This Regency gentleman’s residence with French influence is called the Barrowden. The grand facade includes columns, detailed stonework and arched dormers. Railings are on the first floor windows. The stairs go up through the centre of the house to the attic: the first two flights are dog-leg and the one into the attic has a quarter turn. All Saints Church This pretty little church has some beautiful features. The windows are carved to a highly detailed design with matching inserts on the inside as well. Glazing is supplied which can be painted for a stained glass effect or just marked with a fine point permanent marker to simulate leaded windows. A finely detailed sun dial is on the bell tower. Timber trusses on the roof adds interest to the inside. The three windows in the bell tower have louvers behind them to allow the peel of the bells to ring out.
