The e in the light year equations. is not X's by itself. You cannot take infinite Energy into its self & x's by the same. That's wrong. The Equation of E = mc 2 or Energy = Mass of Light 2. Of which The Light is the Mass. giving off the energy. Forward’s and backwards. When we see quasars. You see the light. That light is not permissible to be X's into its self as a Equation. Thus rendering that as is. That light of the Quasar is Just Light. Not a solid object. Thus making the energy of the light mass. Or in backwards. E = mc 2 which is not X's into itself. The object is just an object. The light is not an object it's a source of energy giving off the light. E = MC2, so talking on the terms of light year is the distance the light travels. & not an object. How fast an object travels in space is up to nature its nature that sets the speed limit not the vacuum of space or in this case. E = MC2 No the Light. The Light or in this case. Energy. U can get a mathematical term for Energy of Light. All light is. is Visual, and not an Object. The Object is the Mass or this case M. But the Speed of the Light is the C. or the Speed in the Vacuum of space. The Speed of the light in the vacuum which causes the light to move in the distance it travels. Is the C. E = MC2 Mass = Light Speed. Or in this case. E=MC2 Energy of the light (Light Speed) = the mass of the light. But the Mass is the equivalent to the Photons. A Photon is a particle. This is seen in small scales. Is like seeing a thing called a Orb. All a orb is a Particle. You cannot measure a particle but you can see a particle. In some instances. But not in most cases. This is like looking at a spec. When you look at earth from afar all you see is a spec. It is there but you cannot measure a spec. thus quantum physics is used to study things. or spec's on a small scale. E=MC2.
