1. Suji’s Deli - Eggs benedict and brunch go hand in hand. For me, Suji offers up the best option in the area. Two perfectly poached eggs on top of toasted English muffins, sautéed spinach drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Served with salad and home fries, what a way to start your day! 2. The Wolfhound - All Day Breakfast (W10,900) - The Wolfhound serves up a full Irish brunch. Sausages, bacon, hash browns, baked beans, toast, and eggs to your liking. 3. Berlin - Open Cuban Sandwich (W16,000)- Two crispy poached eggs, served on a slice of bread topped with ham, cheese, and pork. Served with salad and fries. The eggs are crispy on the outside but still runny in the middle, perfection. 4. Craftworks - Pulled Pork Pancakes (W13,000) Two big fluffy pancakes sandwiching a huge helping of spicy pulled pork. Yongsan-gu Bicycle Rental
The Yongsan District Office is providing an automated bicycle rental service for Yongsan-gu residents. The bicycles can be rented on the basement floor of the building near the Yongsan Community Health Clinic entrance. The bicycles can be rented for three hours free of charge. There will be an hourly charge of W1,000 after the first three hours. A second bicycle rental facility can also be found near the north end of the Hangang Bridge. A membership card will be needed in order to utilize the service and can be obtained at the Office of Transportation (교통행정과) on the 6th floor of the Yongsan District Office. You will need your ARC or a certificate of residency with a valid Yongsan-gu address to obtain the card. Simply swipe the membership card on the readers near the bicycles and happy riding!
Fine Art Classes at Jankura Art Space
The Jankura Art Space is offering fine art classes in English for those who are interested in drawing and painting. American artist, Mike Stewart, will be teaching the classes and will be limited to about ten students per class. Classes include long and short pose life drawing, basic drawing, and painting. Basic class prices cost W25,000 per session, and life drawing classes cost W10,000. Discounts will be given for reserving multiple classes. Tourist Police Officers Offer Protection for Tourists and Expats
In response to the rising numbers of foreigners visiting Seoul, the government decided to launch a tourist police force made up of 101 men and women in conjunction with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO). Tourist police officers will be providing foreigners with assistance in English, Japanese, and Chinese. The force was launched as a result of a rise in complaints regarding transportation operators like taxi drivers and vendors taking advantage of tourists and expats. Tourist police officers will be patrolling areas known for attracting expats and tourists such as Myeong-dong, Insadong, Itaewon, and Hongdae.
Free Influenza Vaccination Services
The Yongsan District Office is offering free influenza vaccinations for those older than 65 (must be born before December 31st, 1948). The vaccinations will be administered in the Yongsan-gu Community Health Center, which is located in the first basement floor of the Yongsan-gu office. Vaccinations are in limited supply and will be administered on a first come first serve basis. An alien registration card with a valid Yongsan-gu address is needed. Along with the Yongsan-gu Community Health Center, there are 78 other clinics that will provide free vaccinations up until November 30th. Vaccinations for those under 65 will be W30,000. 관광객 전용 경찰관들의 관광객들과 외국인거주자 보호 제공
서울을 방문하는 외국인들의 수가 늘어나면서, 정부는 한국관광협회(KTO)와 결합하여 남녀 101명으로 구성된 관광경찰을 출범하였습니다. 관광경찰들은 외국인들에게 영어, 일어, 그리고 중국어로 도움을 제공 할 것입니다. 관광객들과 외국인거주자들을 악용하는 택시 기사와 같은 교통 수단 운전자와 행상인들에 대한 불편 신고가 늘어남에 따라 관광경찰을 도입하게 되었습니다. 관강 경찰들은 명동, 인사동, 이태원 그리고 홍대 등 관광객들과 외국인 관광객들이 많이 가는 지역에서 순찰을 돌 예정입니다.
무료 감기 예방 접종
