Case Study The Coach House
PROPERTY SERVICES LTD
Multiple Extensions & Renovation Project The property owners of the The Coach House in Potsgrove approached FSG to manage the delivery of their large extension and renovation project. The project involved extending two parts of the property, converting rooms internally and installing various other measures including fascia, soffits and guttering, underfloor heating, a biomass boiler and insulation. Ground Floor Firstly, an extension was built on the side of the garage and then this space was converted into a new entrance to the property. Following the plans and working closely with the client to understand their requirements, the FSG Team installed a boiler room, various storage compartments and a downstairs lavatory. Leading on from this we removed a staircase so we could expand the dining room and install a new chimney with an open fire. The kitchen area was then also extended to create a kitchen and breakfast room combined with a lantern light at the rear. Central Heating System Upgrade The property was originally heated by an inefficient oil boiler and as the it’s not located on the gas grid system the owners decided to go with an energy efficient and environmentally friendly wood pellet biomass boiler. The biomass boiler was installed in the new boiler room and an underfloor heating system was also installed throughout the property.
