Shenanigans

Shenanigans is about as Irish as you can get in Itaewon. Founded by an Irishman and a Korean American, Shenanigans is a long-time favorite pub of expats.

One of their specialty drinks is the Irish Trash Can. But what in the world is an Irish Trash Can? And what makes it so Irish? Think of Long Island Ice Tea’s cousin on steroids. In other words, a mix of a lot of alcohols with a lot of Red Bull. As the Red Bull seeps into the mix of spirits, it turns the drink green, hence the name Irish Trash Can. An addicting blend of gin, vodka, rum, triple sec, lemon juice, peach schnapps, Curacao Blue and Red Bull, this buzzy drink tastes like candy and is perfect for summer.

HAL HUSREVOGLU BURN IN HAL Hal Husrevoglu, owner of Burn in Hal, opened his popular cigar bar back in 2011 to create a space for him and his friends to enjoy cigars. Wanting a classy venue, Hal drew on his engineering expertise and constructed much of the unique Edwardian inspired atmosphere himself.

“This is a destination,” Hal explains, “it’s a cigar bar that is closer to a whisky jazz club in New York City or a London Bar.” Having resided in 7 other countries and traveled to over 50 countries, Hal has turned his space into a truly unique venue in Korea. As a social butterfly he has added malt scotch, aged rums, and live jazz performances to attract people with many interests into his swanky lounge.

“We get a healthy mix of people every night” Hal says proudly. Hal invites you to escape the busy streets of Itaewon and join his diverse crowd any night for a classy and social evening.
