Prologue China's social reform since 1978 is also a process of rapid expansion of urbanization. In this process, the old social structure system disintegrates, while the new modern order is established and the public questions its rationality. Through the study of architecture, I could view this dynamic change from the perspective of a city observer. My perspective is from inside to outside, aiming at the city's interior and its boundaries. In the first part of my portfolio, projects are located in the old central urban area and in the skyline of high-density city. The metabolism of the old and the new system in the process of urban development coincides with the temperament of the post-modernism movement, which focuses on individual emotions in the background of the times. Therefore, in this part, I discuss the lack and suture of human emotion in modern cities. In the second part of my portfolio, projects are located on the edge of urban expansion and in the mountains far away from the city. The former discusses the distinct spatial dynamic relationship on the urban borderline, while the latter considers the promotion of replicable media in mountainous areas to open a window for rural children to connect the city.

WHO WILL MOVE IN NEXT? More than 6,000 people from different countries live in harmony in this building. The Chungking Masions has the magic of combining different cultures and personalities of people. So who will move in the building during next five years?
Where This Story Begins: History of Chungking Mansions Chungking Mansions was originally an apartment community for government personnel. Over time, more and more people of different colors entered it, so it has gradually become a multicultural center, just like the miniature of Hong Kong.
In a high-density modern city, people's emotions are alienated.
People are trapped in a concrete forest, at a loss.
High density city reduces the physical distance of people, but enlarges the distance of souls.
People are so different from each other, just like different species.
When in the crowd of Hong Kong, the loneliness is magnified.
An opportunity: the emergence of social software helps people meet.
They get to know each other better by chatting on the Internet.
The lonely man finds his soul mate in Chungking Mansions.
How This Story Begins: Urban People's Loss of Emotion The disintegration of the old system over the decades has inevitably resulted in the loss of values and neglect of humanity. However, the emergence of social software may provide new opportunities.

Lao-xi-men is located in the downtown area of Shanghai, which is one of the largest old-fashioned blocks. As the origin of this city, after 2 marginalization campaigns, the function of the urban central area shifted, resulting in the weakness of the Lao-xi-men area and the low living standard of residents. Starting from street space, this design combs the 3 liner levels of cultural tour path, life path and business path. We superimposed different surface fields and carried out typological research on different street profiles. This project will create, strengthen street atmospheres and helps the residents of old city compartments to improve their existing living conditions.

Border Conditions, Genova
03 Border Spatial Conditons on the Borderline of Urban Expansion Genoa is a seaport city in northern Italy. Restricted by the natural topography of the northern mountains and the southern ocean, Genoa has gradually expanded to the natural mountains in its urban development history. Therefore, on the edge of urban expansion, we can extract the border conditions between human activity area and natural area. The design theme of cemetery is from the symbolic meaning of border. Border not only refers to the location of this project which is on the urban expansion borderline stipulated by the policy, but also refers to the life and death border of the cemetery.

05 Field Personal Internet Entrepreneurship Project Co-founder: Yizhi Zhao Summer, 2020 Stall economy is the world economy and stall culture is the world culture. In the post epidemic era, after the long period of isolation during the epidemic, my co-founder Zhao and I understand that the fresh supply retail trade is a blue ocean market in the Internet era. Field is an online search platform for the transaction time, place, price and other information of fresh stalls in the consumers’ own cities. The fresh food stall in the same city is a transaction mode to minimize the transportation, storage time and price cost of food. Thus, this platform helps stall owners (rural vegetable and fruit farmers, urban fresh and light processed food vendors) to better generate income, facilitate consumers to find cheaper and fresh ingredients in their own city, and make the online fresh goods information transparent.

Monopoly Procedure of Internet Capital Giants on Traditonal Fresh Food Market During the epidemic period, the blockade lasted for several months. Hence, the traditional fresh industry suffered a serious blow and China’s fresh market is in need of recovery. However, the capital giants adopted the monopoly strategy of eliminating and purchasing ordinary workers. In the traditional fresh food market, the self-employed can not resist the power of capital.
“The lower strata of the middle class -the small tradespeople, shopkeepers, and retired tradesmen generally, the handicraftsmen and peasants-all these sink gradually into the proletariat, partly because their diminutive capital does not suffice for the scale on which Modern Industry is carried on, and is swamped in the competition with the large capitalists, partly because the specialized skill is rendered worthless by new methods of production. Thus, the proletariat is recruited from all classes of the population.”

Feedback And Evaluation Interaction
Different from the take-out food platform, online stall gives both parties higher autonomy and reduces the cost of the transactions.
Anti-Strategy: Informationize Traditional Fresh Market To Facilitate Real Economy The core competence of the online mode of “stall economy” is to promote information transparency. It contributes to completing the transformation of traditional market and stall to ease the conflict between stall economy and modernization. The mobile booth and booking function can minimize the potential waste of time and the cost of renting stalls. The concept of “all people selling” lies in promoting the shared economy, promotes the purpose of “labor creates value” and creates more part-time jobs.

Main Trading Sites of Downtown Area In agricultural markets, fairs, roadside stalls and other areas, stall owners are guided by this online platform. The policy of mobile stalls can reduce time, rental fees and potential waste costs, and benefits the people. The online videoes and graphic information of individual stalls are encouraged to attract more consumers and expand sales. Stall owners can trade according to the existing bus route stations, which are familiar nodes for the public. In the period of commuting, it is conducive to the fresh trade. As a pure search platform of online information, it charges no entry fee and takes no cut, which means the value of workers is embodied by themselves. Now it has started the first round of angel financing in my hometown.

Autumn,2017
As a secularized religion, Buddhism is consistent with the temperament of the old block of Wen-shu-fang. The shape evolved according to lotus, which is an important flower in Buddhism. And the general space of concrete and brick wall also implied the theme of “stone carving”. At the same time, the circular central pool is used to explain the concept of reincarnation.
