Press release Compact productivity – Konica Minolta’s new colour printers magicolor 4750EN and 4750DN Langenhagen, Germany, April 2010 With the new magicolor 4750EN and magicolor 4750DN Konica Minolta introduces two speedy network colour printers for small businesses requiring PCL and PostScript support. The compact desktop devices offer impressive productivity and high-speed printing at 30 pages per minute in colour as well as monochrome. To satisfy universal printing needs of small workgroups, the new magicolors 4750EN and 4750DN feature versatile media handling capabilities and ensure economic printing with a small footprint.
The Konica Minolta magicolor 4750EN and magicolor 4750DN are equipped with Gigabit Ethernet delivery of fast network colour printing options. The device ensures PCL and PostScript support with an optional extension to XPS. With a built-in duplexer the magicolor 4750DN provides duplex printing at 100% performance – as fast as simplex printing and on the same small footprint as the magicolor 4750EN.
Konica Minolta’s proprietary Simitri HD polymerised toner enables environmentallyfriendly as well as high-quality printing. For one, the production of this toner generates considerably lower CO2 emissions than that of conventional pulverised toner. For another, using Simitri HD toner saves up to 15% energy with each printout, as it fuses at a lower temperature. Additionally, printing with this toner on the magicolors 4750EN and 4750DN promises a consistent brilliant print quality. The ultra-fine and uniformly shaped particles ensure sharp texts and smooth images.

Economic printing with the two new colour printers is further enabled by the integrated efficient toner save mode, making the colour printers save up to 50% of its toner. Two power save modes provide for low energy consumption: In stand-by the printers remain ready for instant operation. Sleep mode can be programmed to automatically switch the devices to minimum power consumption.
Printing daily correspondence, presentations, flyers, labels or even on envelopes – the new Konica Minolta desktop printers offer versatile media handling capabilities with a flexible standard paper feeder. They process all paper weights between 60 and 210 gsm while accepting paper sizes from A6 to A4. The paper input capacity can be increased to a generous 850 pages with an optional lower paper feeder.
The new network printers’ ease-of-use is another highlight. Thanks to their large backlit display and self-explanatory buttons, operating the devices is straightforward. The magicolors 4750EN and 4750DN offer simple check of toner status on the users’ PCs as well as easy exchange of consumables. With Konica Minolta’s Clean Planet programme used toner cartridges are recycled for free in an efficient and clean way to preserve precious resources.
“Our new magicolor 4750EN and magicolor 4750DN are the right devices for small workgroups that are looking for high-quality colour printing,” says Christina Degener, Product Manager Printer of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “They combine consistently brilliant printouts and low printing costs. Thus, quality and economic usage are no contradiction.”
