CONCEPT: One of the most unique samples that comes to your mind when we mention the Saudi Arabia culture is palm trees and it is also related to the history of Arabic coffee as they used the Palm fronds to filter the coffee from its spices. So, the palm fronds were the inspiration behind the design concept. We can see the features of the palm branches in the project as the sharp edges and rhythm in the size also the usage of the dusty colours. The pattern on the ground and on the furniture are strongly related to the Saudi heritage.

(Revit)

My expectation was to learn how use the Revit starting from the Basics till advanced level. The course helped me to create more detailed with less mistakes drawing and also with saving more time as it creates sections and elevations. the course helped to be more realistic with my designs as it works with real components..

Human factor

(Redesing)

2020

My expectation was to know the dimensions that is used inside and outside the different types of building depending on the users, functions and the circulation of the space to create suitable areas for comfortable use for everyone and to consider he handicap users as well. The course helped me to think about others will use the space and walk through it.

Course: Human Factor Code: ARCH140 Instructor’s name: Kinza

Instructor Ms. Kenza Rauf

College Of Engineering Architectural Engineering Department Course: Human Factors and the Built Enviroment

Introduction

Colors palette

We chose the studying area from among the three mentioned places because it includes many problems that must be modified and also because it is a place where most university students sit at the time of studying and reviewing for exams

Description Among the most important things that have been modified in the place is its expansion and removal of the barrier between the computer lab and the study room. We kept the meeting room as it is in terms of size, but we changed the type of glass used in it (Shaded glass) to make the room more private. We tended in the design to choose warm colors of various degrees to increase students' energy, and we chose to make the wall and the floor with light beige color so that the room appears larger. We also added various type of chairs, two printers, and a service counter etc

1 Problem

* Adequate privacy is not provided due to the tables next to each other

* The room is glass and there is no privacy, it may cause a lack of focus due to passing people

(Proxemics)

(Human Behavior)

7 Problem * All columns were placed in a wrong place, causing a reduction in the area of the room and also a cause of diminishing the lighting

2 Problem * The room is too large for a conference table of this size which is not well utilized

(anthropometric - columns direction) (perception - lighting)

(Anthropometrics - Wrong diminution)

* The windows should be able to open and close because with a room with this space needs fresh air every now and then

4

* The air condition in this room should be monitored every once in a while. Because sometimes it either very cold or very hot

screen clearly

6

* The room temperature should be well regulated and the room should have filter devices

5

* We can un tint the windows and let natural light come in the room instead of using so much artificial light
