JETVARNISH 3DS Don’t limit yourself to just beautifully printed jobs, its time to bring more value and creativity to your customers. Watch as the JETvarnish 3DS easily turns your printed jobs into spectacular pieces that your customers will find simply irresistible. You can accurately spot varnish all your digital prints thanks to an automated camera registration system (ARC), but you can also add variable tactile effects that will have your customers coming back for more. Because the JETvarnish 3DS is a completely digital system, there is no need for any expensive make ready procedures. Whether you are ennobling one single sheet or several thousands, the JETvarnish 3DS is where the traditional print finishing industry finally catches up to the advances in printing technology. Gain new customers and explore lucrative new market opportunities: your clients will receive stunning, tactile pieces that allow them to differentiate themselves from their competition.

JETVARNISH 3DS

Instant Production With extended formats ranging from A4 up to 36.4x102 cm, use the JETvarnish 3DS to upsell each one of your regular printed jobs into high margin spot UV jobs, or even higher margin 3DS embossed jobs.

The 3DS Digital Advantage The digitalization of the spot UV finishing allows you to take a few sheets from each job and spot UV coat it, producing sellable proofs so your customers can tangibly see and understand the additional visibility and effect that their jobs could have. Take your prints to a whole new dimension – 3D Spot UV Coat directly onto digital prints. Take advantage of the specially designed varnish formula coupled with the ability to precisely vary the level of coating thickness on each sheet, and along with ARC camera registration technology to give your digital prints an additional WOW factor. The variable data option adds full personalization capabilities for a maximum one-to-one marketing impact.

Inkjet Technology MGI’s exclusive inkjet technology brings you the quality you deserve, from the first page to the very last. Precise piezo (drop-on-demand) print heads, developed and manufactured by Konica Minolta, enable lines as small as 0.5 mm (1/144”) or as wide as the sheet.

Respecting The Environment – Closed-circuit functioning maximizes varnish consumption and prevents waste – Lower noise levels than European standards, virtually eliminating any noise pollution

Onboard Registration cameras The JETvarnish 3DS comes equipped with ARC (Automated Registration Cameras) registration technology, two onboard cameras combined with a proprietary tracking system designed to calibrate (on-the-fly) coating registration from sheet to sheet. The first camera reads printed marks and automatically corrects for changes in X and Y portions of each sheet. The second camera detects the paper skew and adjusted it on-the-fly. The ARC system ensures accurate spot UV coating, even on jobs with inconsistent print registration, a traditional obstacle for those wishing to spot UV coat jobs printed on some digital presses.

Production Assistance The JETvarnish 3DS comes with its own suite of software tools designed to streamline your production. It includes three main modules: 3DS HubManager, Spot Varnish Editor & Production Cost Analyzer (PCA).

The Production Cost Analyzer Based on your job’s spot UV coating file, the powerful PCA can anticipates production cost to the tenth of a cent, something that has until now never been possible on traditional spot coating technologies. Sleep deeply and soundly at night knowing in advance what your precise consumable costs are, in turn allowing you to make reliable and accurate job estimations.

Spot Varnish Editor An easy to use tool designed for editing job files on-the-fly. Why waste time going back and forth between your production and prepress departments when the JETvarnish 3DS operator can simply handle all job file modifications right there on the production floor. This major time saver was designed for a high production work environment where time is money.

3DS HubManager The 3DS HubManager allows you to follow your jobs, manage your job queue, create job tickets, recall reprints and adjust your ARC camera system in one simple place. A powerful function allows you to easily export all your detailed production data for internal costs for analysis or for quick integration into your MIS system.
