Press release Konica Minolta’s flagship printer stays ahead of the game in Europe Langenhagen, Germany, April 2012 The bizhub PRESS C8000, Konica Minolta's flagship model, was the most popular colour production printer in Europe in 2011. This result is based upon market research from the Swiss company infoSource, one of the leading providers of office automation market sizing data in West and East Europe. Introduced in late 2010, the bizhub PRESS C8000 is aimed at commercial offset and high volume digital environments such as graphic arts departments and creative print solution providers. According to infoSource’s market analysis, the bizhub PRESS C8000 was able to defend its leading role as the top selling cut sheet colour press in Western and Eastern Europe throughout 2011 with a market share of approximately 13 per cent inside the Color Press Segment. “There was a demand for our bizhub PRESS C8000 right from its presentation at IPEX 2010,” says Karl-Friedrich Edenhuizen, Product Manager Production Printing Group at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “We introduced the digital colour press as a powerful product with high image quality, durability, flexibility, reliability and volume capability. The facts provided by infoSource clearly document that our bizhub PRESS C8000 has kept all promises.” The high image quality and definition of the bizhub PRESS C8000 almost reach offset print quality. Furthermore, it impresses potential customers with speed and a variety of print media: it produces 80 A4 colour pages per minute and supports media up to 350 grams. The digital colour press reaches a monthly volume of up to 500,000 sheets. The bizhub PRESS C8000 is available with different controllers and various finishing options.
