From pillow lips to bubble butts and XXL boob jobs, it seems that some stars believe bigger is always better. No stranger to extreme looks, Kylie Jenner admits she went so OTT on lip injections that even she realised it was too much. ‘I went too far,’ she confesses. ‘It was very painful.’ Even so, there are claims Kylie has recently dialled up the lip illers again – so much so that she now has to drink

through a straw! ‘She’s had so much lip iller that it’s hard for her to eat and drink and talk,’ says a friend, adding the reality star now ‘has a problem pronouncing certain words and letters, particularly B and W’. In La La Land, you play aspiring actor Mia. What’s the audition process like IRL? When I was 16, a casting director screamed at me; went ballistic when I didn’t know my lines 30 seconds after I got the script. Being in an audition room is… unique! That’s brutal, especially when you were so young. How did you get past that? You’ve just got to keep trucking. In the years of auditioning and feeling how Mia is feeling, it’s nice to have it turned into something productive. Every actor can relate to those feelings.

Do you ever get sick of people asking about Ryan Gosling? My friends don’t ask about Ryan every day. It’s mostly in interviews, which makes sense, so I don’t mind talking about [him].

Ryan Gosling has to dance in the flick, too! Could you say he was a natural? I would go to my tap dancing lessons every day, and I would ask how Ryan was doing. hey’d say, ‘He is really good, he is amazing.’ So for two months I thought he was the best dancer of all time and I was failing miserably. hen they put us together and I was like, ‘I’ve got this!’

The chemistry between three-time co-stars Emma and Ryan Gosling is electric. ‘[Ryan] elevates everything he touches,’ she gushed at the recent BAFTAs.

Phew! So what’s something we might not know about Ryan? You know, in case we ever meet him… He loves Twizzlers. He used to eat so many on set it was concerning. He had them in his suit pocket. Bring him some Twizzlers if you want to get on his good side.

And look at you now! You’ve obviously nailed the acting, but how did you prep for the dancing scenes in La La Land? We rehearsed for almost three months. A lot of dancing, a lot of singing. We had to learn to tap and ballroom dance, which was wonderful. It was so much fun. I beat up my feet, but it was worth it…

Nice tip! You recently opened up about your struggles with anxiety – what’s your experience of anxiety like? My brain naturally zooming 30 steps ahead to the worstcase scenario… I [used to] ask my mum a hundred times how the day was gonna lay out. What time was she gonna drop me of? Where was she gonna be? What would happen at lunch? Feeling nauseous.

So how did taking acting classes help? You have to be present in improv, and that’s the antithesis of anxiety. You’re super successful now. Do you ever worry that it might all end? I felt like that yesterday at 4.30! I think that might be the life of a creative person, the ups and downs… I have no idea what’s to come. I try to stay in the moment. It’s the best job ever, but it’s also f---ing awful!

As her world was rapidly spiralling, Adele reached out to the ones she knew she could rely on – her mates. ‘As 21 got bigger and bigger, I started getting back with all my old friends,’ she says. ‘I needed them big time.’ here are a few famous names in her group of girlfriends – Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are both pals – but Adele doesn’t use the s-word. ‘I’ve heard about a squad,’ she chuckles. ‘I wish my squad was all supermodels. We are… in our brains!’ Not everyone is welcome in her crew, though. ‘Some artists, the bigger they get, the more horrible they get and the more unlikeable,’ she reveals. ‘I don’t care if you make an amazing album – if I don’t like you, I ain’t getting your record.’ Fans and friends aside, it’s Adele’s family who bring her the most joy. he star’s face lights up whenever she mentions her son Angelo. ‘He makes me so proud of myself,’ she says. ‘He makes me like myself so much.’ Even so, there were tough times. ‘I had really bad postpartum depression,’ shares Adele, who battled the illness in silence. ‘My knowledge of [it] is that you don’t want to be with your child,’ she explains. ‘But I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate; I felt like I’d made the worst decision of my life.’ he turning point came when Adele decided to speak out. ‘One day I said to a friend, “I f---in’ hate this,” and she just burst into tears and said, “I f---in’ hate this, too.” And it was done; it lifted,’ she says. ‘Four of my friends felt the same way I did and everyone was too embarrassed to talk about it.’ For years, the experience ‘frightened’ her of having more kids. But with her little boy growing up fast, Adele is yearning for more. ‘I feel like once they turn four, they’re not really your actual baby anymore,’ she says. ‘So my womb is starting to ache a little bit. It’s like, “Baby, baby, baby! Need a baby! Need a baby!”’ And no doubt Simon is on board! Adele’s previous encounters with love were the catalyst for some of her most iconic ballads, including her anthem for the broken-hearted, Someone Like You. But when the 42-year-old businessman came into her life in 2011, it all changed. ‘When I met Simon, I knew something was going to happen,’ she gushes. Unlike Adele’s previous partners, Simon – who she called her ‘husband’ during an acceptance speech at this year’s Grammys – has never felt threatened by her success. ‘Simon is already who he is, and I’m still becoming who I’m going to be,’ she explains. ‘He’s conident. He’s perfect.’

Her aim is to run a full marathon. ‘Hopefully 2017 is the year!’ says the 24-year-old. he trick is to start small. Karlie advises running 3km to begin with, before working up to longer distances like 8km. ‘hen you can really push yourself, but not be too hard on yourself,’ she explains. Other favourite workouts include biking and swimming, but lately she’s also become a fan of boxing. ‘Which is a new challenge for ballerina over here,’ the trained dancer muses. Travelling can also present a challenge, but the itness devotee makes sure to hit the hotel gym when she can. ‘I like to do a little bit of cardio and just something to break a sweat,’ says Karlie. ‘hat’s the best way to feel good – and to ight jet lag.’

Did you know… It may not come as a surprise that Monday is the most popular day for people starting diets and fitness programs. That’s because of the ‘fresh start effect’, according to a study by the University of Pennsylvania. But if you do fall off track mid-week, don’t wait until next Monday to start again. ‘The key to change is at the next meal or the next morning, starting over,’ explains psychologist Ann Kearney-Cooke.

Studies have shown that stress can make your body produce more cortisol, a hormone known to trigger food cravings. In her book Living the Healthy Life, nutritionist and health blogger Jessica Sepel shares her deep belly breathing tips for keeping stress at bay. 1. Place one hand on your tummy, and the other on

your chest. 2. Open your mouth and sigh. As you do, allow your shoulders and upper body to relax. 3. Close your mouth and pause for a few seconds. 4. With your mouth still closed, inhale through your nose and into your diaphragm until your stomach pops out. Pause for a moment. 5. Exhale slowly. Do 10-20 times daily.

FEVER Cure cravings with these tasty stacks 1. TURKEY SCHNITZEL & BACON SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

•4 rashers rindless bacon, halved •2 tbsp olive oil •4 crumbed turkey schnitzel steaks •4 sot white rolls, split •1 avocado, peeled, seeded, sliced •125g brie, sliced •1 cup sprouts •1⁄3 cup cranberry sauce

METHOD 1 Heat a large non-stick frying pan on medium. Fry bacon 3-4 minutes, turning once, until crisp and golden. Drain on paper towel. Keep warm. 2 In the same pan, heat oil and cook schnitzel 3-4 minutes each side, until cooked through. 3 Fill each roll with layers of avocado, brie, sprouts, schnitzel, bacon and sauce.

2. CHICKEN SATAY SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

•500g chicken mince •2 tbsp Thai red curry paste •1 tbsp vegetable oil •1 Lebanese cucumber, peeled into ribbons

•4 sesame bread rolls, split •1⁄2 cup coriander leaves •Satay sauce, warmed, to serve METHOD 1 In a bowl, combine mince and paste. Season and mix well. Shape into 4 even-sized, ﬂattened patties. 2 In a non-stick frying pan, heat oil on medium. Cook patties 10-12 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. 3 Fill rolls with cucumber, coriander, patties and satay sauce.

INGREDIENTS

•500g beef mince •150g pastrami slices,

ﬁnely chopped •1 tbsp olive oil •4 light rye bread rolls, split •4 Swiss cheese slices •225g ready-made coleslaw mix •4 dill pickles, sliced •1⁄3 cup thousand island dressing, to serve

METHOD 1 In a bowl, combine mince and pastrami. Season and mix well. Shape into 4 even-sized, ﬂattened patties. 2 In a frying pan, heat oil on medium. Cook patties 10-12 minutes, turning once, until cooked through. 3 Fill rolls with cheese, coleslaw, patties, pickles and dressing.

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

•4 frozen crumbed fish fillets •500g frozen oven-bake chips •1 cup frozen peas •1 tbsp lemon juice •1⁄2 cup Greek yoghurt •1 tbsp mint leaves, chopped •4 sot white rolls, split •1 small gem lettuce, leaves separated METHOD 1 Bake fish and chips in a preheated oven, following packet instructions. 2 Microwave peas with a splash of water, on high, covered, for 2 minutes. Drain and roughly mash. Stir in juice and season. 3 In a small bowl combine yoghurt and mint. Season. 4 Fill rolls with lettuce, chips, fish, pea mash and yoghurt.

5. PESTO MUSHROOM SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

METHOD 1 In a large frying pan, melt butter on medium. Cook mushrooms, stem side down, covered, 6-8 minutes. 2 Turn mushrooms over. Top each with a cheese slice and dollop of pesto. Cook, covered, 2-3 minutes. Season. 3 Fill rolls with vegetables.

With mining technician Sean unable to relocate because of his two children, it seemed there was no other option for the duo, but in a revealing interview with OK!, Susan says this wasn’t quite how it played out IRL…

Please tell us this isn’t the end of your relationship with Sean?! It wasn’t the end for me at all. He’s a nice guy and it’s very easy to be in love with him. So his homestay didn’t turn you oﬀ? Not at all! Phew! Because it looked like the cracks were starting to show… [Being friends] is something that we spoke about pretty much every day of the experiment; [this] is just the irst time that we talked about it on the show. So could you see yourself moving to his farm? Yeah, but I would change a few things. I’d get air-conditioning and I’d ix the lyscreens. [Laughs] I thought it was really pretty. Did you talk about having kids together? We did, and we agreed that if it were with the right person we’d be open to talking about it. ‘I TOOK MY DIVORCE OUT ON LAMA’ South Australian contenders Sarah and Lama reveal to OK! that they were far from in the right headspace to cope with the pressures of the competition and it caused major ﬁreworks between them. ‘A couple of weeks before I went on the show I broke up with my husband,’ tells hair and make-up artist Sarah, 33. ‘It wasn’t the easiest time to tackle a cooking competition and we did take it out on each other,’ she explains. Finance broker Lama was also struggling, as her partner David was involved in a serious motorbike accident just before the show. ‘In hindsight, it was probably the worst time,’ says Lama, 34. ‘We were highly stressed and took it out on each other.’

nephews, and I’m deinitely comfortable around kids, but I don’t have any and I’m not married… If I was, I would hopefully be as enamoured with my wife and kids as Jack is with his. Did working with children make you clucky at all? I don’t really get clucky; birth control is a better concept, I think. But when that time does come, it will hopefully be fun and exciting, and hopefully I’ll do it with conidence and grace. What was it like having Mandy Moore as your on-screen wife? She is incredible! We got together and said, ‘Let’s make these characters real.’ So from action to cut, we are husband and wife. The plot twists are superb! Did the scripts surprise you? It was exciting.
