Task is to identify the reislinance of nature system, with existing stream from wild to city, to design a self-sustainable facility to habit more species, based on the imagination that people re-connect to nature in city context.

The site connect the underground flooding system, so taking the sponge s t r a g e d y, w h e n facing heavy rain like 2019. The project divide into several parts to treat water.
Sheffield, city gathers five streams of water from the peak area and is dispersed within the city via the underground flood system 'megatron'. Water acts as a mechanism of nature's self-circulation, enabling species to migrate and re-inhabit in city.
Workflow diagram shows the current watercleaning system ,rainwater recycling and biofliter.

Timber tiles with the panel of algae aWnd soil Collecting rainwater from roof ,through panels which contains stone and stratiotes, flitering the sludge to receive recycled water for farming and fishing.

Covering with ETFE surface could grow plants and keep them in available tempurtature. The lab stored sample of plants to test in any envrionment in order to inhabit in the artifical nature.

After sediment, sludge is seperated out of water. Water could be used in vertical farm to self-sustain.Hub tree plays coordinator in the system
IV. Hub tree Nature system has its own resilince to rebuild and recover from change. in any circumstance. Hub trees are the largest trees in forests ,their roots normally grow deeper under the soilthat act as central hubs for vast below-ground mycorrhizal networks , it could balace the source equally .

02 Migranting city Project inspired by research of a shifting industrial city, Mawei. Gap between development and industrial producing of city has influenced people's lives. Proposal is to design a megastructure which could not only satisfied local needs ,but also attracts more people to move, in order to thrive the city

Development of Mawei shipyard
The period of ship based transportation centre. 1866. The Qing government chose Mawei as the Marine Arsenal site and established Mawei shipyard

1906 Zuo was the first leader of building the shipyard. Until 1907, 40 warships were borned from here
1938. During World War II. The japanese navy bombers attacked the site , most facilities were destoryed
1946
1941. Imperial japanese army landed Fuchow and forced local workers to dismantle all the machine.
Site analysis & strategy 0 km
The period of railway based 2016. For production transportation centre. 1971. First freight railway which connected Fuchow and Mawei was built and activiated local industry production again.
1976 With the train and shipping transportation , the harbour flourished

LOCATION
History line shows the close relationship between city development and traffic. Developed from the main entrance of china and oversea business to first crucial industrial site. After 1976, railway acrossed city like veins connect Foochow and itself
TOD(transportation orient development) is a strategy which concentrate on alleviating city transport network influence on city expansion. Especially railway and subway, as a giant line across the city ,it seperate city into pieces ,bring uneven development condition.

01 Connecting barrier The programe could be left from the ground and can connect people from both side. Also, creating a city scenrio above the railway.
02 Join the city traffic The new accommodation will settled above the main traffic, so that immigrants could be convient to live the city instead of renting a house in rural area.
03 using low-used land
HUB Infrastructure could integrate into different content in the city . it creates a bridge connecting the boundary made by industrial product and citizen. Meanwhile , the sky-train technology could not only trans goods and people ,also becoming a landmark of Mawei city.

There are many factories occupied most land of the city, There were no place for public activities. The programe will be constructured in the lowused land in factory, adding more public space.

This proposal is to re-define an abandon military facility as monument. Combine with the study of how traditional temple enhance visitor's memory , designing a museum to let people feel the sadness bring by war.

The river come from the mountain top, through the old village and farmlands. Since 1950 , the place become a boundary . After 60 years, the boundary and shelter become a common memory of residence and soldier , as a witness of this memory . so i also de-fine the place as a bridge.

Shanwai locates in the south-east of Kinmen. shielded by a mountian ,so the headquarter and cannon force were settled behind here. After 1980, army fall back to another place. while the river , the boundary will be brokedown, the facilities become negative space in the city.

At the beginning of path, visitor will walk through a square pool , also is the last scernio of the path. means " Rebirth "
Limited light into the dark enviornment , fell on the rough texture, people need to go upstair , interact with concrete .People may have a experience like the past, the sense of anxiety and depression.

The shape of the pool is designed as the skylight, when the light coming through,like a scenrio in the tunnel means "Hope". also it could reflect protected wall ,as a monument.
Eventually , people face a huge pool, reflect the outside forest ,wind ,ehjoy meditation. Or climb the tower to see the different view of village and camp.

Using bricks as the base, the lightweight steel tube connects display panels. When these are placed in traditional buildings floored with red tiles, they merge together virtually.
