PROLOGUE e are inside it without knowing where W the nature terminates or (where) the arts starts----that is the best building! --Yutang Lin

Architecture is a man-made space that is created separately from nature, but is closely related to nature. In the course of architecture, I always put the connection between architecture and the environment in an important position. The environment shapes architecture, and architecture accompanies the environment to change. I think the biggest significance of architecture lies in this.

A GIRL'S JOURNEY

Memory Hall Design

[Architectural Design] 2018-2019 Teamwork Design. The open project 66 of Sudio Alpha Collaborator: Miao Zhang Individual Part: Analysis  Design of middle three part

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Child disappearances occur daily, but few receive attention. Even if an event is fortunate enough to get people's attention, it will soon be replaced by another hot event. People's concerns are constantly changing, failing to have a deep understanding of social events. This project aims to set up a memorial for Zixin as a representative and to make people remember the pain of this kind of social vicious incident.

STORY LINE Short life of Zixin can be summarized into five parts named birth, growth, transiton, pain and death. In this project, we conceive spatial forms based on the emotional tone of these five stages and connect them into simple and powerful memorial. We hope that during the visit, visitors will have more care for society and life. 1

BIRTH Hopeful

The beginning of life is life itself. The garden is a place that can symbolize new life. We use such a circular enclosed garden as the starting point of life. We hope that by cutting the lower part of the wall with a smooth curve, we create a sense of lightness and create a relaxed and lively atmosphere. At the same time, the circular openings on the wall provide people with the opportunity to look directly at the sea, allowing them to see tall towers in the distance.

DEATH Silent

In the past, it was believed that the dead would become fish in the sea in coastal area. Therefore, we chose to shape the "Dead" space into a circular space corresponding to "Birth" and place it under the water. People look out through the oval window, feeling the death-like tranquility and psychedelic light on the sea floor, then, start their own thinking.

GROWTH Happy

Through the exhibition of Zixin's life-saving supplies, visitors will feel the growth feeling of Zixin in the third person. Zixin's parents work outside the home all the year round, so for Zixin, there will be a negative tone in his growth, but growth is still full of possibilities and hopes. This is reflected in the construction of concrete with different forms of openings to let the light bring warmth into the building.

TRANSITION Disturebed

Standing on this platform, visitors can see that there is a viewing platform near the sea, but the thick arc wall is not inserted enough to make it directly accessible, just as Zixin encounters a huge change in the life track after the tenant. She can't reach the little happiness of ordinary life. The tower in the distance stands like a memorial column, emitting a heavy and rustic attraction that guides visitors.

PAIN Scary

This space symbolizes the suffering of Zixin before his death. The lengthy continuous advancement of the stairs to the depths, the gradually decreasing width of the steps, enclosed by the icy concrete material, the treatment of these spaces makes the visitors feel more depressed and heavy in the process of advancement, while stepping into death, while facing Think about death.

The School Library Design

[Architectural Design] 2017-2018 Individial Design. Redesign of the curricular project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The traditional campus library model faces challenges. First, changes in reading styles have had an impact on traditional library formats. People now have greater flexibility in reading space and less need to use library collections. The compression of library functions and the addition of new functions have enabled traditional libraries to develop into cultural complexes. Secondly, the university campus occupies a large amount of urban land, but most citizens cannot enjoy these resources, which to some extent requires that the school library be more public.

CORE CONCEPT Reading space in traditional libraries is accompanied by storage space. People have limited space and can only have a limited reading state. With the change of people's reading mode, electronic reading has freed people from paper books, and people's reading status has become more free. The weakening of people's demand for the traditional library's collection function makes the internal function of the library more likely.

Flexible reading room

More flexible space Large storage space

Controversy has persisted over whether campus libraries should be open to the public. On the one hand, public libraries need to provide more functions than campus libraries, and they must meet the needs of people of different ages for this place. On the other hand, campuses need to have independent libraries for research and education. This project intends to separate different applicable groups through the zoning method to achieve better publicity of campus libraries.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION During the development of cities, there are a large number of abandoned factory buildings. These buildings are not only the subject of urban renewal, they have considerable economic value, they are special products of urban change, and they have important social and cultural values. Different from other factory renovation projects, this renovation project will regard children as the main body to drive the regional vitality, and explore the feasibility of factory renovation in today.

BUILDING CATEGORY SITE INFORMATION Today, the Dongjiang Cement Plant Site has become the only preserved cement plant in the closed cement plant in Dongguan, which has high historical and cultural significance. The development level around the project is relatively low, there are more young people's education buildings, but there is no public venue for young people.

CORE CONCEPT Children living in the industrial area lack daily activities while the fabulous cement plant is now inaccessible. Thus, we try to complete the lack of both and introduce children's activities in the renovation of the cement plant site. The production process of the cement factory corresponds to activities such as learning to homogenize, personality development and the free movement of children, so that each part of the building becomes an incubator for the progress of children. Children learn and play there, gaining energy and knowledge. This not only increases the vitality of the building, but also allows everyone to better understand the history of the old construction site.

Listen to the rain [Architectural Design] 2019-2020 Individial Design. A new design project

Teahouse Design

PROJECT DESCRIPTION The bamboo tube house is a traditional architectural style. A small amount of it is still preserved in Guangzhou's Xiguan area. In this project, the spatial pattern of the bamboo tube house is simplified, and a spatial prototype is summarized. In terms of space design, the concept of "listening to the rain", an ancient Chinese poem, is used to design a special space based on the mood in the poem. People can enjoy the tranquility and life in this little teahouse.

The site is located at Yongqingfang, West Gate, Guangzhou. There are still many bamboo houses in this area-a traditional architectural style. The bamboo tube roof has a small width, but has a long depth. The overall shape is a long and narrow rectangle, and the lighting and ventilation are completed through several courtyards in the middle.

CORE CONCEPT Ancient poetry is an important cultural carrier of the Chinese nation. It expresses not only beautiful scenes, but also life philosophy. The word listening to rain tells the feelings of listening to the rain at thr different stages of life and expresses the sadness and joy of life. In the early stage of the project, the keywords in the poems were summarized into a more specific artistic conception, and the space was designed based on an artistic conception.Although they are different

spaces in the same building, they are independent of each other to avoid mutual interference. Under such a premise, the architect should try to weaken the functional meaning of the space and strengthen the space experience. Therefore, I chose the tea room with the same artistic conception as the functional subject, so that people can resonate with the feelings in the poetry in the special space. 3.Deformation according to functional requirements

4.Combining traditional pitched roof forms and building space requirements to generate continuous pitched roofs
