NEW GOTHIC

Reconstruction of the roof of Notre Dame de Paris based on Polyframe Group work Time:2022.04—2022.05 Members:Yameng Zhao Jiayan Li Yexing Tan Xiangrong Tang In this project, we studied the history of Gothic architecture and 3D graphic statistics, and finally chose to rebuild the roof of Notre Dame building. The main structure of Notre Dame de Paris was completely preserved in the fire in 2019, but its spire collapsed and the wooden roof at the middle and rear parts was completely burnt. The fire affected the hearts of people all over the world, and the post disaster reconstruction program has become a topic of intense discussion around the world. Is it to restore the 19th century spire, or to give Notre Dame de Paris a modern spire that shows the technology of the times? This topic struggle is not just about spatial purity or spatial function. To some extent, it is a microcosm of the bifurcation of tradition, belief and art in the context of the rapid development of science and technology and the prevalence of consumerism. Therefore, we need to consider not only the structure but also the culture of Notre Dame de Paris in the transformation of the roof.

Location analysis

Our site selection is in France, and the building is Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris, which is mainly to rebuild its burned roof.

Notre Dame de Paris

Widely used during the Romanesque period. . .

Two cylindrical arches of the same shape cross at right angles.

It was semicircular in the Roman period and pointed in the Gothic period.

Late Gothic architecture added many auxiliary ribs to the pointed quarter arch .

Divide the four rib arch into two and divide the vault into six parts.

The auxiliary arch forms a star or other pattern.

BY SOCIAL CHANGE

ITS CHARM COMES FROM THE AESTHETIC EXPERIENCE OF PROPORTION, LIGHT AND COLOR, THAT IS, THROUGH THE METAPHYSICAL CONTEMPLATION OF LIGHT, THROUGH THE SYMBOLIC UNDERSTANDING OF LOGARITHM AND COLOR, THE SOUL CAN BE FREED FROM THE FETTERS OF EARTHLY MATTER AND SOAR TOWARD THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IN THE FACE OF THE LIGHT OF DIVINE GRACE.

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN, APPREHENSION OF MECHANIZATION, ANXIETY ABOUT SCIENCE GETTING OUT OF CONTROL, AND DESIRE TO DEVIATE IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN THIS ERA OF CHANGE. BRITAIN BEGAN TO REGAIN ITS AESTHETIC TASTE FOR GOTHIC ART - THIS IS THE GOTHIC REVIVAL, WHICH RAN THROUGH THIS GOLDEN PERIOD OF DEVELOPMENT AND GRADUALLY SPREAD TO THE EUROPEAN CONTINENT, INVOLVING ARCHITECTURE, PAINTING, LITERATURE AND DRAMA, UNTIL TODAY WE CAN STILL FEEL ITS AFTERMATH IN FILM AND TELEVISION, MUSIC, FASHION AND EVEN TECHNOLOGY

THE GOTHS WERE TALL AND ATHLETIC, WITH FAIR COMPLEXIONS, BLUE EYES, AND YELLOW HAIR, MORE LIKE THE SCANDINAVIANS THAN ANY OTHER MODERN PEOPLE. THE MEN WORE LONGBEARDS.THEIR DRESS CONSISTED OF A SHORT TUNIC WITH GIRDLE, WIDE TURNED-DOWN COLLAR, AND SHORT.SLEEVES; AN INNER GARMENT TO THE KNEES; AND TROUSERS SOMETIMES REACHING TO THEANKLE.THESE GARMENTS WERE OFTEN REFERRED TO AS DISTINGUISHING THE GOTHS FROM THE BARE-LEGGED ROMANS.

Flying buttress and wall force The pressure is gradually transferred to the side of the early Gothic buttresses, which are connected to the ground through the thin buttresses, and then fly to the side of the Gothic church. Sometimes a spire or other heavy building components are placed on the pier column, and the transverse pressure of the vault is transmitted to the ground.

THE SHADE OF VOISE

Social architecture design from social phobia to extrovert personality

Individual work Time:2022.04—2022.07 Do not like toasting at the table, dare not say hello to acquaintances, dare not speak in front of the public... In the past two years, the word "social phobia" has frequently come into public view, and more and more young people label themselves as "social phobia". A certain number of people with "social phobia" can cause hidden dangers at the group level, and further may cause serious social problems and even social crises, leading to the so-called "social phobia" dilemma. So why do more and more young people have social phobia? How to solve it? This design starts from the social state of people, and studies the relationship between social interaction and architectural space through the disassembly and analysis of the film "the shade of voise". The space size of the building, the position size of the window and the color enclosure of the wall will give people a different psychological feeling. The purpose of this design is to help people alleviate social barriers and complete the transformation from social phobia to extrovert personality.

Film introduction Synopsis of the story

Stylistic means

Symbolism

The film covers elements of coming of age and psychological drama, where it follows the story with compassion and understanding involves the former bully turned social outcast, who decides to reconnect and befriend the deaf girl he had victimized years prior. The themes covered by the film are school bullying and the integration of disabled people in society. The film then tackles with handling guilt within a community, redemption for mistakes of the past, forgiveness and self-respect.

Shōya's alienation and inability to stare at his fellow people are symbolised by crosses (X) on their faces. This behaviour is often emphasised by camera framing, which avoids the faces of people around him as Shōya's shies away from eye contact, often focusing on body language instead. In some face-to-face conversations, Shōya's interlocutor's face is cut out of the frame; the empty space left behind him achieves an unsettling effect for the viewer.

The koi, a symbol of luck and perseverance in Japan, represent Shōya, Shōko, and the rest of the group overcoming their shortcomings.Fireworks are a metaphor of the transience of each single moment of life: both scenes with the fireworks anticipate the suicide attempts of the two protagonists. The film occasionally shows short dream sequences. The architecture seen in the background describes the protagonists' inner life, recalling Michelangelo Antonioni's work.

"Social phobia" is the abbreviation of "social phobia", which mainly refers to the fact that the subject of behavior is afraid to conduct face-to-face social interaction, or that when conducting normal social interaction in front of people, they feel stressed and uncomfortable, and cannot express their opinions or attitudes in a normal way. "Social phobia" can also be said to be a psychological state of social withdrawal, involving the avoidance of face-to-face interpersonal communication.

SPATIAL TOPOLOGY Shoya's alienation and inability to stare at his fellow people are symbolised by crosses (×) on their faces. This behaviour is often emphasised by camera framing, which avoids the faces of people around him as Shoya's shies away from eye contact, often focusing on body language instead. In some face-to-face conversations, Shoya's interlocutor's face is cut out of the frame; the empty space left behind him achieves an unsettling effect for the viewer. This occasionally shows short dream sequences. The architecture seen in the background describes the protagonists' inner life, recalling Michelangelo Antonioni's work. In other scenes, the lack of harmony of the characters is depicted by oversized pictures in the room. The characters are stylized, recalling the caricatural style of My Neighbors the Yamadas.

This space is located in the third part, which shapes the plot at the beginning of the third chapter (shoya oshida learned sign language and tried to ease the relationship with Shoko nishimiya). The grandstand in the large space is connected with the small space on the four sides, which is visually connected with the lecture hall in the middle, but the people in the two positions cannot touch it.

FRAME

This space is located in the fourth part, which shapes the plot at the beginning of the third chapter (after the conflict broke out again, shoya Ashida and shoya Ashida lost trust in their friends again, and shoya Ashida's grandmother died, which made her depressed, so shoya Ashida accompanied her to play). This space uses non-linear walls to create a sense of freedom and leisure, and adds a large number of shelves to reflect that although free, shoya Ashida and shoya Ashida are still bound, Physically free but mentally stressed.

Project 3

UPSIDE DOWM

Design of super high-rise buildings

Individual work Time:2022.08—2022.10 With the rapid development of industry and the concentration of urban population, more and more pollutants are discharged from people's production and life, and the impact of pollutants on human environment is becoming increasingly serious. With the massive increase of carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and other pollutants in the atmosphere, at least 9 million people die from diseases caused by pollution every year. Environmental pollution not only endangers human health, but also affects the normal growth of animals and plants. Nowadays, the environmental damage has become more and more serious, and people have not paid attention to it. This building borrows the concept of eighteen-story hell to transform the impact of environmental damage into levels of checkpoints, so that people can feel the consequences of environmental damage, hoping to alert people to environmental protection issues.

There are many reasons for the shortage of water resources, including the uneven distribution of water resources in time and space caused by the destruction of ecological conditions, resulting in the shortage of time and space; Industrial and agricultural production pollution reduces the total available water resources; With the increase of population, the development of industrial and agricultural production, the total amount of water consumption has increased.

Asian-Pacific region

Changes in land and marine use

Common types are caused by unsustainable agriculture, logging, transportation, residential or commercial development and mining.

Species overexploitation

Direct overexploitation refers to unsustainable hunting and poaching for survival or trade; Indirect behavior refers to the unintentional killing of the target species.

Invasion of alien species or disease

Including alien species and native species seizing resources, or spreading diseases that do not exist in the environment.

Contaminated

Affect species by making the environment unfit for survival, such as oil spills, affecting the food supply or reproduction performance of species.

Climate change

It has a great impact on seasonal triggering events such as species reproduction and migration.

In the future, with the rapid development of space technology in the world, planets suitable for human survival have been found outside the earth. In order to stabilize society and protect the last pure land of the earth, the world has established a coalition government, and launch pads have been set up around the world to transport people to other planets for life, including Jerusalem, Chongqing, Stonehenge and other places.

In the future, due to the destruction of the environment and the continuous exploitation of resources by human beings, the living environment of human beings is getting worse and worse, various kinds of living resources are in shortage, the gap between rich and poor is widening, the space with good environment and most of the resources are controlled by a few people, and most people can only yield to the corner with poor environment. In order to survive, people compete for various resources, causing wars.

Static and stable weather usually refers to a low-level atmospheric feature with low wind speed near the ground and stable atmosphere. The atmosphere is continuously static and stable, which is easy to form haze weather. The stationary weather index can reflect the comprehensive meteorological conditions of air pollutant diffusion.

Chart Description: the white line of the earth vitality index represents the index value, and the cloudy part represents the confidence interval of the trend (95%). All indexes are calculated by the weighted average of species richness. In the terrestrial and freshwater systems, the biological classification groups with higher species richness will have greater weight.

Impact of CO2 on the atmosphere The high concentration of carbon dioxide will acidify the seawater and produce a greenhouse effect, leading to global warming and sea level rise.

Data Description: the living planet index (LPI), for short, tracks the richness of nearly 21000 mammal, bird, fish, reptile, amphibian and other animal populations around the world. It is based on the data of different wildlife populations. It is integrated into LPI through data algorithms, presenting the richness and life status of terrestrial biological species in an exponential manner.

× POLLUTE

Human overgrazing and deforestation, industrial and mining traffic construction destroy the ground vegetation and disturb the ground structure. Causes of dust weather

The greater the index, the greater the possibility of occurrence or maintenance of air pollution and the higher the degree of air pollution. Influence of static weather

In this building, people will be judged. Only by passing the trial test can you reach the top floor and take an interstellar flight to other planets. The Nirvana Sutra says: "The rewards of good and evil go hand in hand; the three generations of cause and effect are circular." The damage to the environment before entering this building will be reflected in the trial process one by one. The higher the damage is, the more difficult the trial process will be, or even the disqualification will be, and we can only stay on the broken earth to live. At the same time, make people understand the importance of the environment for human survival.

Eighteen hell Dante's purgatory is located on the other side of the earth, Eighteen hell opposite Jerusalem, surrounded by the sea. He said that purgatory was like a spiral mountain, where the soul repented and purified. Each level will eliminate one sin to the top of the mountain. The 18 layers of hell is the name of hell in Chinese mythology, which originated from Buddhism. Both are judgments of human nature. This design uses the concept of hell to screen the people who finally reach the top by judging people's damage to the environment.

Suburbanization is a result of urbanization. It is also a screening of people through economic level. People with cars can choose to live in comfortable and spacious suburbs. Due to the deterioration of the living environment in the downtown area, the development of subway and car transportation, and the pursuit of spacious and comfortable independent housing, residents have spread to the suburbs as a form of city. It ensures that people can live at will, travel faster, and expand their living space, so that low-density living can be realized.

THEORETICAL RESEARCH

With the invention of elevators, people began to escape from high places. In 1765 AD, after Watt invented the steam engine, the steam engine became an important driving force. In 1835, a factory in England installed a steam engine driven elevator.

Space development

With the development of aviation technology, people can escape to other planets. Up to now, some people can go to the moon to explore outer space, so as to realize space tourism and space colonization.

DESIGN LOGIC BRAINSTORM

MAPPING RELATION

SPATIAL PRELIMINARY DESIGN

This picture is the visualization of brainstorming, including three pairs of contrast pictures.

The upper part of the brainstorming is environmental destruction, the lower part is the test of some hell, and the upper and lower parts are mapping relations, so the concept of counter world came into being.

——Streamline design and space rudiment

Horizontal Axis

Longitudinal Axis

In 1999, the first spacecraft launched by China's manned space program, shenzhou-1, was successfully launched.

In 1998, the world space station was established.

In 1969, the Apollo moon landing program was successful.

The Soviet Union developed the R7 intercontinental missile in 1957

In 1961, Yuri Gagarin, the first astronaut.

The right side of the lower part of the vertical axis of the "cross" is environmental damage, and the left side is hell. The two are causal relationships. The upper part is a building built from the religious beliefs of the virtual world.

In the 1940s, rocket technology was used in military -- German V2 rocket

The first aircraft in 1900 - biplane glider

Dream begins: Chang'e rushes to the moon

Above the horizontal axis of the "cross" is the space development process, which symbolizes people's vertical escape. Below the horizontal axis is the development of industry and the migration history of human beings, which symbolizes people's horizontal escape.

This is the embryonic form of space and streamline generated according to different types of environmental damage and corresponding hell tests.

TERMINATION

The last part is the launch platform, which can be reached only by customs clearance personnel.

LAUNCH PLATFORM The third part is the last part before customs clearance. A light opening is set at the top of the space, so that people can see the beautiful scene after passing through the opening, giving people hope.

THIRD PASS (GAS)

In 2022, China space station was successfully established.

——The connection between hell and environmental destruction

THIRD PASS (LIQUID) This part has both open public space and closed private space.

In this part, through the reflection of the mirror, people can see themselves and reflect on themselves.

AVIATION DEVELOPMENT (SCREENING)

The fourth industrial revolution - artificial intelligence.

Knife mountain hell

The person who commits one of the above two crimes is sent to daoshan hell after death, stripped of his clothes, and made him climb the daoshan naked Depending on the seriousness of his crime, he may be "resident" on the knife mountain.

The third industrial revolution information technology revolution.

The second industrial revolution power technology revolution.

The first industrial revolution steam technology revolution.

Newton's law of motion provides a basic theorem for the establishment of physical science.

Invention of astronomical telescope.

Farming culture.

The invention of wooden boats provided tools for human migration.

The third part of the trial of gas pollution is related to "Evil reason mirror hell". This part is divided into two parts, trial of living and industrial liquid pollution respectively.

FIRST PASS(SOLID)

I-3 is the trial of people who produce domestic garbage. You can go to the second part through here. I-2 is the judge of those who produce industrial waste, and others can go directly to I-3.

Air pollution

Bull Pit hell

This is a hell of redressing for animals. All living people kill livestock at will, and after death, they are driven into cattle pit hell. Put into the pit, several bison hit, horn top, hoof trample.

This part also places a rest space, which can rest after the first part.

Oil pot hell

Prostitution, robbery by thieves, bullying the good and bullying the weak. After death, they go to the oil pot hell, strip their clothes and put them into the hot oil pot for frying.

The second part is the trial of liquid pollution, which is related to "Decuting hell".

Global warming, sea level rise

Blood pool hell

Those who do not respect others, do not honor their parents, are not upright, and have crooked ways will go to hell in the blood pool after death. Suffer in the blood pool.

Knife saw hell

This is a hell of redressing for animals. All living people kill livestock at will, and after death, they are driven into cattle pit hell. Put into the pit, several bison hit, horn top, hoof trample.

DESTRUCTION

Architectural and Urban Design based on Hong Kong and Shenzhen industries Individual work Time:2022.10—2022.12 With the development of urbanization, Shenzhen has developed from a small fishing village to a metropolis, but its problems with Hong Kong are also increasing. Although Shenzhen and Hong Kong are only separated by a river, there are great differences in terms of clothing, food, housing, transportation, economy and economic system. I don't know which year the "coffin room" has become the impression of Shenzhen people on the living environment of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong regards Shenzhen as the back garden of Hong Kong to ease the land tension. Both Shenzhen's stereotype of Hong Kong and Hong Kong's misunderstanding of Shenzhen have led to the failure of a good cooperation environment between the two economies. And because of the differences in the economic systems between the two places, a group of people named "water smugglers" have been derived, which has seriously disrupted the market environment of the two places. I hope that through this design, we can solve some urban conflicts between the two places, balance the prices of the two places and crack down on smugglers, so as to form cultural identity between the two places, thus promoting cultural exchanges and economic development between the two places.

This building was built on the shore of Shenzhen Bay to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the mainland from the national level. The purpose of this building is to communicate with Hong Kong and Shenzhen. It is not only to balance the prices of the two places and crack down on smugglers, but also to form cultural identity between the two places, thus promoting cultural exchanges and economic development between the two places.

A story about a furniture company......

Select functions in the system and build them at the initial stage.

Design drawings in the office unit, and then......

In the early stage of furniture production in their own factories, they rented public warehouses due to lack of funds and needed to be transported through transportation units.

Transportation to the bottom commercial space for sale, and business is booming......

Due to the booming business, we need our own storage space, so we can reselect the unit in the system......

The internal gear of the block rotates to move the required storage space to the same height as other blocks.

LIVE TOGETHER

Renovation and Renewal Design of Majia Community Based on "Urban Repair"

Individual work Time:2023.5—2023.9 China's urbanization is developing rapidly, and the development stage is transitioning from high-speed to high-quality. However, there is a lack of available construction land in cities, and new buildings have no land to build. Due to the lack of completeness in traditional urban planning and architectural design, the drawbacks of early urban construction have gradually emerged."Urban repair "provides a new approach for urban renewal, which is a gradual urban renewal method that uses the concept of renewal and patching to demolish illegal buildings, repair urban facilities, spatial environment, landscape style, and enhance urban characteristics and vitality. On the basis of the concept of "urban renovation", this design analyzes the residential areas, public spaces, and green landscapes of Majia Community, aiming to solve the problems that may arise during the renovation process, reduce the social and economic costs and repair costs that may arise after the problems occur, and improve the living quality of Majia Community residents in Bincheng District. This design is a practical project, starting from the base research to the project conclusion, I realized the gap between theory and practice, and without practice, I cannot appreciate the complexity of construction.

The original southwest corner is a barbecue square. According to long-term observation and inquiries with nearby residents, the barbecue square has been idle for a long time. The plot is closest to the university campus and serves as a gathering point for pedestrian flow. Therefore, new buildings have been added here to stimulate the vitality and vitality of the community. The plane of the newly built building conforms to the texture of other buildings in the base, adopting the form of streets and alleys, and its facade adopts the characteristic structure of the northern Shandong region. In order to alleviate the pressure of parking in the community, an underground parking lot has been built underground in the newly built building, and a dedicated design has been made to separate people and vehicles to ensure the safety of residents.
