Karl-Friedrich Edenhuizen, Product Manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, says of the new production printing systems: “With our new developments we are setting new quality standards for digital colour printing. The unrivalled technologies are impressive – and persuasive: 1,200 dpi with 8-bit depth, water de-curling, and automatic gradation correction. And these are only a few of the numerous features emphasising the top performance of both systems.” The new PRESSes work with Konica Minolta’s very own advanced colour processing technology S.E.A.D. II, which combines an array of technical innovations to guarantee truly exceptional colour reproduction at top speed, i.e. 60 pages per minute for the bizhub PRESS C6000 and 71 pages per minute for the bizhub PRESS C7000. Enhanced image quality and low fusing temperature on thick paper are maintained thanks to Konica Minolta’s Simitri HD toner. Both systems combine extensive media flexibility making the production of the most diverse materials easy work. They can also be equipped with any of the three controllers, EFI Fiery, Creo Colour Server and a unique, proprietary Konica Minolta controller. At the same time, the bizhub PRESS C6000 and C7000/P offer a choice of highly versatile finishing options. Thereby, Konica Minolta’s colour production PRESSes accommodate all customer requirements, including numerous online punching and stapling options, a generous selection of folding functions, and booklet creation and perfect binding. Konica Minolta’s remote diagnostics system CS Remote Care provides pro-active support once the bizhub PRESS C6000 and bizhub PRESS C7000/P are in the field. With constant analysis of the system performance CS Remote Care enables automated reporting and preventive maintenance, effectively assuring maximum system uptime. Konica Minolta Operator Replaceable Unit Management (ORU-M) further optimises system uptime through self-maintenance; this is to the particular benefit of in-house print rooms. It allows print providers to carry out preventive system care themselves. A fair amount of parts can be replaced without technical assistance from Konica Minolta – a situation that significantly reduces potential irregularities as well as system downtimes.
