Manta rays are large rays belonging to the genus Manta. The larger species, M. birostris, reaches 7 m (23 ft 0 in) in width while the smaller, M. alfredi, reaches 5.5 m (18 ft 1 in). Both have triangular pectoral fins, horn-shaped cephalic fins and large, forward-facing mouths. They are classified among the Myliobatiformes (stingrays aand relatives) and are placed in the family Myliobatidae (eagle rays).
After doing research about manta ray, I use different grasshopper components to imitate its shape.

The Barcelona Fish, a 52m long sculpture as a landmark of the Barcelona Seafront.At the age of 83, Gehry continues to design fish in his studio. Known for his deconstructed, imaginative and creative designs with the experimental use of materials, the fish language became Gehr y’s design power from the post-Modernism period as he was exploring new creative use of forms. Gehry ventures different parametric design in his carrer. I really admire him for his innovated emotion.

Date ď˝œ 2018.04.20 Although I already know how to create a continua tile by rhino and grasshopper, making real model is not that easy. To consider how to print 3-D model is the most important point in this project.
