Patents Techno™ technology developed by Dainese® applied to gloves consists in the application of thermoformed protective elements inside the fabric itself without stitching or overlapping applications. The gloves that employ this technological innovation feature protectors on the back of the hand near the knuckles. It is commonly known that the most serious injury to the hand occurs when the back of the hand hits the ground hard. In cases where this technology is not applied, rigid/semi rigid plates are applied in these critical areas and fastened by stitching. The presence of extensive stitching significantly weakens the glove’s structure, however, and stitching can break at the moment of fall, the rigid plates can slide out, and the protective effect is lost. The purpose of Techno™ technology is to eliminate these problems at the start through a production process that uses a mould and a base element that receives a first portion of the fabric and then one or more protective elements. This mould is subsequently closed through the exertion of heated pressure and then cooled, after which the second portion of fabric is applied. Schoeller®-PCM™ inserts

The partnership between Dainese and W.L. GORE has lead to an exclusive constructive process that bonds natural leather to GORE-TEX® membrane through lamination in order to unite the former's s excellent water repellence and breathability with the latter's remarkable abrasion resistance in order to guarantee a superior waterproof seal than other types of lamination construction thanks to the reduced amount of stitching and the heat sealing provided over the same.

Schoeller®-PCM™ inserts for dynamic climate control: intelligent material with active temperature compensation provided by the Schoeller®PCM™ foam. This property is based on phase change technology, developed for NASA (PCM – Phase Change Materials). At a given temperature, these materials change their aggregate state, undergoing a phase change: from liquid to solid and vice versa. PCM inserted in microcapsules are set at a specific ambient temperature. If the body and/or contact temperature increases, the microcapsules store the excess heat. When the temperature drops, they release the previously stored heat.

D-Dry® membrane

GORE-TEX® PRO membrane

This hydrophilic membrane applied to D-Dry® fabric ensures an ideal seal against undesired penetration by water and air. Elevated breathability ensures the evaporation of perspiration under all weather conditions.

TECHNOLOGY Primaloft® One Padding

Techno™ technology

These ultra-thin fibres are subjected to special treatment through a patented process and combined to make an insulation core that is incredibly soft, lightweight, and water-resistant. Primaloft® One absorbs times less moisture, and is 14% warmer when dry and 24% warmer when wet than the insulation materials provided by competitors.

Techno technology developed by Dainese® applied to gloves consists in the application of thermoformed protective elements inside the fabric itself without stitching or overlapping applications. The gloves that employ this technological innovation feature protectors on the back of the hand near the knuckles. It is commonly known that the most serious injury to the hand occurs when the back of the hand hits the ground hard. In cases where this technology is not applied, rigid/semi rigid plates are applied in these critical areas and fastened by stitching. The presence of extensive stitching significantly weakens the glove’s structure, however, and stitching can break at the moment of fall, the rigid plates can slide out, and the protective effect is lost. The purpose of Techno technology is to eliminate these problems at the start through a production process that uses a mould and a base element that receives a first portion of the fabric and then one or more protective elements. This mould is subsequently closed through the exertion of heated pressure and then cooled, after which the second portion of fabric is applied. The big advantage here is that the back of the glove is made in a single piece without stitching for greater strength. Patent No. PCT EP1408782 B

This leather for use in sports clothing is characterized by elevated physical performance in terms of water repellence, breathability, and mechanical resistance. Thanks to their softness and light weight, these types of leather are widely used in the production of gloves for ski use where comfort, sensitivity, and strength are all fundamental factors.

Polyester and polyamide fabric with highly breathable, totally waterproof, windproof membrane capable of offering elevated comfort while riding permits the outflow of perspiration while protecting the body against infiltration of cold air.

Crash Absorb

All Air helmets are designed in a highly innovative concept that allows for excellent breathability thanks to the insert in perforated polypropylene placed on the outer shell and to the joint design of the inner shell, which is also equipped with air inlets.

Special material (water-repellent elastic-visco nitrile rubber) with shape retention memory and excellent energy absorption that adapts perfectly to the shape of the body and ensures optimum fit.

Aluminium honeycomb

Multilayer Treatment

The central layer of the Wave back protector features an aluminum honeycomb structure with excellent shock absorption performance combined with the capacity for progressive and controlled deformation in order to ensure better protection at lower weight than other solutions.

The term â&#x20AC;&#x153;multilayerâ&#x20AC;? means that a coating composed of layers ofmetals evaporated under vacuum with alternating high and low refraction indexes such as titanium oxide and magnesium fluoride is applied to the outer surface of the lens. These materials with different refraction indexes deviate the ray of light inside the layers continuously. A multi-layer coating works with the base lens (colored) inreducing the quantity of light that reaches the eye while simultaneously offering the possibility to calibrate/balance colors and therefore improve vision under any weather conditions at all.

Constant technological research and study for the ideal ergonomics have led to the development of a new generation of protectors certified to EN 1621.1/97 Standard capable of combining a high level of protection for compliance to the Standard with extreme flexibility and incomparable comfort. A sandwich composed of an outer layer in polymer derived from F1 racing with the highest shock absorption capacity and remarkable elasticity is bonded to an inner layer of polyethylene foam of the highest thickness to create an extremely flexible and deformable structure that also vaunts high shape retention for adaptation to the shapes of the body in order to ensure excellent ergonomics able to follow the body in even its smallest movements The perforated structure also ensures the correct ventilation of the area for greater riding comfort.

The pursuit of excellence in mechanical performance and comfort has led to the development of a rigid external shell with corrugation and perforation that distributes over a wider area the force generated by impact while ensuring light weight and breathability at the same time.

TECHNOLOGY Shoulder, elbow and knees protectors Certificates EN 1621.1/97 With their special construction, composite protectors on the shoulders, elbows and knees homologated to EN 1621.1/97 Standard offer elevated protection. A rigid external plastic shell absorbs and distributes impact energy over the protectorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s entire surface thanks to a patented reticulate structure that also offers lower thickness and weight. The inside of the protector in high-density polyethylene foam has elevated deformability and high shape memory retention that ensures greater comfort through adaptation to the wearerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s body, which is also served by perforation on the outside that increases breathability.

Ergonomics protectors Active safety also means preventing accidents: the study of ergonomics underlies all DaineseÂŽ protectors developed to follow the lines of the human body in order to ensure the greatest freedom of movement and increase comfort for the greatest concentration of attention on skiing. One example is provided by the back protector developed with a sectional structure in order to permit both the total backward and forward bending of the trunk and lateral flexure thanks to the lumbar joint.

The particular structure of the human chest responds to impact by compressing itself, with potentially harmful consequences to both the bones and the internal organs: this required the development of a protector capable of effectively reducing both thoracic compression and VC Viscous criteria. Collaboration with important international partners on the Aprosys Project, the study of accident dynamics, complex simulation software and strict validation testing has finally led to the development of a new family of chest protectors based on the concept of impact force distribution in addition to absorption.

Born and tested to the needs of the athletes, this particular threedimensional liner permits the creation of an air chamber between the protector and the athlete body, helping to evacuate the heat and humidity that are created in excess.
