The New Board Order 2020 in its absolute weirdness taught us a lot of things. The first is that you don’t really need perfectly shaped slopes or parks to have fun with your board. Snowboarding has always been a tool of expression, and we guess many riders out there realized they can have a good time by simply looking further and getting out of their comfort zone. 2020 has also been the year of splitboarding consecration… too bad we missed the chance. Big shoutout to the split brothers, but we kinda sit on the other side of the DIY spectrum. You can either have fun hiking for hours to then ride down the mountain, or you can build your own playground in the backyard, call over your housemates and rip it till dusk - and it’s never a matter of age. Remember, snowboarding will never be the same from now on. This situation forced us all to re-think snowboarding and dramatically broadened our perspectives. The entire snowboarding industry has been affected, which until then had been trapped in the early 2K mindset of full seasonal collections and whatsoever. On the contrary, we introduced the “Carry Over” concept already in our very first season because we felt like you don’t really need to switch the design of the top sheet if nothing changes underneath. We still approve of this idea, so we decided to carry over a good slice of our collection. What you are gonna see in the next pages is therefore only a handful of new products that simply complement our range. We worked closely with all the team riders and fine-tuned boards to match their individual real needs. We introduced a brand-new wide board for big-footed shredders, and we dropped a brand new all-mountain freeride machine with the sickest name in the business: The Blame Thrower. Finally, we introduced a brand-new core, namely the BPPC Strongcore, which features a faster base and combines the lightweight of the BSPP as well as the strength and pop of the BPBA. We have many plans for the 21/22 season such as the #TNT tournament, several events, and exciting trips to meet all the Cartel members out there who are backing us with their support and love. A whole new era is about to start in snowboarding, and we want to be right there to lead the charge: Welcome in the New Board Order.

Canary logo deck, the Epitaph inspires confidence to every rider, from the newbie to the experienced bro. The flat camber results in a smooth yet stable ride, and - thanks to the BSPP light core and the Carbon SlingRod - chattering is heavily reduced, without jeopardizing its natural playfulness. New small sizes have been added for power ladies and nasty kiddos. TECH SPECS:

Rasmus Nielsen, AKA R.Art is cool as a Jazz man. Everything he does - on and off the board - sweats style. He’s our art director, our cool stuff spotter and of course he’s sick on the board too. The Jah Tiki is a medium flex beast, built around the brand new BPPC core to keep it light and poppy. We let Ras design it the way he wanted and the outcome is one of the sickest shred sticks out there. TECH SPECS:

Ozzy loved the outline of the 2020 Dogo so much but missed a little bit the playfulness of the Tiki. He asked for a board with tha same shape but a simple smooth camber and a lighter and softer core. The result is an amazing mid wide all mountain freestyle ride able to tackle every terrain with ease. "The brainfart must be a soft working board which is light as a fart" - Ozzy. TECH SPECS:

If you’re looking for an intuitive and forgiving ride, the Flat Camber is your choice. It holds the edge easily in every situation, so not even the newbie will not struggle while learning to turn. Moreover, it’s softer so you’ll be able to hold presses longer and better.
CAMROLLER TORSIONAL

LONGITUDINAL
Rider designed doesn’t mean a crew of cool cats making their own cool brand. Canary Cartel was born from a group of friends and riders, with a real experience in the snowboard industry and the goal to design great quality, amazingly performing and relatively affordable products for the average snowboarder pockets.
FLATLINER
POP
FEEL-O-METER
The Feel-O-Meter is the most intuitive and complete tool to describe boards. All the values go from 0 to 10 with 0,5 steps. The flex rate is split in two longitudinal and torsional - so it’s easier to see how the board really works and bends. The terrain section helps to check if it really fits your needs. Finally, the pop rate is split in three different zones: nose, waist and tail. This is because Canary boards come with a zonal flex, a quite exclusive feature aimed to improve your riding experience.
CAMBER
The Camber is one of the most important features in a snowboard, along with the wood core composition and the base material. The bend radically discriminates the way the board rides, pops and turns. We come from a long experience of snowboard design and we love to keep it simple. So we went for four different bends to satisfy all the skills and styles.
You want some more pop but you’re still looking for a smooth and flexible stick to have fun everywhere? And maybe you’d love a shape to avoid hard times on sketchy landings? Then Cam Roller is the choice. Positive Camber in the middle, early risen tips after the binding pattern.
CLUTCH
Step up your edge control with the Clutch. Designed pretty much like a Camroller, the Clutch features flat areas after the binding pattern instead of rockered tips, so you have a precise edge hold coupled with a smooth and fun ride, perfect for advanced park riding or fast slope cruising.
FULL CAMBER If you’re looking for the ultimate performance, classic camber is the best. It supplies the maximum amount of pop and board control. Canary Camber features a classic 8 mm bridge.
LOCKDOWN CAMBER The name doesn’t want to be a tribute to 2020 (well, kinda actually) but it means that once you lock into a press you get stuck there until you want it to be over. It mixes the smoothness of the flat camber and the pop of the classic positive camber.
CORE
Canary Cartel cores are made with the finest selection of woods available on the market. We know how to build solid and quality boards and we also love to keep it simple: no rocket science here. Our two woodcores meet every rider’s needs.
BSPP Lightcore
BPPC Strongcore
SOLE
Canary Cartel boards feature three different types of bases. The Epitaph features a Die Cut sole made in Shield 4800, which is a high quality extruded base material, easy to fix and almost maintenance free. Glide 6000 is the Sintered base of choice for JahTiki, Staybasket, Brainfart, Freetown and TNT with a serigraphic print: clean colors and fast glide. Finally the Moloch is equipped with a very fast sintered HypaGlide 9000 base with a serigraphic print.
BPBA Powercore
The BSPP Lightcore, featured in the Epitaph is the best compromise between light weight, lively pop and durability. Two planks each of beech and spruce run parallel around the middle of the core, while fpur planks of pauwlonia sit in the center, just next to the binding patter width. The rest is made with poplar to keep the overall weight low. The all new BPPC Strongcore is the choice when strenght is the main requirement but still keeping the board pretty light, featuring poplar with beech strings in the center. The BPBA Powercore is the ultimate solution when reactivity and strenght are the main requirements. Four planks of birch are positioned around the middle and next to the edges, with ash running next to it; the rest is bamboo and pauwlonia. STAYBASKET:
Four DBlock inserts made of carbon and kevlar stiffen the BPPC core tips, resulting in a soft board with lively nose and tail, for a forgiving yet poppy ride.
EPITAPH:
A single Slingrod insert made with a set of carbon stripes runs through the whole lenght of the core, sitting in the middle and consequently reducing the chattering and improving pop.
JAH TIKI / BRAINFART:
The Hopper crosses lying just after the binding patterns heavily improve the pop on the tips, and avoid cracks caused by off axis landings.
BLAME THROWER:
The Hopper crosses - made with a balanced mix of carbon and kevlar - applied to the BPBA core, result in a killer mixture of strenght and pop, for skilled riders looking for a snappy ride.
FREETOWN:
Built on the BPPC Strongcore, the Freetown features the exclusive AnarKee inserts made of Kevlar, Carbon and Basalt V shaped reinforced on the tips and a Kevlar stripe crossing through. Simon Houlind approved.
EDGE+SIDEWALL
All the Canary boards but the Blame Thrower feature a quality stainless steel liftie edge with a 1° beveling, which is enough to hold easily the edge while turning, yet avoiding the annoying catches on boxes and rails. The Moloch was designed with huge kickers, icy groomers and halfpipe walls in mind, so we went for a zero degree angle bevel, ensuring a perfect edge hold. Sidewalls of Canary Boards are all made with trusted and rock solid ABS and feature VDS rubber dampening system to reduce chattering on icy conditions.
