Green Space Connects Communities

The parkway, which runs in all directions, connects communities and closely connects people to nature. The gentle pattern of paths can make residents who live in crowded communities feel relaxed. As people walk along the garden path, they seem to follow the main roles' steps, and to gain spiritual healing and peace of mind in relaxation and meditation.

BIRD'S EYE VIEW MODEL

People living upstairs also have a good view of the park from above.

People can choice different paths, lie on the grassy slope to rest, climb up and down the slope and wander as the soul in the fairy tale.

People can go through the flower border there.

The pool represents death. People can meditate there.

This sinking road which makes people feel depressed represents betrayal.

The bottom of the pool in the park is glass. The sun will reflect beautiful light and shadow in the basement, which is connected to the parking lot exit. This symbolizes the sea and death in the fairy tale. Give people a special experience.

When enjoying the sunshine on the grass slope and meditating in front of the pool, their hearts build a bond with the surroundings, from which they get healed.

Statement

In recent years, Shanghai's agricultural land has been gradually squeezed out by the city, leading to a dependence on other provinces and overseas for the supply of agricultural products. Negative impacts of traditional agriculture include increased costs of agricultural products due to long-distance transportation, short-term food shortages due to blocked food imports at special times, and environmental damage due to high carbon emissions. Urban agriculture has many advantages over conventional agriculture. At the same time, urban wastelands in cities offer a viable space for urban agriculture. The project aims to renovate the Yang Shupu power plant, which has been out of production for over 10 years. The introduction of urban agriculture, based on cleaning the site from pollution, reduces long-distance transportation costs and carbon emissions. At the same time, it will make it easier for city dwellers to buy food and wander around the agricultural park, enriching their lives and increasing employment.

Inconvenient And Unreachable

If urban farms can be set up in factories, self-produced and self-sold high-quality and low-cost agricultural products will be able to facilitate the lives of residents.

The residents are denser and the demand for agricultural products is large. However, there is a lack of large vegetable markets within a 15-minute walk around the community, making it inconvenient to buy vegetables.

SELF-SEFICIANT AGRITECTURE PARK

Transform the old Power Plant, which has been out of production for decades, into an urban agricultural park by incorporating carbon footprint reduction, production, and harvesting experience.

Recycle System

Because of the building's historic value, the main power plant on the site will be preserved. Considering the pollution of the site, the renovation of the factory area will start with the treatment of the pollution and then the introduction of urban agriculture. Finally, the cultural industry should be developed.

Statement

A herd of wandering elephants in southwest China's Yunnan providence has embarked on a 18-month-long adventure of mammoth proportions from 2020 to 2021. We systematically analysed the possible reasons of this phenomenon, which includes global warming and habitat deterioration. Then, We have analysed in detail the elephants' habits and habitat preferences with a view to mitigating human-elephant conflicts. This proposal is based on the Meng Yangzi Conservation Area in Xishuangbanna, and takes a part of Guanping Village, Jinghong City as an example. We aim to select and create more suitable habitats for elephants, and to show them better migration paths by setting up village buffer zones and food-source bases, optimising habitat tree species and monitoring, in order to protect elephants while also protecting human property and personal safety. Through these changes, we hope to drive the economic development of local villages and explore the potential of local tourism, building a virtuous cycle of production-tourismecology and achieving a win-win situation for both ecology and economy.

In recent years, economic trees such as rubber and tea forests have gradually taken over the natural rainforest for economic reasons, reducing the area of the animals’ habitat. In addition, the construction of infrastructure such as roads and dams has also led to habitat fragmentation.

Elephant migration is hampered by expanding villages as population increases. And conflicts between human and elephants have intensified.

The area of rubber forest and tea plantation has increased rapidly which has greatly reduced the habitat area of wild Asian elephants.

Plants grown in the food-source base mature at the same time which not only increases the elephants' dependence on crops in villages.
