Low Maintenance & High Selected
Our purebred cow herd is run like most low cost commercial herds with stringent selection for fertility, fleshing ability. Only the top 35% of our bull calf crop are selected as sale bulls.
Bred & Fed for Longevity
Our bulls are fed a high forage backgrounding ration that ensures their fertility and longevity. They are never creep fed. They are summered on grass and wintered in big pens. No feet are trimmed. Our bulls are not fitted.

Aboutthe"Easy"Bulls
We have bred an easy calving line of our Herefords for generations. We name them "Easy" when they meet the following standards;
1. Must be born unassisted
2. Must be below 85 lb birthweight from a mature cow and below 80 lb birthweight from a first calf heifer (All calf birth weights are taken with a digital scale)
3.Must have below average birthweight (BW) EPD and above average calving ease (CE) EPD
4.Must be born quickly, have good shape for calving ease and excellent vigour at birth
5. Must have good quality and growth to weaning characteristics
"The calving ease is bred in before the name goes on" "EASY"
NOTE:
Fertility: All two year old bulls will be semen tested after purchase and closer to delivery or pick up date. The yearling bulls will be tested after they reach one year of age.
DeliveryandBoard: Free delivery within 300km of the farm in March and April after semen testing. If the buyer wishes, the bulls can be fed until June 1 if the purchaser picks their bulls up at the farm. We will work with buyers on delivery to central points on further distances.
