The Slash is the elementary skillful act in riding. It is to navigate with power and style. In this act the rider’s wake leaves a line like a signature in the snow. Something to be wiped away in time, but in the moment it’s a mark of one’s expression, a style, a moment of stoke. We believe the snowboard is a device for stoke propulsion. This is our drive and what we seek to create for any onboard.

SPECTRUM / The Spectrum is for those who view snow in the streets and mountains through a prism of possibilities. Its zero camber profile is less aggressive than positive camber, but offers more stability than a rockered board design. This makes it easy to flex, turn, and press with the power to load up potent ollies and elude edge catch. The Reactive Flex fiberglass layup generates a lively underfoot feel from tip to tail, but also from heel to toe, which delivers more foot control for freestyle riding. The dual wood core contains choice poplar wood and beech hardwood stringers from tip to tail for a consistent flex with an added backbone of power and pop. HAPPY PLACE / It is a platform, yet once you’re strapped in it spawns a state of mind. The Happy Place was conceived as an easy-to-ride, fun-frothing, playful park board for all. The bi-axial fiberglass layup has a forgiving, medium flex that’s made sweeter by the Sweet Spots carbon fiber stringers laid from the bindings to the contact points to enhance edge control and amplify ollies. The twin tip shape and progressive sidecut provide a smooth drive whether riding regular or switch. The Camrock profile puts the stability and control of positive camber between the feet and rocker rise in the tips for better powder float and less edge catch. The core is built using poplar wood with beech hardwood stringers along the inserts for better binding power transfer, and added spruce strips increase control and maximize pop. Start frothing now.

BRAINSTORM / Storming the mountain with good vibes, the Brainstorm is a highly versatile, maneuverable, and capable directional twin for charging a bevy of conditions and terrain. The blend of tri-axial and bi-axial fiberglass cloaks the core with a fluid flex and beneath the surface lies a Buried Treasure blend of carbon fiber, Kevlar and basalt stringers underfoot for lightning-like response whether it’s a simple slash, or hefty snap off the lip. The complex Forever Core is composed of four distinct woods (paulownia, spruce, beech and poplar) for a dynamic, durable and ultra lightweight build. The subtle Traction Bump mid-sidecut provides extra grip in firm snow and the setback camber profile offers rocker lift in the nose for shoveling through crust, chop and fresh slop.

STRAIGHT / Navigate through the straight and narrow and along the ever-curving lines of the mountains. The Straight’s Backseat Camrock camber profile and shape lets you steer from the rear and plow through pow. The voluminous nose has ample float and the subtle rocker from the front binding forward makes it easy to keep the tip up. The tail’s half crescent shape and slight rocker naturally sinks for an easier, more balanced riding position in steep and deep terrain. Added Kevlar and carbon fiber Landing Strips from the inserts to the tips amplify end control for confident carves, loftier airs, softer landings and reduced chatter at speed. The new Powder Core—composed of paulownia, poplar and beech—shaves weight for better powder buoyancy without giving up strength or response at the board’s edges or centerline. Combined with a sheath of Reactive Flex fiberglass the Straight has the power to rail through chunder and fly out of the fluff.

ATV / This is the original Slash craft—a flyweight, reactive and mighty directional twin. It has a positive camber profile for stout ollies and pure carves. The Forever Core consists of a hybrid mix of high-end woods (paulownia, spruce, beech and poplar) for a tough, lightweight and attuned feel. Its outer shell of Reactive Flex fiberglass not only delivers robust pop lengthwise, but also adds a dynamic flex from heel to toe for more bite in carves and better torsional steering. The Buried Treasure blend of carbon fiber, Kevlar and basalt additives underfoot extend towards the edges and tips to propel response and rebound, while also allowing for a thinner core without sacrificing strength. Its deep sidecut generates swift slashes and the subtle traction bump bites through rough snow. The launch sequence is loaded. The coordinates are set. This is the spaceship for now.

NAHUAL / The Nahual is a rare and storied beast. It’s a strong breed capable of adapting to the spiritual and physical realms of Earth’s wintery highlands. But it has been tamed by the likes of Manuel Diaz and trained into a powerful, directional powder board. Its husky midwide shape, pointy nose, and subtle swallowtail give it optimal float and stability in shorter lengths and its zero camber profile aids in floatation while minimizing edge catch. Its sleek singular sidecut and subtle traction bump give it strong grip. Its tough skin is made of tri-axial and bi-axial fiberglass, but underneath its rough belly is a tender Carbonbon blend of carbon fiber strips from the inserts to the edges and carbon and Kevlar Landing Strips in the tips for animalistic agility and monstrous power. With this beast even you can tame the tallest mountains.

AURORA / Like an aurora’s light emitting across the dark skies this Aurora is a swift black slash across the snow’s clean white surface. It’s an independent-flexing, futuristic whip made for aggressive riders who seek ultimate response and control. The chassis begins with our lightest core crafted from select paulownia wood and bamboo stringers, with added strips of ash wood along the inserts and edges to bolster strength and edge hold. It’s encapsulated spacecraft-grade Non-Crimp Fabric bi-axial carbon fiber and tri-axial fiberglass for unmatched spring. The dual camber design places a separate camber profile under each foot, which act independently since the core also has precise Knockout milling between the inserts. Combined with the directional Redline sidecut, the entire system works like a gas pedal underfoot for speed, ollies, swift slashes and total control.

The core of the board is its spirit. It’s the inner skeleton that defines its strength, power and riding traits. For 2016/2017 we’ve started from scratch and created unique new blends of wood cores to complement our board designs.

Crafted with light density paulownia and bamboo stringers for superior strength and minimal heft then strengthened with ash along the inserts for power transfer and along the sidewalls for better on-edge stability This is the lightest, most complex core we create.
This is our custom method of core milling that’s highly visible on the Aurora. Using a CNC machine we precisely carve out material between the bindings. This makes the core lighter and the sidewall thinner to promote independent flex. The board has a more intimate feel and gives you better edge control.

Composed of low-density paulownia and poplar woods for their optimal strength and weight, with beech hardwood strips placed through the inserts and along the rails to increase core durability, pop and impact protection. The Powder Core is light, lofty, tough and designed for powder float.
Pure carbon fiber slabs placed in a cross pattern under the inserts between the base and the core to enhance responsiveness, pop, torsional stiffness and amplify foot movement.

Combination of carbon, Kevlar and basalt fibers. With our strategic placement this gives certain liveliness to the board by adding response to the tips and leaving torsional softness between the feet.
Constructed from four different lightweight wood species—paulownia, spruce, beech and poplar—for a premium core that offers a highly tuned and dynamic feel. It’s flyweight, durable, filled with pop and highly reactive.
SWEET SPOT HAPPY PLACE
POP WOODCORE
Two carbon fiber stringers stretching outward from the inserts to the contact points in both the tip and the tail. Like prongs sticking outward these additives feel out rough terrain, promote pop, generate stronger edge hold and create a more playful ride.
HAPPY PLACE Built with poplar, but bolstered with beech and spruce stringers. The beech hardwood strips are laid through the inserts from tip to tail for power transfer and a sturdy frame and the sturdy spruce from tip to tail just outside the inserts adds increased pop and precision.
LANDING STRIP STRAIGHT / NAHUAL Strips of Kevlar and carbon fiber placed from the inserts to the tips in the nose and tail to support landings and reduce washouts. This design also helps dampen high-speed chatter, offer stability at speed and load up potent ollies.
DUAL WOODCORE SPECTRUM Arranged with premium strips of poplar for a lightweight and smooth flex with added beech hardwood stringers tip to tail through the inserts for durability and increased control and response.

NCF CARBON BIAX AURORA (Top)
This small counter radius (bump) placed in the middle of the board’s sidecut improves edge hold without creating drag or strange edge grip. It adds extra bite on ice and turns regular turns into confident carves.
“Non Crimp Fabric” (NCF) has better mechanical properties and weighs less than traditional woven fabric. It has a higher load capacity and stronger tensile strength that’s less susceptible to delamination. All of this translates into a snowboard that’s lighter, snappier and more powerful than anything else on the market.
REDLINE SIDECUT AURORA This multi radii directional sidecut is deeper at the tail end for explosive turns. Combined with the Aurora’s dual camber and flex design it allows the rider to accelerate swiftly when pointed forward with weight on the front foot. At the same time it allows the back foot to maintain control and steering.
REACTIVE FLEX SPECTRUM / STRAIGHT / ATV A unique two-strand fiberglass blend that in combination with our wood cores promotes flex across the width of the board as well as tip-to-tail. This gives the board a more reactive ride overall. When boardsliding a rail it helps you lift the edge slightly so you don’t hang up. When railing a turn, it helps bite down further with more power.
SINGULAR SIDECUT NAHUAL A predictable and powerful sidecut with a single radius that makes for consistent turns. It’s ideal for intermediate and advanced riders who already know how to carve a turn, like to ride fast, and desire strong edge hold.
TRIAX FIBERGLASS BRAINSTORM (Top) /NAHUAL (Top) / AURORA (Bottom) Triax Fiberglass is a three-way weave of fiberglass with strands running at 45-degree angles. It provides superior pop, consistent torsional flex, and more overall response.

BIAX FIBERGLASS
Our progressive sidecut design blends many radii and smooth contact points for buttery smooth turn initiation, edge-to-edge transition and edge hold. It’s different for each model and matches the sidecut to the board’s specific camber profile.
HAPPY PLACE / BRAINSTORM (Bottom) / NAHUAL (Bottom) Biax Fiberglass is a two-way weave of fiberglass with strands running every 90-degrees. It’s more forgiving, easier to flex and and highly versatile for all terrain types.

STRAIGHT / ATV / NAHUAL Thanks to the addition of carbon and its high-density molecular structure, this sintered HD base provides superior impact resistence and enhanced wax absorbency for sustained speeds.
We build our edges with 35% more steel content than the average. They are simply stronger and more durable than the alternative.

A tried and true camber profile that offers a precise feel, predictable turns, solid edge hold, suspension and powerful pop. Traditional camber distributes weight evenly and offers a progressive flex pattern.
We add a slight diamond-structured stone grind to the base to maximize glide and optimize durability. It eliminates the slow, suction cup feel that comes with one-dimensional base finishes.

This design features two subtle camber zones underfoot with a pivot point between the feet. The camber zones make it precise by preserving the traditional camber contact points, but the pivot point makes it easier to turn.

CamRock features a loaded camber section between the feet with a small flat section underfoot and rockered tips. The camber section maintains stability between the feet, while the flat areas underfoot let you load up ollies and the rockered tips offer forgiveness. This creates a very playful, easy turning board.
While we take great pride in crafting our boards and monitoring each one, small imperfections might slip out of the factory. Recognizing this, Slash backs all of its boards with a two-year warranty against any material and manufacturing defects.
BACKSEAT CAMROCK BRAINSTORM / STRAIGHT The Backseat CamRock design places rocker in the nose and a slight amount in the tail with positive camber in between. This setback design delivers camber stability and control between the feet and in the tail, with the added float and maneuverability of the rockered nose.
NHS SINTERED RACE BASE AURORA NEW INGREDIENT
World Cup proven race base made from Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) modified with special Fluoro and Parafin based additives for better glide and increased durability. NHS Race Base is harder and faster than any other sintered base.
