It’s cold outside, like really cold. It’s so cold that you don’t want to leave your house. So here at Chip’s Maps, we have scoured the menus to find some warm and comforting meals to tempt you outside. Here are our top five hot and tasty meals to warm you up this winter. 1. THE Wolfhound - Beef and Mushroom Pie (W14,900). Tender pieces of beef, mushrooms, and vegetables, topped with homemade pastry and baked golden brown. Served with a side of mash potatoes. 2. Left Coast - Carrot Soup (W6,000) - They may be famous for their burgers, but they also have great soups. This one will warm your cockles without ruining your New Year’s diet. 3. Craftworks - Hearty Beef Chili (W10,000) - A blend of ground beef, beans, and tomatoes, spiced just right, sprinkled with cheddar cheese and served with a fresh-baked dinner roll. W10,000 or W14,000 depending on if you have pulled pork on top. 4. Suji’s Deli - Chowder Soup Special (W4,500). A big bowl of creamy chowder is just the ticket to warm up your insides. 5. The Itaewon 2-dong community center is offering a Korean calligraphy class for those interested in learning this unique tradition. The classes will take place every Monday and Friday from 2 to 4 pm, and will be held until March. The fee is W14,000 for one month, or W42,000 for the entire course. Accor Ambassador Korea to Build Korea’s Largest Hotel Complex in Yongsan Accor Ambassador Korea (a joint venture with French hotel operator Accor S.A.) will be constructing Korea’s largest hotel complex in Yongsan. The hotels include Novotel Ambassador, Suite Novotel Ambassador, Grand Mercure Ambassador, and ibis Styles Ambassador. 2,000 guest rooms will be spread over 14,000 square meters on the site that was once reserved for the now defunct Yongsan bus terminal project. Accor Ambassador Korea hopes to satisfy the needs of a diverse group of travelers by offering midscale to luxury lodgings. Furthermore, the Grand Mercure Ambassador will be an extended stay residence.
