CATALOG FOREWORD Today’s most coveted works of art were created by the Contemporary Masters antecedent and present-day. The artistic visionaries of the 20th Century like Picasso and Miró, who started with such humble materials as clay, linoleum and charcoal, gave way to the printing “laboratories” of Ken Tyler where Frank Stella married sculptural and printing techniques to create his monumental expressionistic works of art. New River Fine Art’s exhibition Masters: Modern and Contemporary, explores the relationships between the creative genius, past and present, that radically transformed how art is defined. - Lisa Burgess
Many people participated in the curation of this exhibition and catalog assembledge for whom we are thankful. In particular, we owe an enormous sense of gratitude to Masterworks maestro Larry Wonderful and his unerring sense of good taste and rugged good looks.
