hyde Geometry’s principles being adapted to a true twin ski. Its long, wide, low-rising tips are perfect for buttering and pressing. To boost the buttery-ness the Antidote has a Camrock profile with a small dose of camber underfoot and plenty of rocker in the tips. A Carbon Pop Band running from tip-to-tail along the centreline prevents washout. Abuse Base Technology, an Extruded 4 base and Amplid’s tough Hard Core protect the Antidote against damage caused by everyday park skiing.

Amplid is very proud to offer a next level park ski with sandwich construction, manufactured in the European Alps, with a very affordable price tag. Other than its wallet-saving price tag, nothing about the Provoke is budget. Its environmentally conscious WDT Core is not only greener, but tougher than a conventional ski core; heavy landings and rail impacts get soaked-up with ease. Its Extruded 4 Base needs little maintenance, yet remains consistently fast. The Provoke isn’t overly soft, but with camber underfoot and a carefully measured dose of rocker in the tips it finds just the right balance between a forgiving and buttery flex for jibs and rails, and a solid and stable feel for jumps. Because of its true twin shape its an awesome ski for getting to grips with switch tricks.

Freeriding in oversize backcountry terrain is the Creamer’s specialty, but that doesn’t mean it won’t slice up groomers like your favourite resort board too. Beautiful freeriding needs fluidity and style; the Creamer’s flex is fine-tuned to feel soulful carving and deceptively agile in tight, feature-packed environments like forests and technical rock sections. Relaxed geometry and sturdy construction increase its stability so that big lines with less than perfect snow conditions can be slayed with ease. Stomp Guard, a thin layer of Titanal metal located between the edge and the core, doubles the amount of force needed to blow an edge and prevents core-shots along the edge. This rugged, dependable snowboard will chicken-out long after you have. It’s time to book that flight to AK and let her fly!

A passion project of Amplid’s founder Peter Bauer, the Morning Glory brings the feel and flow of surfing to powder. Hold your line through a deep bottom-turn and snap a cut-back at the crest of a wind-lip. The parallels with aggressive short board wave riding are undeniable! Jekyll & Hyde Geometry and HEXO2 construction are the secret ingredients behind the Morning Glory’s unmatched floatation and agility. Clever shaping creates the active surface area of a snowboard 12cm longer while the short effective edge and honeycomb inserts reduce swing weight and bring control closer to the rider’s feet. Tight terrain or open bowls, when the snow is deep the Morning Glory is in its element, but even on hard pack it’s not a fish out of water. Just remember to set your alarm!

Beneath a suit of sophisticated artwork the UNW8 is concealing a ferocious character. Unrelenting edge-hold is a by-product of the UNW8’s full-length Pop Camber and V-Pop stringers which focus rider inputs at its contact points and intensify its pop. Weight-reducing HEXO2 Technology and Amplid’s Lite Core, a featherweight core constructed from batons of hand selected low density Poplar, make the UNW8 feel connected and responsive underfoot and effortless in the air. This is a board which responds best to the aggressive and powerful riding styles of expert snowboarders. New All-Terrain Tips, which conceal extra surface area and a smooth radius, boost the UNW8 floatation in soft snow conditions. Longer contact points, part of the UNW8’s innovative new geometry, lock onto firm snow in steep terrain and stabilise the board at hair-raising speeds. Expect all the brutality of previous UNW8s with a touch of refinement.

Raring to go with a new shape concept for the 16/17 season, the Paradigma in its latest incarnation is a freestyle snowboard shaped and constructed for all-mountain dominance. Its directional twin shape gives it a true-twin feel on groomed and hard-pack snow. In powder and mixed snow conditions the Paradigma’s slightly longer and fuller nose shape and a touch of early rise rocker improve floatation and aid stability. At the back foot an extra pair of inserts enables a more set-back stance to help tackle the really deep days. The Paradigma’s burly Omni Core and cleverly positioned basalt and carbon reinforcement give it the cojones to charge the scariest lines and remain cool, calm and collected. If it’s speed you’re after, the new Sintered 7 base won’t slow you down. The Paradigma is the board for anybody that is ready to take their riding to the next level.

Freestyle snowboarding shouldn’t be restricted to the park. Packed full of Amplid’s futuristic flagship technologies, the HiFi fuses supreme control and swingweight with geometry that performs in every snow condition, from icy pipe to blower pow, opening up a world of freestyle possibilities. All-Terrain Tips turbo charge the HiFi’s deep snow capability and Twin Cruise Camber offers the snappy, precision feel of traditional, full-length camber without causing the tips to dive; common with deeper cambers. The HiFi gets its signature, weightless feel from cleverly placed honeycomb in the tips and between the bindings. New Basalt Suspension Strips smooth out any lumps and bumps to blend sports car performance with limousine-like ride quality. With its ultra-fast Sintered 7 HD base and tip-to-tail Carbon Pop Band you’ll always have the speed and pop you need to clear any booter.

Spread butter on every pillow, log jib and powder-laden transitions with the Pillow Talk’s oversize spatulas, or just cruise in knee deep powder and make the most of its auto-float personality. The Pillow Talk is a pioneer in the twin-shaped powder board genre: This super wide deck with its exaggerated Jekyll and Hyde Geometry fuses freestyle playfulness with astonishing deep snow floatation. Long, low rising Powder Tips with inflated surface area will keep you afloat, gliding across the surface of the lightest, deepest snow of your life, so that you can concentrate on finding the next hit to get airborne from. Riding switch in fresh snow is never easy, but the Pillow Talk’s symmetrical Mid-Riser Rocker and almost-twin shaping offers the best odds for sticking switch powder landings.

The Stereo makes average shred days epic. From slushy side-hits to waist deep powder days, the Stereo has the uncanny ability of feeling like the right board for any conditions you care to ride it in. Hybrid-V, a fusion of rocker between the bindings and camber underfoot, combines the pop and edge hold of camber with the floatation and playfulness of rocker. Its smooth scoop radius and optimised All-Terrain Tip shaping adds an extra boost to its deep snow performance. The addition of a Carbon Pop Band to the Stereo for the 16/17 season multiplies its snappy feel, meaning even bigger ollies! And that’s not its only upgrade, a new Sintered 7 base guarantees superior glide in an even broader range of snow conditions.

In the early 90s, when skateboarding’s influence began to be felt in snowboarding, self-customised, chopped-back tip shapes were hot. These playful, uber-spinny boards revolutionised snowboarding: Out went euro carves and gate bashing and a new era of grinds, butters and switch tricks arrived. The Pocketknife is Amplid’s tribute to that era. Its minimalist Chop Tips are short and stumpy like its predecessors’ allowing the total board length to be reduced by 10cm. Riding such a short board makes technical flat ground, rail and kicker tricks a cinch. Hybrid-V, a combination of underfoot camber and rocker between the bindings blends a buttery feel with awesome pop. The Pocketknife’s full-length Abuse Base Technology adds extra durability to its low maintenance Extruded 4 base.

At last a women’s board for strong, confident women snowboarders. We didn’t hold back when redesigning the LoveLife’s shape and construction because the women we designed it for don’t know half-measures either. Imagine fresh tracks in the backcountry and perfect arcs at 80km/h on empty pistes and you’ll understand what this board is capable of. A Cruise Camber profile and Basalt Suspension Strips guarantee that the LoveLife’s edges stay glued to the snow, inspiring confidence in all conditions. Shifting the camber cavity back and introducing a small amount of rocker to the LoveLife’s nose improves deep snow floatation without diminishing its control and responsiveness. The addition of a tip-to-tail Carbon Pop Band aids stability and tunes the board’s flex for the more aggressive riding style of experienced snowboarders. Rounding off this advanced all-terrain hell-raiser is Amplid’s ludicrously fast Sintered 7 base.

The frantic early morning search for powder; the stoke of landing a trick for the first time; yelping and hollering as you follow your best buddies through a snaking gully, catching air at every opportunity… these are the best bits of snowboarding, and when you pack a GoGo for the next big trip you won’t have to miss any of it! The GoGo gets its fun and versatile character from a Hybrid-V camber, which combines the forgiving and playful attributes of rocker with the pop and control of camber. When there’s a meter of fresh snow to shred, its All-Terrain Tips and Hybrid-V combo make light work of generating floatation. And because you’re probably like us and always forget to wax your board regularly, the GoGo has Amplid’s fussfree Extruded 4 base, it’s hard-wearing and fast weeks after a wax.

Last year the Milligram wiped the floor with its competition. Not only is it the lightest production splitboard in the world, which makes ascents a dream, on the descents its combination of reactive handling, explosive pop and a fluid, soulful flex pattern makes every single meter of vertical climbed worth the effort. So how did we get the weight so low? Replacing fiberglass with carbon was the first step, its strength-to-weight ratio is off the chart. The Milligram’s core is a jigsaw of different woods: Lightweight Balsa and Paulownia replace Poplar in low impact areas and Birch takes the brunt of any impact around the bindings. Low viscosity Aero Epoxy allows exact resin dosing; any excess is squeezed out of the board during pressing, saving valuable grams. New Tanga Technology is a partial topsheet which prevents unwanted chipping along the sidewalls from touring and Glass Impact Pads under the bindings prevent topsheet damage from the sharp corners of CNC-ed splitboard bindings.

Whether you’re planning expeditions deep into the backcountry or you just want to extend your powder searching range in lift accessible ski areas, so long as fresh snow is your motivation for traveling further under your own steam, the Morning Split is the board for you. Super-floaty in deep snow, the Morning Split’s voluptuous outline shape, which packs the active surface area of a traditional board shape around 12cm longer, and its smooth nose rocker allow a forward, aggressive riding style in powder which isn’t possible with more conventional designs. Despite its huge footprint, the Morning Split manages to tip the scales at just over 3Kg. With its low weight and long elliptical nose scoop the Morning Split breaks trail with little effort. Camber beneath the back foot not only adds pop and slash power but aids skin traction on steep terrain.
