Branded spaces can include flagship and concept stores; virtual, temporary and event space s; installations; theme parks, expos and museums; and more broadly tourist destinations, regions and cities. Curation and Exhibition Design The histories and theories of curating, visual merchandising and display combined with the communication of c oncept development and implementation of permanent and temporary exhibitions using a range of traditional, digital and experimental methods. Projects are developed for public and private spaces including live events, po p ups, museums, galleries, shops, offices, both online and in the street. Social and Environmental Design Inclusive sustainable design that enhances lives through the spaces, surfaces and objects that surround us. The design of space, surface and object is integrated into interior and exterior environments, including architectural form, through texture, colour and light crossing the boundaries between emergent technologies and craft. Desi gn is used as a driver of positive change using natural materials and resources and addressing social and enviro nmental needs such as health, pollution, population, waste, climate, carbon footprint, crime, exclusion and alien ation. Design for Living Defining and creating designs for living. Designing personal domestic and commercial spaces which relate to h uman experience and needs through the use of decoration, products, possessions and artefacts. Understanding the relationship between body and space and the significance of the domestic environment, its artefacts, surfac es and spaces in relation to a variety of timeframes and cultures.

Curriculum The Set Designer/ Space Designer creates ephemeral architectures and scalable forms inscribed in cultural a nd/or urban stages. Its approach is centred on notion s of body, event and representation. It convokes and crosses specific practises: lighting, volume, installation, choreography, sound design, event design, web desig n... The attention given to context and the place of the s pectator, or user, makes projects into situated creatio ns, founded on an engaged, plastic and unique vision. This architect of the ephemeral extends Set Design to diverse domains such as architecture, public spaces, u rban and special events, museography...complementin g the field of the performing arts. The guiding princip le is the manner in which the student's vision is mana ged and organised. Teaching of the project is central, nourished by the le arning of tools of design, creation and representation, in addition to the acquisition of both a general and s pecific culture. The pedagogy at work also aims to giv e the student the ability to work within multidisciplina ry teams, and to become engaged in diverse professi onal situations, and even to invent original modes of production and practice.

SPACE DESIGN The following items are addressed in the curriculum:

1st Year entry exam For admissions to the 1st year entry exam you need the Baccalauréat (or equivalent diploma). French language skills are mandatory and you need a proof of a B1 level in French. The exam is structured in two phases: 1) selection of the written application (portfolio, letter of intent and application form) 2) interview with a jury and written examination (in French) on a theoretical subject.
Admission committee This committee is open to students having completed at least one year of higher artistic education.
